The latest update seems to have messed up spacing with a fixed header so much that page titles are mostly blocked by the fixed header and the admin bar covers part of the site logo. div id=”main” class=”site-main” but for the life of me could not add additional height. The problem was worse in Firefox and Opera than Chrome.

I tried removing my custom child style sheet and header and the problem persists (made sure to clear all my caching too), only disabling fixed header under Customize fixed it. I also tried adding margin-top and padding-top to:

What might you have done to have effected the fixed header height? Also I noticed that the Admin bar at the top overlapped my site logo a little, it’s as if the entire header area is no longer seen as a fixed height and everything above and below lays down as if its not there.

I tried manually removing the old jobify theme folder and unzipping new one, problems still persists. In my jobify-classic folder I have custom style sheet with minor additions, as well as a supplemental functions.php, and a replacement header.php but even removing these files the problems persist. Using a style sheet combiner / cacher I can actually get the new theme working until I refresh the cache and it starts to use the new css files. Note Ive also tried disabling my css combiner/cacher and the problem persists. So it really appears to be an issue with the new CSS that is breaking the mobile menu from opening and messing with the fixed header spacing.

Hey, please email me your site URL so I can take a look :)

Email: adam@astoundify.com

Thanks!

Latest update appears to have fixed the issues I described!

Hi Fernando,

I did some digging and I really like this resume submit form… how do I set this up on my site? I purchased the theme.

https://jobify-demos.astoundify.com/extended/submit-your-resume/

Thank you, Emiko

I submitted a ticket. Ignore if you go to the ticket :)

Who do I contact if I accidentally purchased this theme twice?

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well.

You can follow described here to go through the proper channels on resolving this.

Hope this helps!

Hello, I have the same error. Please fix. My site is down. After updating the theme. Error: wp-content/themes/jobify/inc/listing/class-listing.php on line 136.

Hello there!

Hope you are doing well today!

Looks like you did not delete all your old theme files first before uploading the new ones. This can usually happen if you are dragging the files through the FTP client.

Make sure you delete all theme files first before updating and it should resolve your issue. Simply dragging in the new file will remove some files and leave some older files behind causing the issue.

Also, it is always good to make sure all your plugins are up to date!

Cheers! Fernando

Hi! Do you have PHP 5.2 installed? If you can, ask your web host to upgrade you to the latest version of PHP, you won’t get this error any longer if you ask your web host to upgrade your site. If you can’t upgrade PHP you can wait till tomorrow as we will provide a fix for this error.

Thanks. Adam

Hello, you have an error for May 26 2017. I have an error please fix. My site is destroyed. After installing the theme. Error: wp-content/themes/jobify/inc/listing/class-listing.php on line 136. Please fix your update. thanks!

Hello, thanks for the reply. But this not the first time that I updated my website and I know what I am doing. All plugins are up to date and I deleted the theme on the Cpanel dashboard and clear the cache. I still have this error “wp-content/themes/jobify/inc/listing/class-listing.php on line 136”. What I did is I reverted to my old theme while waiting for you to fix this bug. I hope the developers could check this error.

the username: isobudgets got the same errors as mine. Is this a coincidence? Or this is a known bug?

Hello, how can I include pictures to the job list.

Hey there!

Hope you are doing well today!

I saw your support ticket and replied back. You can add the Logo image by default when it is submitted on the submission form. That would be the only image that will display on the Job list!

If you have further questions, let me know through support!

Kind regards,

Fernando

Hello, how can I set up the “related jobs” list at the bottom as seen on https://jobify-demos.astoundify.com/classic/job/front-end-developer-digital-arts/? I created job posts exactly as this Art Director example job in the theme and couldn’t find any option.

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well today!

They are automatically added when the two job posts are linked to the same Category. If there is a Match between the two this area will be displayed automatically.

Kind regards,

Fernando

Hi there,

Your theme looks great and I am interested in purchasing it for my job board.

Before that, can you please help me understand what are the advantages of buying a theme like Jobify that has the ability to integrate with many job board plugins vs. a theme that has already functionality built in? Is it more open to customizations, more comprehensive etc?

