Hello, I purchased the theme and installed. The website looks great. A question is that the theme cost include the cost for visual composer. Anything I need to do after theme setup and website done? I wonder if any activation is needed so that the plug-in will not go expired some day. Thx.

No, you don’t need to do anything else. If the Visual Composer will be updated by the author in the future we’ll include new version with next theme release.

Hi we’re interested in purchasing this theme but have some pre-sale questions. 1) Can we specify a maximum number of posts to appear under Latest News on the homepage? 2) Can we specify a time after which old posts will be automatically archived and stop displaying? 3) Are contact form submissions stored in a table for later retrieval or just sent via email? 4) Can the Contact form allow a file upload field? 5) Will the Contact Form be changed to include a CAPTCHA field to reduce spam submissions?

All WooCommerce files are in the newest version. Please make sure that you’re using the newest WooCommerce version which is 3.0.6 and that you’ve updated all MediCenter files under wp-content/themes/medicenter/woocommerce/ directory.

OK so yesterday I thought I would upgrade my site and checked the changelog as always for 01.03.2017 – v9.0 and nothing in there stands out to say WATCH OUT THIS IS A BIG UPGRADE THAT WILL BREAK YOUR SITE! Why not put a warning on there? I spent ALL DAY trying to fix it and have a few more hours to do today as well…. why change list style class names from simple_list to simple-list? What benefit does that have expect to break all existing sites! At least simple things like that could have been left backward compatible surely? I finally found the upgrade steps in your forum BUT WHY NOT link to that directly form a warning message on the TF changelog? I use Enfold on many sites and every time i click update it just works beautifully…. Yes its good to improve a theme BUT you need to remember you have 8000+ people already using it who cant upgrade without breaking their site or spending 1day+ fixing it. Thanks.
We’re providing step by step instruction when you’re updating from older versions. It’s available in documentation and also on our forum here: http://support.quanticalabs.com/forum/topic/6423/faq-frequently-asked-questions#question_65 We were trying to keep as much compatibility with previous version as possible, unfortunately as this was big update it was impossible to keep full compatibility. Hi, Thanks for the reply. When I have 100+ websites to manage on a monthly basis I don’t have time to go reading small print in your forum or documentation. MOST PEOPLE will look at the plugin update warning in wordpress or for a theme go and check the changelog on the themeforesst page….. for example woocommerce has a big update out and it clearly shows up in bold orange text in Wordpress saying beware backup this is a BIG update. If you had put a warning like that on your themeforest page where youve clearly had time to list out all the new features/improvements it would have been VERY easy for you to add a big bold line at the top warning that this is a BIG update that WILL break your site….. backup and only run this on a test site where you have a few hours to fix it! Why have accordions stopped working as well? Ill keep plugging away at trying to get this site looking like it did before…
I’ve just checked your FAQs and upgrade instructions. A good start but they do not say anything about having to go through your entire site and search and replace for every list and totally change the code, rebuild all accordions. And now I’m having to go through my child theme stylesheet and look for any class that uses an underscore like home_box_container or h3.box_header. and change them to use hyphens but Ill have to manually check every single one incase it still using an _ underscore. So I think you still need to make people aware of the BIG TASKS it is to upgrade a REAL website not just your demo.

OK found a bug with your theme on latest woocommerce…. If you set a product to be sold individually then the single product page should NOT show the QTY field. You need to fix your themes version of the quantity-input.php file as it needs an extra check to see if that sold individually is set. I have copied the newest version to my child theme from woocommerce plugins folder and merged in your + – buttons and all working now. While you are at it run the wommcommerce status please as a few other of your theme override files are also outdated, thanks

Dears, If I want to make a post in your support forum that’s mean I need to renew the support license and pay an extra money but actually I don’t support service since the problem is a compatibility problem between your theme and the WPML plugin but if extending the support license will guarantee for me solving this problem then I’ll do it.

Sorry for the question – my support is expired and I can not write at forum, but I’ve just renew the theme to 9.1…
You know – in a word, they are hmm… – if I would say not compatible – that means nothing. I had to rebuild about 20 pages, all bullets, markups, icons… That is very hard and time-cost… + somewhere in the code 9.1 I found old classes some_something and that did not work because in css some-something… ufff… 2 days spent – but now all looks good) And you know – I can not say that new social icons or contacts widget looks better… I returned back much from 8.3. And in 8.3 I had the possibility to look at icons inside page, now – I need to open html file to look – what does name of icon mean in real… Some things were better in 8.3…

On the forum and in the documentation you will find guide of how to update from older version to 9 and above. The process is not complicated: http://support.quanticalabs.com/forum/topic/6423/faq-frequently-asked-questions#question_65 Anyway yes, there was many changes and theme is not fully compatible with previous version. We’re not supporting the old slider anymore, anyway if you would like to restore the configuration tab, please in theme-options.php file uncomment all parts of the code with slider keyword – should be easy to find.

If you will find a plugin which will make this for you then yes. Otherwise you’ll need to hire a developer, who will add such a functionality for you. Such a modifications are out of the scope of included theme support.
