Loving the new update. However, am I missing something – is there a way to have the “full screen” menu navigation – but not have all rows full screen? I like the minimalism of that menu, but I don’t want all my rows to be full screen. I know there is a VC element for submenu – but it’s not as nice & polished as the “full screen” feature nav menu.

unfortunately there’s no way to take one of the features from the fullscreen row and have it function outside of it without custom modding, however i’ve noted the idea for the wishlist as a new style for the page submenu

HI smessage is below I am looking for the social icons for the secondary header in v7.6. I can find them in the footer, but not the header.
I usually just replace soundcloud with fa-houzz or fa-yelp or whatever the icon the client wants. I am just not finding it in the header.php for v7.6. >.<
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m face to an embarrassing problem with the salient theme… None of my image on articles are displaying, it’s seems to be due to a missing ” in one of your scripts, I just updated my theme without touching any script but I can’t find wich one it is. It seems to be related to PrettyPhoto that’s included with Salient.

In fact, it’s not a Js error, it’s an html one, at the line where you can find “prettyPhoto[gallery-3au3] You can notice that there is an img tag just after that but it can’t be displayed because of the missing “

I should clarify – this is in the admin backend. The rows just stop loading after a certain point. I even tried a fresh install of wordpress on a subdirectory and same thing happens. www.stambaughdesigns.co

If you’re using a 5/6, you’d need to have a 1/12 on each side to center it. For example 1/12 + 5/6 + 1/12
@myuption: I have the same problem like you after the update: http://gmx485.d.pr/1ggXS This is what was shown in the backend. It was no longer recognizing the dynamic sidebar element and therefore on the front end it just showed the shortcode text as well.
I removed the sidebars for now but I hope that this is just a temporary issue because I have build two websites that are based heavily on the use of widgetized sidebars.

Massive update was worth the wait! With that said, I’d like to increase the size of the down arrow in Nectar Slider. I previously submitted a ticket (#932438) and was given 3 different custom css to use, but none of them worked. I was hoping after updating to version 8.0 this morning, I could get one of them to work, but didn’t happen.
Can you provide me with css code that will increase the size of the down arrow to say 40px?

Seems to be a salient issue, I just checked my backup and inside salient VC there is a widgetised sidebar option, it is not present in the update. Hope you fix this soon.

I just completed updates for Salient 8.0 and Visual Composer 5.0.1 and had to restore a backup. The “Responsive” options have broken my “mobile rows” and everything is visible on all screen sizes.
I have replicated the issue on a staging site: http://captivatingcal.staging.wpengine.com/wedding-calligraphy/
I have attempted to uncheck and recheck the hide options on the “Responsive” tab in the column settings, but they are still showing on all devices.
This is a HUGE issue for me, as the majority of my client’s sites are built on Salient and have these “mobile rows”.

Dear support team, We received an email notification on 2/27/17 about Salient theme update. Before we do it I wanted to know if we need to update our Wordpress first? We currently have Wordpress version 4.5.3 running and on dashboard it tells us that version 4.7.2 is available. Your reply will greatly help us to update theme successfully and avoid any mishaps.

Just wanted to make sure that once we upgrade the theme our website will work fine, right? I have backed up content files through wordpress “Tools” that gives you everything as XML file and I am also in the process of backing up Databases. Do you think we need to take care of anything else to avoid messing up things?
Also one last question, is it possible to upgrade theme via Wordpress dashboard or do we manually have to transfer new files via FTP?

Hey, you shouldn’t need to do anything else – as long as you have no modified the core theme files, updating is painless. You can also use the WP admin through the Envato markplace plugin http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/

Wow, that really is great. I’ve used 5-10 licenses of another best selling theme, but this latest update is making me think twice. What is your plan for adding more templates in the future? Or is this it for a little while?
And last thing if you don’t mind me asking. Are all the animations (especially the text fading up so nicely) custom to Salient? Or do they use an animation plugin?

Unfortionatley I am here right now to repport a bug regarding Mobile Responsive Mode. The problem is that it breaks the whole webiste visually so it’s one of thoose SUPER URGENT bug fixes.
I. Here’s how to recreate a bug: 1. Open http://impressence.rs 2. Set the browser window width at aroung 1150 px 3. Slowly resize the browser window width to 1350 px 4. You will notice a new column appears between 1200 – 1300 px 5. This column is supposed to be hidden – and only appear in mobile view. 5.1. This is set up in the Responsive Options of a column. 5.2. For some reason, the website shows the column, even if it is supposed to be hidden. 5.3. This only happens between 1200 – 1300 px width 5.4. I have tested this with two different machines, and both show the same bug
II. My Client setup: - mac OS Sierra (version 10.12.1 and 10.12.3) - MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) and iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010) - Safari and Chrome browser test on both machines
III. My Server setup: - Wordpress 4.7.2 with Salient 8.0 - I have also tried downgrading to Salient 7.6 but the bug is still there - I think it might have to do something with the new wordpress update, since I haven’t noticed this error before, and I have been using Salient since version 1.0 (even before the responsive options)
Please fix this bug ASAP since it brakes the whole website visually. More on how ugly it looks – try to recreate the same bug on http://dominante.co . It breaks the whole Landing Page.

Still have some remarks: – Minimal Portfolio demo only shows three portfolio items (also in your demo) – Child theme is not working with Minimal Portfolio demo, only shows a black page.
And a question: – As it is possible to set a parent portfolio category, is it possible to make the child category appear as a submenu in the filter?