2nd question – You have in the extended demo a ‘watch video’option on job page, can that be included in Company profile page as well?

3rd question – Do you have a demo site with premium plugins installed where I could see the options in wordpress? (so the extended version functionality)

Many thanks

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well and thanks for your questions!

Question: Before that, can you please help me understand what are the advantages of buying a theme like Jobify that has the ability to integrate with many job board plugins vs. a theme that has already functionality built in? Is it more open to customizations, more comprehensive etc?

Answer: A WordPress theme like Jobify provides all of the front end styling of your WordPress site. That is essentially what a WordPress theme is supposed to do. In doing so themes meet the WordPress coding standards, which is what Jobify aims to do.

Other themes that have built in functionality are known as bloated themes. These themes include functionality that is better left to be handled by plugins. This does not meet Coding standards. Although it seems convenient and cost effective, there are many downs to having a theme like this. There are many articles which you can find online on the upside and downsides of these sort of themes.

Question: 2nd question – You have in the extended demo a ‘watch video’option on job page, can that be included in Company profile page as well?

Answer: Unfortunately, videos can only be uploaded on the jobs page only and not on the Company profile page.

Question: 3rd question – Do you have a demo site with premium plugins installed where I could see the options in wordpress? (so the extended version functionality)

Answer:You can check out our front-end of the Extended demo here. You can also test the theme with some premium plugins by signing up to our hosting platforms 7-day free trial here.

Hope this helps!

If you have any questions or if I can be of any further help, please let me know!

Kind regards,

Fernando

How can I do indeed job backfills? Indeed importer plugin supports categories, it seems theres no integration offered by the jobify?

It seems that theres no way to do this? Without paying for plugins?

Also with the WP indeed integration its not working. When you search it says no jobs found.

Hi there!

For integrating Indeed Jobs to Jobify, you will need the Indeed Integration add-on as it is supported by Jobify. Also look at the documentation to have it set up: https://wpjobmanager.com/document/indeed-integration/

If you are still having issues, we can have a look over at our support! Also, the plugin developers can also help by providing insight on their plugins features.

Kind Regards,

Fernando

Your theme looks like a good match at first glance for my project requirements but couldn’t find if it supports the following functionality with or without adding a plugin (and which). I am sorry this is a long list but surely most are yes/no questions and maybe a plugin recommendation. Thank you in advance:

1- I need all posted jobs to be viewed only by registered members (not open to the public). Is this accomplished with Restrict Content Pro

2- I need to charge a monthly subscription fee to job seekers, but not to employer. Could this be managed/set up through the restrict pro + the WC subscription plugin?

3- We do NOT want employers (who also need to be registered to enter site) to see job postings. Will Restrict Content Pro accomplish this?

4- Can job applicants send email to employers directly via the job post info?

5- We would like for an Admin to approve/deny employers job posting before they post to the board? Does this exist already or can functionality be easily added with a plugin?

6- Can employers determine start and end date of their listings and then edit or manage their listings on their own, such as if they want to cancel them or if job was filled?

7- Can only “parts” of the job listing be made public, such as title and 1-2 sentences of recent listings? But then one must register for a paid recurring subscription to view and or apply? Kind of like on guru dot com site.

8- Can members easily cancel their membership?

9- My client’s current job board is a joomla solution that we want to move to WP. Will WP All Import + Jobify accept the import of all listing as well as member info? Is it possible to transfer members (job seekers and employers)? We have over 10K combined? Can membership login info remain the same?

10- Is there an “exit” interview form or function that can be activated when someone cancels their membership? Like a feedback survey? Or a survey to send to an employer that hasn’t been active for a certain period of time?

11- Can videos be added to the site? AND, could video testimonials be added by either member (employer and job seeker)?

12- Does theme provide tracking such as Ability to track # of jobs Job Seekers has applied for, how long they’ve been a member, how many jobs they’ve been hired for and the same for Employers?

13- In addition, is there an option for “ADMIN” to notate accounts, such as reason for rejection of employer posts or issues and such and keep this private to admin view only?

14- Can also employers notate applicant’s accounts privately?

15- Can a job be SAVED (for later)by job seeker instead of only SUBMITTED?

