Hi,
Having a problem with the swedish language. When I choose swedish in the dropdown I receive this error message:
Notice: Error: Could not load language module/shoppica! in /www/webvol6/9l/g92xoij93whkb3l/kolsyrevapen.se/public_html/system/library/language.php on line 26
I have also noticed this error in the adminarea when I try to open some of the modules, else it work´s fine in that area.
I´m running a fresh install of OC 1 .5.1.3

1) At the moment you need to modify the css for a RTL language website. We are working hard on adding this as a feature for the upcoming Shoppica 2.0 version. Unfortunately, it will be ready January at the earliest.
2) You can use 2 columns layout, however the intro slider (the one from the demo home page) will be always full size, over the columns.

We can help you make a modification to serve two css files for LTR and RTL language, based on the language ID.
If you don’t want to wait until January/February you can buy the theme now and update later. It is up to you.

Great and beautiful theme! One question…. If i rename the shoppica folder (catalog/view/theme/shoppica), will it break the site ?
I have renamed other template folders without site breaking. If it breaks, do you have any support or possible input on which fiiles to correct ?
Why renaming? : Prevent froom sneaky customers to see the theme name in the code.
I will use latest opencart version 1.5.1.3 template version.

It is currently not possible to rename the shoppica folder due to some technical limitations. We are working hard on Shoppica 2.0 (expected release – January/February 2012) which will overcome this problem.

Hi there, I like your theme, just a couple of questions before I buy it. I’ve used prestashop, shopify and some magento, so this would be the first time to open cart for me. Is it possible to set the theme shoppica and opencart to have a multi language shop (english, german, french and italian)? Does the theme have an italian translation for the backend? Also, it is possible to sell digital goods (images)? Is it possible to change the background to plain white? Is it complicated with opencart to set the cart to use an https protocol while buying? If I need some customization are you available to do it, at what rate?

Hi,
1) OpenCart is multi language ready, so you can put as many languages as you want for both front and back end.
2) Shoppica is fully localized, but it comes only with English translation only. However, you will be able to translate the additional text in no more than a hour.
3) Generally, OpenCart offers digital goods functionality. We will suggest, however, that you first download and test it whether this software fully suits your needs.
4) You can control the store background from the theme control panel. It is possible to upload a custom photo, or just use a color from the color picker.
5) By default OpenCart supports secure checkout. The options is available from the admin panel.

It is no problem to buy Shoppica now and update later. Everything depends on if you are about the further modify the theme, or just use it like it is.
With the newer version, there will be html and css changes to meed the new features and for easier theme customization. So, if you plan to do some major modifications, it will more time consuming for you to upgrade. If you don’t plan to change anything big, you can take Shoppica now

I purchased this and installed opencart 1.5.1.3 and then installed shoppica. After I changed the template and saved I received the following after going to the storefront. The shoppica manual stats to install the shoppica theme, however I do not see an option to install the theme, only to save it.

Hello my friends.
I have a tiny problem with Shoppica & Opencart.
I use Shoppica 1.0.9 & Opencart 1.5.1.2.
The problem is that i cannot activate de side column, neither to left or right. I tryed to set the side column to left and after to right, but nothing, no side column
I know how to work with Shoppica & OC, i use this combination sincer 8 months ago, but this simply kills me.
Does anyone knows sth about this?

Hi, I´m working on a multi-storea dn starting to use shoppica theme. Is it posibble to use the same shopppica theme but with different colorschemes ? I want both stores to have the same look but in different color. If that is not possible, is there any way to arrange it?

I am very interested in the Shoppica theme due to the statement: “banner for every language”.
Does this mean a slideshow can change images (since banners are connected with it) when user change the language clicking a language flag? If it is so this is definitely the theme for me.

You have understood right. You can upload different pictures for the different languages for both the intro slideshow and the Shoppica banners module.

Can I change the currency and language selection drop down menu so all of them show side by side instead (as in default OC)? It seems some visitors do not notice that one can change language and currency when it’s a drop down menu.
It says “Layout: Fixed” does this mean I can not exclude/hide some parts like ‘Welcome’, ‘Latest’, ‘Carousel’, etc?

I posted on the forum as you suggested, about changing the language and currencies from drop down menu to images side by side but am not getting any answers. If this is not possible I’d like to know please. And it would have been even better to know it before I bought the theme.

OpenCart is multilingual by default, so you can add a language from the website administration.
Shoppica adds some custom text, but it provides a language files, for easier localization. All custom modules (intro slideshow, Shoppica banners) has the option to put different images for the different languages, so you will have no issue here as well.
