This theme is a lot…but I love the flexibility. I’m a newbie to wordpress but I’m still trying to find out if there is a way to make post appear on the home page and under the page option. For example..if I have a political post, when its new I want it to appear on the home screen but when they click the page ‘politics’ (im using the 7 news theme) I want them to see all the political posts.
Do I do that with just tags or is there something more?

Hi, ews just asked for an update a while ago? If I reinstall the theme or download the actual version of The7 it still says, that Visual Composer needs an update? Did you update this plugin in the theme?

Yes. Please register the theme via The7 > Dashboard and update plugins via The7 > Plugins.
If you’re on v.2 of theme, please download full theme package and update the theme manually from the “Old Theme” folder. Then navigate to Plugins > The7 Plugins interface and update them.
Hello i have a very strange problem :
I have two licences for your theme (and certainly more in the next week). All with the same plugin so the problem isn’t there. And on the same web provider.
But with one of them i can’t install paybox plugin : Paybox WooCommerce Payment Gateway
When i try the site stop working and i have to delete the plugin from my FTP.
Please can you do something cause my client want paybox plugin and it is the only plugin working.

So safari breaks your website menu header

Your screenshot is from Windows version of “Safari”. It has as much in common with the real thing as big mac with a steak 
It features desperately outdated core and nobody uses it.
All our front end devs are on Macs with Safari as primary browser. Naturally theme works great here.
So if anyone is using the windows safari then your theme will not display properly is that what your implying?

I’m implying that we do not optimize theme for outdated and/or exotic browsers.
Problem with Safari for Windows is that it’s so old that CSS flexbox (supported by all modern browsers) does not work there.
just bought the template and want to install the main demo as I do not want to recreate the pages manually. And also like the color scheme. But your auto import forces the woocommerce install. Do not want woocommerce. Why not have a checkbox like other templates? Or tell me how to install the main demo without the woocommerce or which template looks the main demo and how can i get the prebuilt pages of the main demo? I can install woocommere and then remove it. but do not want to add the additional tables if I do not need them.
went ahead and installed woocommerce to get the main demo, but cannot import main demo…was able to import all the other pieces but the entire content (first check box). This is on a dedicated server with 16gb ram and plenty of resources. wp memory is at 256mb. frustrating that you buy a theme with so many users and i would think it was all tested but you do not recommend the main demo, then why have it? can you not split the xml? So how do I get the content?

There’s no dedicated testing data, however The7 plays well with plugins. My best guess is they will work, but may require minor CSS customization to perfectly match the theme styling.
Hi, what sort of support do you have for video backgrounds and video posts? I see you have photo/video gallery but there are no videos there. I want to make a site based on videography so would like to know how easy it is to integrate videos on the front page etc as an element of the site, not just an inserted YouTube video etc. Thank you.

All The7 video-capabilities are based on video hosts. If you want to “self-host” everything – The7 is not the best choice.

I know this has been asked before but I’m hoping you’ve addressed it since. It would be very good to have the top bar visible on mobile. Yes, I realize you can move stuff to the header and menu area but it’s cramped and I would like a nice tip bar stripe to be visible in mobile for banners, phone numbers, “Contact Us” etc on a mobile device.

I absolutely agree that space is at a premium, but I think you should leave it to the designer to decide if he/she wants to take some more space at the very top. For me it’s be a no brainer because the header area gets congested fast and an inverse stripe with a phone number or “Contact Us Today” really stands out and some customers love it. Anyway, that’s my vote.
On another note, is it possible to have the mobile header stay put when you scroll down like the floating header in desktop mode?

Yes. Theme Options > Top Bar & Header > Mobile Header, option is called “Floating mobile navigation”. Make sure that you have “Second header switch point (phone)” set to about 420.

When i bought The7 theme there was written that some plugin were included in the final price. One of them is Visual Composer, but I have some problem to activate it cause they told me that I don’t have license to do that…. May I have some explanation?

You can use all plugins that comes bundled with The7 theme without entering purchase codes or registering them.
However if you want a bit faster plugins updates, some locked features, exclusive content, dedicated support or just want to support their authors – you are more then welcome to purchase dedicated licenses.