16- Is there a built in rating system?

17- When joining membership, will there be an option to subscribe to newsletter or is that dependent on the plugin?

Thank you SO much for your consideration to answering my questions above and providing guidance. We hope to be able to include these in a WordPress solution with minimal customization if possible. We are open to purchasing the necessary plugins to accomplish these results, and thank you!

Hello there!

Hope you are doing well today and thanks for your questions today! I will do my best to answer them and should you need further clarification, feel free to let me know! :)

Question: 1- I need all posted jobs to be viewed only by registered members (not open to the public). Is this accomplished with Restrict Content Pro

Answer: At this time there is no built-in solution for completely hiding jobs. Although you can Restrict Widget Output Based on Subscription LevelRestrict Widget Output Based on Subscription Level .

Question: 2- I need to charge a monthly subscription fee to job seekers, but not to the employer. Could this be managed/set up through the restrict pro + the WC subscription plugin?

Answer: If you wish for a candidate to submit their resumes, you will need the Resume Manager plugin. As for subscriptions, it can be done using the Restrict Content Pro feature on its own also restricting access to what a user can see.

Another alternative is using the Paid Listings plugin and WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin to charge only when submitting a Resume to your website.

Question: 3- We do NOT want employers (who also need to be registered to enter site) to see job postings. Will Restrict Content Pro accomplish this?

Answer: In this case, they will need to use Restrict Content Pro in order to restrict acces.

Question: 4- Can job applicants send email to employers directly via the job post info?

Answer: Job Applicants can email them to apply for the job within the job page.

Question: 5- We would like for an Admin to approve/deny employers job posting before they post to the board? Does this exist already or can functionality be easily added with a plugin?

Answer: Admins by default can moderate job posts. Allowing them to delete posts or edit them before they appear at the front-end.

Question: 6- Can employers determine start and end date of their listings and then edit or manage their listings on their own, such as if they want to cancel them or if job was filled?

Answer: By default, it is set by the admin within the WP Job Manager settings. If you use Listing Packages, it is determined by the packages.

Question: 7- Can only “parts” of the job listing be made public, such as title and 1-2 sentences of recent listings? But then one must register for a paid recurring subscription to view and or apply? Kind of like on guru dot com site.

Answer: It is only based on the settings

Question: 8- Can members easily cancel their membership?

Answer: Yes they will be able to.

Question: 9- My client’s current job board is a joomla solution that we want to move to WP. Will WP All Import + Jobify accept the import of all listing as well as member info? Is it possible to transfer members (job seekers and employers)? We have over 10K combined? Can membership login info remain the same?

Answer: Through WP All Import + Jobify you can upload jobs and resumes using the appropriate supported files.

As for user information, you ca upload users through WordPress import feature.

Question: 10- Is there an “exit” interview form or function that can be activated when someone cancels their membership? Like a feedback survey? Or a survey to send to an employer that hasn’t been active for a certain period of time?

Answer: There is no feature like this provided by Jobify.

Question: 11- Can videos be added to the site? AND, could video testimonials be added by either member (employer and job seeker)?

Answer: There is a video field where users can add a video through a URL link. This will be displayed on a job or candidates page.

Question: 12- Does theme provide tracking such as Ability to track # of jobs Job Seekers has applied for, how long they’ve been a member, how many jobs they’ve been hired for and the same for Employers?

Answer: There is a Stats add-on to see how many times a job is viewed or how many times an application is sent. Unfortunately, there is no feature for tracking the number of times an individual candidate has applied for jobs, membership duration, or a number of times they have been hired.

Question: 13- In addition, is there an option for “ADMIN” to notate accounts, such as the reason for rejection of employer posts or issues and such and keep this private to admin view only?

Answer: You can manage users through WordPress but there is no note option like you are looking for.

Question: 14- Can also employers notate applicant’s accounts privately?

Answer: It can if the candidate applies for a job using the Applications add-on.

Question: 15- Can a job be SAVED (for later)by job seeker instead of only SUBMITTED?

Answer: Jobs are not saved as drafts.

Question: 16- Is there a built in rating system?

