In my company we are thinking of purchasing this theme, but, as I saw in the comments that there were some people who had some problems with their server configurations, we would like to ask before.
Our server has these settings, and it’s not possible for us to change them, due to hosting provider limitations: PHP version: 5.5.3 max_execution_time = 20 memory_limit = 128M upload_max_filesize = 16M post_max_size = 16M
So, do you think the theme will work, or will we have the same issues that other people mentioned?
I saw some people said that their crash came when activating Edge CPT plugin. Is that plugin mandatory for the theme? What does it do?

Thank you for taking interest in our theme. Yes, this plugin is mandatory, but since your PHP version is 5.4+ it will work well. When it comes to resources, here is what we are suggesting to our customers https://edge.ticksy.com/article/10241 but also our support agents could try do import using gzipped xml file and it could be made even with lower values of these resources.

Oh sorry, I had a typo: our PHP version is 5.3.3, not 5.5.3. So, won’t it work?

I have posted couple of tickets at support system but not receive any reply, and what i receive was not solved my problem till date…. I am really pissed off with all this. And the most terrible thing happened today when get the woocommerce plugin update and design of my shop is looks totally crap. Theme is not anymore compatible with latest version of woocommerce 3.0 version. I had already finished my project with more then 80% and now this disaster and no one is helping ….what should I do now ????

When it comes to compatibility for WooCommerce, please do not update it before we release new theme update with compatibility for latest included plugins. In 3.0 version WooCommerce made big changes, so please downgrade it to 2.6.14 in the meanwhile, before we release new update.

Yes, unfortunately, RTL is not supported. Anyhow all shortcodes without dynamic shortcodes should be working well on RTL. So, for our dynamic shortcodes you’ll need to add css and js compatibility.

I am finding that on a portfolio item, with a browser window 768 top 784 px wide, the right column runs out of the browser window so some type can be hidden.
When I uncheck .edgtf-two-columns-66-33 .edgtf-column2 .edgtf-column-inner { padding: 0 0 0 20px; } in the inspector it looks right.

I can’t do it with the row directly and I’m not sure whether it’s part of the header, the title or the revolution slider. I don’t want a slider or carousel there just a static image, but i want it to be full screen, max width, just like in the link I posted above.

The image on which you are referring to is actually a Revolution Slider. The effect is created with the it because it offers best customization options, as well as very intuitive controls, which is the reason why we think that is best solution for you also.

Thanks. I’m getting closer! Now is there a way to set the background of the edge-tf-menu-area to be transparent in the settings somewhere or do I need to override it with custom CSS ?

You just need to go to Edge Options/Header and there set the Header background color to any, and set the background transparency to 0 if you want the transparent header to by applied on all of the pages. You can do this only on some individual pages by making the same settings under the page backend, under the Edge Header section.

For some reason that wasn’t working but I added custom CSS to fix the problem for now so should be ok.
Another thing I was wondering, is in the call to action example, all the calls to action rows are full width, but I’m only able to get it to look like a boxed structure with borders. I changed the row to full width as well as copying the settings for the call to action from the demo page but it’s still not expanding to the full width of the page.
I think there is a setting that makes the page full width by default. How do I set that ?

To make your logos retina ready, upload logo images that are twice as high as the header. For example, a header of 90 pixels in height would require a logo image that’s 180 pixels high. This principle applies to all logos you upload. We have implemented a JavaScript function which reduces your logo image size to half its size and makes your logo retina ready. Please upload your logo image 2x larger than what you want to actually display on your site. Please note that your logo image can’t be larger than the header section height.
The background of the header, and the color of the menu items you can change inside the Edge Options/Header unless you have set the predefined light or dark header skin.

As far as we can see from the screenshot that you have sent us, the grey area is actually a title area. Just go to page backend, and disable the title under the Edge Title section. The issue that you are having is probably caused by your server low resource settings. With our theme we recommend the following ones
max_execution_time = 300 memory_limit = 128M upload_max_filesize = 128M post_max_size = 256M
Could you please try to increase these values or ask your hosting service to do it for you.

We have bought the extended licence for Visual Composer so that you can use it for free without buying the licence, and we can’t give you the license code because of policy and terms of Theme Forest. This only means that you can not update the VisualComposer automatically, but you need to wait for the update which will be included in latest theme updates, as soon as the new version of Visual Composer becomes available.
