Dear Support, I know my support for this item has expired, but maybe you have at all a solution for me. If someone klick on a button at the starting-page, i would like to show just one category on the portfolio-overview-page sortpanel, not “all”. How do i drive only one portfolio-category with a URL? Kind regards!

Hey! You can link to specific project category archive pages using /project-type/category-name – however you can’t link to a specific filter within a sortable portfolio at this time

Hello, can you help me out on the bolg post how I change love symbol to thumps-up symbol ?

Hey, add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

body .icon-salient-heart-2:before {
    content: "\f164"!important;
    font-family: FontAwesome;
}

2. In the Salient options panel > header navigation > logo & general styling choose “custom” for the “Header Color Scheme”

ohh god awesome…its working… Thanks a lot #ThemeNector

And can you help me on how will I reduce the size of width of menu ?

And how can I form job search form on careers page ?

Hi guys,

I’ve recently purchased formcraft and i’ve been told that Salient is removing the form elements, inserting it’s own, and then overwriting the CSS. I need a workaround of this asap please if possible?

http://www.privaparties.com/

Thanks

Hey elitemediaagency,

You can disable any Salient form manipulation by turning off the fancy/minimal styling in the Salient options panel > form styling tab

Cheers

When is the next release expected? Would like to see that the white line on the right side of the blog that came with the last release will disappear soon.

And the URL: www.crafty.se

Have you forgot about me?

Hey, sorry for the delay!

Add this into the custom css box:

body[data-ext-responsive="true"] #post-area.masonry.meta_overlaid {
    width: 100%;
    margin: 0px -8px!important;
}

How do you turn on hamburger menu on mobile devices? Can’t seem to figure this out apparently.

Hey FrederikBaastrup, the mobile menu should show a hamburger menu by default – please share your URL in regards so I can see what’s preventing that for you

Cheers

Hey, it seems that you may be missing header markup which should be there by default – could you please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a closer look? https://themenectar.ticksy.com

Hi,

In the site, http://videoworkshops.com.au have a drop-down menu, but have no caret or icon for marking it drop-down menu. I need something like as- http://prntscr.com/fpemwb

Is it possible with the Salient theme, or have you different CSS for making it?

Thanks, Mofi

Hey ThemePackNet ,

In the Salient options panel > general setting tab change your theme skin to “classic”

Cheers

Would it be possible to have the “back-to-top” button reside on the left side of the screen. We added a chat plug-in that is sitting right in the same spot as the arrow.

Hey tmanschap,

Add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

body #to-top {
    right: auto!important;
   left: 20px;
}

Cheers

HI,

I have a question, In the Salient settings there is an option to attach an image to the Blog’s Archive header. What if I do not want to attach an image but give it a background color? This simple option is missing from here and would be great if you could add this in the future update.

For example here http://c92.b39.myftpupload . com/category/miscellaneous/ my text is white and the background is also white, its hard to see the text. I want to have a black bg and white text. Can you please give me a CSS for this? I could not find the right selector for the bg so I can write the css myslef.

Thanks

Hey toolbox101,

The page header shouldn’t set the font color to white when not supplying a BG – if you would like to set a global color for that though add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

.archive.category .page-header-no-bg {
   background-color: #000;
}

Cheers

Thanks, that code worked. However, I did not understand this part. “The page header shouldn’t set the font color to white when not supplying a BG” Are you saying that we should not set the font to white? what if we want a white color on a dark bg? This works for the single blog posts and everything else, but the category page does not show the bg color. It is white text on a white bg.

Hi! I’m trying to have the recent projects mixed with recent blog posts, the recent blog posts are masonry style, 3 in a row, the first one is the recent project which I’d like to have the same style as the other 3 ones, what’s the easiest way to do so? Thanks in advance

To clear things up: http://imgur.com/a/iGg1t

Hey joerigosens,

Currently you couldn’t easily mix blog and portfolio styles though I’ve noted your +1 for the idea on the wishlist

Cheers

Hey !

Very nice theme, AMAZING.

Just one question, do you know if it’s possible to add a slow Zoom on background section (Background Image / Row setting with the VC) ? Like this : https://codepen.io/Chmood/pen/GJdmwX

Many thanks ! Best,

Hey flo1895, thanks a lot! As of now that would only be possible via using the page full screen row option as shown here: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-product/

Hi

We have had a bug in this theme where pages keep reloading blank (looks like ajax issue). We submitted and spoke to Tahir from your support desk who referred us back here as he said the fix is being applied in the next release of the theme and that the release was due to come out 2-3 weeks ago but still no updated release ?

We asked Tahir again where the release was and he told us that this is the best place to ask when we can get our hands on the next release of this theme so that we can finally put an end to this issue ?

Thanks

Hey scottmckechnie,

Could you please let me know the ticket ID so I can review the issue?

Cheers

Hi the ticket number is 1195518

Hey again! I just replied in regards :)

Hi Themenectar

I’m using the “Left Header” style in my site, but the Mobile Breakpoint option does not work. There a way to show the hamburger menu on iPad landscape mode?

Thanks!

Hey sooul360,

The header mobile breakpoint doesn’t take effect on that header style since it doesn’t change width regardless of the screen size so there’s no chance of the menu items running out of room in the same way as a horizontal menu. As of now changing the breakpoint on that specific style would require some custom modding, but i’ve noted the idea for the wishlist :)

Hi..

I need last stable version of theme (Version 8.0.1). please provide.