Answer: No there is not a rating system.

Question: 17- When joining membership, will there be an option to subscribe to newsletter or is that dependent on the plugin?

Answer: When using Restrict Content Pro you can integrate mailchip through an add-on.

I would also contact the plugin developers for more information on the plugins features. You can get better insight from the developers of the Restrict Content Pro as they know their plugin better than we do. Same goes for other add-ons.

Hope this helps!

If you have any questions or if I can be of any further help, please let me know!

Fernando

Hi guys,

We have recently purchased Jobify theme and we are currently using a different theme (Job Career by ChimpStudio) and the website is live. We will need to transfer the information from our website to the new theme (Jobify) before we activate it. Is it possible to: 1) Transfer jobs and content from our old theme to Jobify by paying an installation service? 2) Would the installation service make the theme look as per demo?

If yes to both Qs, what provider would you recommend?

Kind regards, Claud

Hello Claud,

Thanks for reaching out!

Question: 1) Transfer jobs and content from our old theme to Jobify by paying an installation service?

Answer: If the theme uses WP Job Manager you can easily just change your theme without any issues of transferring your website content. If you will need to add your websites job post content you will need to use WP All Import.

Unfortunately, we do not offer installation/transfer services. We can help answer your technical questions through support though and guide you.

Question: 2) Would the installation service make the theme look as per demo?

Answer: Our Getting Started guide will help you set up your website like our demo.

If you need further assistance or have any further technical questions regarding Jobify, please contact us through our support page! We will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.

Cheers! Fernando

Hi there, is the payment gateway from Mollie working on this template? I need this for Ideal payments

Hi there!

Thanks for your question.

The Mollie Payment Gateway can be used with Jobify as it is supported by WooCommerce. See here.

If you have any questions or if I can be of any further help, please let me know!

Hello,

Would Jobify work with the CSS Hero Plugin?

If not, could you recommend a plugin that makes customization easier (where users don’t have to use the coding) that works with Jobify?

Thank you!

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well today and thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, Jobify has very limited support for Visual editor plugins. This would include a plugin like CSS Hero.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you have any questions or if I can be of any further help, please let me know!

Kind regards,

Fernando

Hi JOBIFY,

would like to ask how much would the jobify template + core bundle + 12 months support cost? Thank you so much!

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well today and thanks for reaching out!

The cost should be $219.38 for everything.

Hope this helps!

Hi guys. Awesome theme and sorry to message you here on this comment thread. I purchased your theme last week and sent you a support question, but I haven’t heard back and I don’t think it is showing that I purchased the theme in your support ticketing system despite the fact that I logged in using the Evato login on the site. Can you please help?

Thanks!

Hi there!

We do apologize for the delay as it was a long weekend holiday over where we are located. I have reached out to you. If you have any further questions please let me know!

Hi Nisha,

Sorry for any delay.

I do see Spencer replied back to your tickets and he will follow up with any further questions you may have.

Hey guys,

The extended version of the “Jobify” theme looks good to me so far. I visited your website (astoundify.com) as well and found that you are giving out two options: either to buy the Jobify theme straight away or get the 19$ hosting where you are bundling the theme + plugins along with the hosting.

I am trying to make a decision whether to go for the 19$ hosting option or not. In this context, there are a couple of very specific ‘pre-sale’ questions for you:

First, if I choose to go for the hosting plan at https://astoundify.com instead of buying the theme outright, where will I find theme support for the 1st six months? Do I have any option at all to buy theme support separately for the first six months in that case? What will happen to theme support even after the 1st six months gets over in those circumstances?

Second, I’ve also noticed (after careful scrutiny) that if I were to go for the hosting option, there seems no guarantee that the latest version of the theme will always come my way. There was no mention of theme updates in the hosting at all. Could you clarify on this please. The aim is to find a way to receive “Regular Feature Enhancements” if I choose the hosting option.

Third, does the “Statistics for WP Job Manager” plugin (https://astoundify.com/products/wp-job-manager-stats/) and “Extended Location for WP Job Manager” plugin (https://astoundify.com/products/wp-job-manager-extended-location/) come bundled with the hosting if one chooses the Jobify Extended theme? And even if doesn’t, could you clear the air if these two plugins would work on the Extended theme version of Jobify even if I buy them separately?

