Hello:
I´m working with local server (Xampp for mac). I´m not able to upload through wp plugins, because he ask me for hosting name, FTP Username and password. However I don´t have it because I´m working in local. I´m installing the plugins directly in the the FTP. I try to reach for downloads Revolution slider but I don´t find it, or find some with extra cost. How can I upload this plugin ?

Hi, I have using Udesign (happily) since 2013 and had it customised/updated by a web developer, however, it appears he’s no longer available. The theme needs updating again, as well as attention to some specific fields. I am able to carry out uncomplicated work but because of the customisation, I can’t safely update the theme without causing a glitch. Does your support provide a similar role or are you able to recommend a suitable web expert who can provide the level of assistance I’ve been receiving through my previous web expert? Thank you, Bill

First Impressions
I’m not ready to leave a review yet. Have just been using the theme one day – after a lot of research, pre-sales questions with several themes, and purchase.
Having used VC before with other templates, compatibility with VC was a big factor. Likewise, use of Revolution Slider was a big plus. I’m familiar with both – they work – and clients like them (especially VC).
Positive Impressions + Installation went smoothly + Documentation is excellent – both for install, config, demo data + Support area (forum) is a little overwhelming – but content seems to be there if you can wade through the questions (lots of history). That’s positive overall
Concerns - Visual Composer seems to be a “bolt on” – there are NO template elements or designs included, at least not with General UDesign Demo data. From support research, my impression is the original code was crudely “retrofitted” into VC vs. “built from the ground up” using VC, elements or custom elements. This seems to be a downside of going with an older theme. In the past, I’ve picked newer themes – which seem to leverage VC with their demo content, so it’s a good “starting point” for ideas. With UDesign, the “demo data” (home page, pages, etc.) are essentially unusable as starting points if you want to use VC. - Essential Grid seems to be a “bolt on” – at least with General UDesign Demo data. Support says that EG may be used with some “advanced elements” but the EG config is empty. So, again – useless starting point.
I will make this work for now. Too early to “bail” – and too early to say “Yay, this was an amazing purchase.” Jury is still out.

Just wanted to clarify something regarding the various demo sites provided for import, if you notice when you over over the demo items: http://idesignmywebsite.com/u-design/u-design-theme-demos/ I’ve specified which demo was built using what technologies, some were build with just core theme features, others with Visual Composer, third with Essential Grid or all of the above, etc.
Having said that I think you’re talking about the main demo, that particular one was NOT built with VC plugin, it’s purely theme core features (shortcodes), etc, and Revolution slider. We decided to keep some demos stay clear of any plugins like VC because of the feedback we got from some users who do not like working with page builders like VC and hence prefer working with WordPress default editor and theme’s core features which in their opinion helps with page loading speeds, etc. So just keep that in mind if you want to try one of the other demo site

I might suggest adding something to the header section of the page that explains this too. I missed that detail on each grid item. But, who knows – still might have missed it there too

the Envato Toolkit has been deprecated by its authors and is no longer a viable option to update the theme. I never said that – yes, there is an entire section on the contact page – I said there is nothing on the “contact form” – how to modify the contact FORM
you can’t, that form is strictly built for the theme’s contact from, if you need a customizable from or want to build a new form with different fields and options then I would suggest you use one a third party form builder plugin like Contact From 7, there are tons of those out there. Hello, thanks for themes, I love it. I am interested in one of the demos you show. I wanted to use that demo and build off of it but I can not find where to import or activate said demo. In the live preview, you can choose 10 or more demos to view. I am interested, not in the default theme, but the yoga theme. How do I active this demo over the default one? Thanks

Hi, first I want to mention it is a great theme… But I hear it’s not completely compatible with Woocommerce 3.x The The “add_to_cart_fragments” hook uses out of date data structures and function is deprecated since version 3.0.5. Replace with woocommerce_add_to_cart_fragments.
Will this be fixed?

WooCommerece has new updates almost daily lately!!
They seem to do a lot of bug fixing in those too.

I bought this theme for $59 three years ago and I got it all together to have a decent site. Then, this most recent upgrade, and the home page is missing stuff. I am sure it is a simple fix, but I don’t want to wade through the documentation all over again for that fix. So, I go to buy 6 month support and it’s $41.00! I paid $59 for the theme – that was fair, but $41 for 6 months of support seems off.