Hey tron1082, please reach out in regards via the contact form on my author page

Cheers

Hi,

My client purchased the theme and hired me for developing- http://videoworkshops.com.au we need filter gallery item like as our old website http://sonicsight.com.au/portfolio/ (this section http://prntscr.com/fp7x9k)

Is it possible to do with the Salient option? Or if have no option to do with the Salient, can you recommend me a plugin for doing that filtering work which will work good with the Salient theme?

Regards, Mofi

Hey Mofi,

You can achieve this from using a Salient Visual Composer portfolio element – it allows filterable sorting.

http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-frostwave/portfolio-fullwidth-default/

You add items to it via the portfolio post type. Here’s some additional docs on the settings http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/theme-options/portfolio/

Hi,

I want to use the double offsett border title (like in this demo http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-restaurant/#menu ) in the category/archive page title.

Is there some file I can edit edit to modify the category page template? Thanks

Hey allinagency,

It’s created from the Visual Composer column attributes and extra spans added within the column – you can see them all from inspecting the page source or checking the nectar/nectar-vc-addons/vc_templates/vc_column.php file

Cheers

Hi, Would like to confirm whether I can use the theme to build a single page website and the integrate a mailchimp contact form on it?

Thanks.

Hey jerryjieli,

Yes, Salient supports single page designs in a variety of ways and using Mailchimp should work fine – just let me know if you run into any issues :)

Cheers

Great theme, I”m having some problems with my website: http://www.12strings.com.au/test/front/

Could you please help me sort out the following issues:

1. The CSS I used to customise the nectar slider captions no longer works. How do I get it to work again? 2. How do I change the social icons position in the header? 3. The code I used to decrease the margin of the header has made another set of social media icons appear. how do I get rid of them? 4. How do I make my logo appear like it does here:

http://www.12strings.com.au/test/

Thanks in advance.

Hey 12strings,

1. Please list the css you are trying to use

2. They appear by default on the right when using the centered nav, where are you trying to bring them?

3. Change your code from:

header#top nav>ul>li>a {
    padding: 1px 1px 35px 1px!important;
}
to
header#top nav>ul>li:not(#social-in-menu)>a {
    padding: 1px 1px 35px 1px!important;
}

4. Add this:

#ajax-content-wrap + .row {
    z-index: 1000;
}

Cheers

Thanks you so much this worked really well.

1. I would like the social media to be on the right between the logo on scroll and the menu. Is that possible. 2. How do i make the logo disappear on scroll? 3. I Had custom CSS to re-position the slider captions. It was working before but it isn’t now. i have no idea what I have done wrong. Please excuse my coding:

I have a really weird problem. Depending on the subpage that I am, the menu background on mobile (or a narrow window in a computer) shows a different color. How is that possible? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

PS: you can see what I mean on the following screenshots:

https://postimg.org/image/s1dzr8lej/ https://postimg.org/image/loyuheicb/ https://postimg.org/image/o7kji342j/

Hey Estudio_Globaldesign,

I tried visiting each of the four pages (Home, Historia, Ser Un Gregarious & Contacto) and all showed me a black BG for the mobile menu – have you replicated this on more than one device?

Cheers

Thanks a lof for your answer!!! The previous screenshots that I attached were on iOS:

https://postimg.org/image/s1dzr8lej/ https://postimg.org/image/loyuheicb/ https://postimg.org/image/o7kji342j/

These screenshots are on Android:

https://postimg.org/image/tlr6bjc29/

The main problem is that when you visit the HOME and click on MENU, it appears with black background and black text on top, that obviously you cant read ;-)

Again, thanks a lot for your help, with this fantastic template!!

Hey, checking on an iPhone 6s I’m seeing all the pages displaying as a black BG as well – can you please let me know what iPhone you’re using?

Does anybody have a fix for the salient menu dropdowns on mobile? the problem is that if a menu item has a link and a dropdown submenu item then the parent menu item link is no longer accessible, what happens is when you click the main menu item link it shows the drop down instead of going to the linked page

Hey aglet,

If you set the header to not be sticky on mobile, the alternative mobile menu will be used which allows access to parent items http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/theme-options/header-navigation/#logo-general

Cheers

Hi ThemeNectar, I’d really appreciate your help with an annoying problem, that may have a simple solution. I have a “project style full screen zoom slider” inside a Portfolio, in my homepage. I don’t want it to have a Title or link on it. I can leave the title empty, but if I leave the link empty , the whole page doesn’t load. Right now I have replaced the link with a single dot. But it is driven me crazy to see that little flaw on top of the gorgeous slider ;-) Any ideas on how to be able to leave the link empty without affecting the page? Thank you in advance.

Hey Estudio_Globaldesign!

Add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel or the css box within a specific page you’re using the slider:

.nectar_fullscreen_zoom_recent_projects .project-slide .project-info h1, .nectar_fullscreen_zoom_recent_projects .project-slide .project-info a {
  display: none!important;
}

Cheers

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Unfortunately, the code you have supplied, not only hides the “dot” that we have on the link, but also hides the TITLE. And we need it to display the title ;-)

https://s2.postimg.org/oyiqa9pk9/Gregarious_After.png https://s2.postimg.org/4fnu57bmx/GregariousBefore.png

I hope this helps you think of a workaround for this :) Thanks once again. I LOVE Salient! ;-)

Hey, I was under the assumption you wanted to remove both :)

The snippet above can be divided into two, so keep the one you want to remove:

.nectar_fullscreen_zoom_recent_projects .project-slide .project-info h1 {
  display: none!important;
}
.nectar_fullscreen_zoom_recent_projects .project-slide .project-info a {
  display: none!important;
}