Fourth, if one creates a few more taxonomies (for example: job shifts, salary range) using the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin, will it be possible to incorporate those into the Main Job Search box? Is there a tutorial/documentation where you can point me to which illustrates this clearly?

Fifth, is it possible to nominate/link an icon or a picture from the media library to each new ‘job category’ that one creates?

Sixth, is it possible to offer our job listing clients the option to fetch their Twitter profile picture (recommended; from the twitter handle) or their profile picture in their Facebook Page (from their Facebook ID) instead of the Gravatar or those we usually see in Wordpress? Is there a specific plugin to get this done with a plugin that works with the Jobify extended theme for hosting clients?

Finally, does FacetWP work on the Extended theme version of Jobify if one chooses the hosting plan?

These pre-sales questions seems important to me to make an informed choice whether to buy the theme outright or go for your hosting plan. Apparently, it seems like those who are ‘buying’ the theme outright are perhaps finding themselves in a much less complicated situation I suppose given that hosting clients cannot even generate a support ticket technically because there seems to be no corresponding product for which the ticket can be issued.

The aim of the first three questions (above) are not to get freebies but have some certainty how to solve those issues and at what price to pay for theme support, being mindful of the fact that you do not offer customisation perhaps.

Let us all hear from you publicly what you have to say. Thanks.

Kind regards, Susan

Hello Susan,

Hope you are doing well today and thanks for your questions!

1)Our hosting for $19 includes theme support at any time while you remain with our hosting plan. There is no need to purchase support separately as it is included.

2)Theme updates are included with our hosting option.

3)These two plugins are included with our hosting bundle. These and other plugins are included free with the theme.

4)This would require custom modifications to add these field and create search filters for them. You can read the following article on how to do so: https://wpjobmanager.com/document/tutorial-adding-a-salary-field-for-jobs/

5)There is no built-in feature available for this.

6)You will need to use the WooCommerce Social Login plugin to allow users to register/login with their social profiles. Displaying their profile images instead of the gravatar image.

7)Facet WP is not compatible with Jobify at this time.

Hope this answers your questions!

If you have any questions or if I can be of any further help, please let me know!

Kind regards,

Fernando

Hi guys, could you please let us know if you privately offer paid customization services? And if so, how does it work?

I look forward to working with you.

Many thanks

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to offer custom work right now or provide consulting on how to customize your theme. However, we are partnered with and highly recommend WP Curve, Envato Studio or Codeable if you need help customizing your website.

Kind Regards,

Fernando

Thanks Fernando, we will be in touch with your partners. Best, Claudiu

Hi guys,

We are currently using a different theme and the website is live. We will need to transfer the information from our existing theme to Jobify before we activate it. How does this service work? Do you also transfer all the information over or you just install the theme and we do the rest?

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well.

Jobify is Powered by the WP Job Manager plugin. If you have the plugin, along with your job posts created you can install the theme without having to import your jobs over.

In case you do not have WP Job Manager you will need to use WP All import to import over your jobs. See here for more information: How to import Jobs using WP All Import?

If you need further assistance or have any further technical questions regarding Jobify, please contact us through our support page! We will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.

Kind regards,

Fernando

Hi, does this theme have the ability to import XML feeds of jobs to the website? Also, does it have the ability to export and XML feed of all the single job postings on the website?

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well today.

The theme does not have any import or export feature. When it comes to importing using an XML or CSV file you can use the WP All Imports plugin. See here: How to import Jobs using WP All Import?

As for exporting you can use the WP All Export plugin or the default exporter provided by WordPress.

Hope this answers your question.

If you have any questions or if I can be of any further help, please let me know!

Kind regards,

Fernando

Thanks so much Fernando for your response. I will have to look into the WP All Export plugin a little bit more. What we will likely want to be able to do is to export all of the single job postings employers post on our website to be able to send them to other job boards to drive traffic to them to make sure our customers are satisfied with what they are paying for. So this will be an import feature for any theme we purchase to be able to integrate with.
