Hi! The custom CSS sheet doesn’t seem to be read. I’ve put some custom CSS in there and it won’t seem to be applied. I’ve created a div and tried to modify 2-3 elements that is already in the code, and I can’t see the modification. They also won’t appear in the console.

If sections are controlled by customizer then it will not change because you can edit it from customizer. You can also use customizer’s custom css section. If div element are controlled by shortcode inline css then you have to use those shortcodes style property for custom css like style=”padding:10px” in shortcode.

You don’t need to register this slider because it is coming free with theme purchase. If you want to became direct buyer of this plugin then you can buy it from “codecanyon” website. We are regularly updating theme with latest version of this slider so we suggest you to save your money because except automatic update there is no other big advantage for direct buyer.

Hi, can you help me. We are using this theme on http://www.roundhayevangelicalchurch.com/ and the sermon shortcode in our footer isn’t showing the last two sermons. Instead it is showing the first two sermons we created. How do we get it so the widget shows the latest two?

Is it possible to nest an accordion inside an accordion? I have tried, but it ends up only nesting the first item in the inside accordion and the other inside items attach to the outside accordion. At the end, /swm_toggle_accordion displays when viewing the page.

You can not include one shortcode inside same shortcode because script will find closing tag of start tag which will close with child shortcode and make after closing tag all text as a simple text.

Hi, I got your “spiritual” theme for my website and i have been trying the revolution slider and visual composer plugins and it keeps giving me the error 500 or stalling at “unpacking the package” fir the revolution slider plugin.I was wondering whether there was any work around to this problem

If you activated child theme and trying to install plugin then it will not work because child theme doesn’t have plugin folder. You can fix it by activating parent theme, install plugins and then activate child theme.

I am being prompted at the top of my Dashboard to update or install required plugins after installing the Spiritual Child Theme. However, when I attempt to install I get this message (this is for Visual Composer):

I also tried updating Church Shortcodes, Metabox, Revolution Slider, and Multiple Sidebars and all receive an identical message: “Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.”
I assume the URLs are supposed to be contained in the Spiritual Child Theme .zip I used to install the theme?

I have already contacted the Hosting guys and they are saying there is some problem with the theme Files. Please check out and solve it . I am getting below error.

We found one big mistake in your theme installation.
Please unzip main downloaded zip file and only upload “spiritual.zip” file because you have uploaded whole folder which is not correct. When you unzip main zip file, you will find several folders. Click on “Help-Documentation” folder and then index.html file to view all steps for theme setup. This will fix the issue.

Thank you for making an awesome theme! Hopefully these are easy questions. 1) How do I change the color of the links in pages, sermons, events, blogs, etc.? 2) How can I change the page title of blogs to “News”? 3) How do you set the header images of archive pages and 404 pages?

Thank you for your nice words.
1) Default link color is set to primary skin color. If you want to edit it then you can use editor toolbar edit text color tool or add custom css in admin > appearance > customize > custom css javascript > custom css
2) If you want to edit blog title then go to admin > appearance > customize > blog > “Blog Single Page” section > “Single Page Title” – enter new title
3) You can set category images from admin > appearance > customize > header > post categories page header – section
( 404 is a standard page so didn’t include any option but you can change content image from customizer’s Error 404 section )
I tried to use the css a { xxx } but it changes the colors for other pages that I do not want to change. Is it possible to limit the changes to just links inside blog posts, sermons and pages?
Will I still have access to future updates to the Spiritual theme after the support ends?

This is not possible to specify for specific post but you can try with body class css style. For example find unique css class name in sermon, sermon single, blog and blog single and add css name as per this class or you can use page id to give specific page css.
Support is optional and Update is lifetime so you will get all updates after support expired. We also answer for simple question after support expires.

A couple of questions more
1) Is there a way to change the size of the container box and sermon image for Recent Sermons? The church has no need for PDF or displaying URL for the recent sermons so we’d like to make the container box and sermon image smaller http://i.imgur.com/wsNtuGD.jpg
2) The main menu bar by default is at the right side. Is it possible to move it to the left side?
3) Is it possible to add colors to the social media icons in the menu bar? Right now they are all colored gray.

2) You can move left to right main navigation with below custom css
nav.swm-top-menu { float:left }
3) Menu bar icons are images so we can’t change color from css but you can replace images.
Images folder : ../wp-content/themes/spiritual/images/icons

You can set any page as home page and set revolution slider. This details are added in help file index #3 Create Home page with Revolution Slider
When page is ready with revolution slider then go to admin > settings > reading > select “A Static Page” radiobox of “Front page displays” field. > Select page name from “Front Page” dropdown and save this settings.
This will display home page with revolution slider.
