I just tested your intranet demo and found some issues (i was on mobile). The main menu top left does not scroll right. It gets stuck and i have to pinch the screen to get it right. It keeps bugging.

The second, in the inbox, i see From, Subject, then a bit of the next column (i guess its actions?)...

In regards to the menu, i noticed the top right menu has issues as well. It works well when we use the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen. But if we scroll on any other part of the menu, it bugs.

I was hoping on buying this theme for a client who’s looking for an awesome intranet. Hope you guys will look into this and get it fixed before making the purchase.

Otherwise it seems awesome!

Thanks for the bug report. We’ll look into that but at this moment we prioritize issues reported from our customers in the first place. Where we guarantee to fix such issues. Just open up a ticket and we’ll go through them with you.

We also have some update coming about the those mobile issues in the next week. Demo updates might come a bit later on, so I wouldn’t recommend you to wait, simply because we can get those fixed for you through the support.

I have reported an issue to you that, after doing some research, noticed that your existing clients were having the same issue. Commenting that you do not listen to potential buyers who report a bug with your demo site, was… well unprofessional in my opinion. I am looking at a good Intranet theme for my client, but the theme is not all I am looking for. One of my requirements is also a good support that comes with the theme.

I have never updated Woffice since i bought it, I have the WOffice Updater set up. How should i go about this without loosing the customization done?

It depends how you did your customizations, if it’s from a child theme or the settings you won’t lose anything. Just do a backup before just in case :)

A few weeks ago I kept getting the Too many redirects message and was unable to log into my site. My hosting company restored my website several times, losing valuable data, yet they could not solve the issue. Frustrated I ended up transferring my site to a different hosting company but the problem remained until I disabled custom login and maintenance plugins and also all of my buddypress and Bbpress plugins, only then could I access my site.

Today I see you have fixed a redirect loop issue in the latest update.

Was this the likely cause all along?

This error is not related to your hosting, it’s a config issue in your site.

I have Eonet installed on the Woffice intranet, but after all setup, I didnt receive any email from users signing up. I expect to receive email notification that a user just sign-up and awaiting approval or denial. But i didnt receive any. What are my missing?

Pretty hard to say without access to your site. Do you have anything in your error log file? Also, make sure your email settings are Ok and your WordPress does send email (like on new comments). You can open a new ticket about it here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/eonet-manual-user-approve/

Secondly and more disturbingly, the theme is making a call to alka-web.com every 3-4 seconds, why is that? This is suppose to be an internal company intranet and having a theme call home every few seconds is not something we want.

Hello, I tried the demos and I´m quite impressed what this theme has to offer. Good work! However, I do have couple of pre-purchase questions:

1. Each of the demos has some unique functions enabled, f.e. All-in-one demo offers courses, directory, charts which can not be found on the community demo. Buying the Woffice theme would mean having access to all these features, right? I can simply enable those that suit my needs, right?

2. I´m not quite a fan of having different plugins bundled in the theme itself. What does it mean if I buy licences of the same plugins that are already bundled with the theme? Can this cause any issues? And what happens if I want to buy just couple of more addons of the plugin that is bundled with your theme (f.e.: EventON RSVP)

3. I see you´re not using EventON plugin anymore. Will you provide the compatibility with this plugin in the future too?

4. How fast is this theme, were there any tests made? I would be using this theme to build a community with 10k – 20k members. Can I expect any issues in connection with this?

5. I really like the “Have you enjoyed the post?” feature. Is there any way to display a list of posts with most likes?

6. Do you have any reports on how compatible is your theme with following plugins: Sabai Discussion, Sabai Directory, Give, Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin, different Buddypress extensions (BP Profile Search, BP Compliments,etc.

Thanks for your interest in Woffice, we’re glad you like it so far.

1. Yes, exactly. Just to be 100% honest, the Allinone demo uses Learndash for the courses, which is not included with Woffice. The rest is and can be enabled / deactivated as you wish.

2. It means you get automatic updates from the plugin and support from their team as well as some exclusive features. So it’s better for everyone. That won’t cause any issue just make your life easier. I’d just recommend you this article first: https://alkaweb.ticksy.com/article/8855/ when you choose your calendar plugin.

3. Yes, many of our customers are using it so we won’t drop the support. See link in 2.

4. As long as you’ve a good server to back it up, no problem at all. We also have some articles to help optimizing everything. But Woffice uses a lot of asynchronous requests, minified files, optimized images… for better performances. But having 10k members on a $5/mo hosting won’t do it.

5. That’s a planned feature, we’ve already done it for the wikis so it’s not very hard to do. We can guide you in achieving this through the support (just mention my name: François in the ticket).

6. Yes, we have many customers using all those plugins. Here again to be 100% honest with you, I can’t guarantee they’ll all work just fine out of the box. Most will. The other might require some small CSS polishment to make them look perfect with Woffice.

When you are logged in as an admin and you go to compose a new message, you can choose ” THIS IS A NOTICE TO ALL USERS.” but you can’t do that with different roles, is there any way we can activate or enable that for certain roles? so they are able to send a message/notice to all the users?

This is a BuddyPress feature, so I’d recommend you to ask that question on their forum but as far as I know it’s not possible.

This being said, even if there is no option you can very likely change that behavior with a BuddyPress filter.

Hi, thanks for your amazing job. I would have some question regarding the theme and its integration. It’s going to be used for my hotel’s intranet. As you can imagine, multiple department : it, spa, restaurant, house keeping, etc..
  • Can we create user credentials by batch or we manually have to create them one by one?
  • Can a group of person be able to just read content and post comment, nothing else?
  • Can we assign group by batch or manually one by one?
  • I’m pretty sure we can specific: parts of the file sharing system can be private and accessible by specific users/group only?
  • Is it possible to disable certain parts we don’t need (i think you showed that in your 3 min youtube video) and disallow for ex google, facebook login, timer, etc ?
  • Did any updates you performed caused issues ? Data loss?
  • Is it possible to disable friendship, private messages?
  • Can we setup specific dashbord tool for specific user groups ? I’d like for ex to have tools in the dasboard dedicated for evry employees and some only visible by specific department ?
  • Is it possible to trigger notifications for everybody/groups when a blog post is made for example?
  • In the forum, can we add file and post file in an answer (bbdrive i suppose)?

2. Yes, you manage the user permission as you like, feel free to restrict any content.

3. One by one as far as I know. Or if you have SQL experience it’s pretty easy.

4. Yes, you can restrict directories using File Away options.

5. Yes, of course any feature can be deactivated. Most of them are built as extensions that you can enable / deactivate.

6. Yes, a long time a ago but some may cause issues. But you can always downgrade it with our free service: https://hub.alka-web.com/woffice/updater

7. Yes.

8. It’s managed by a sidebar area, so you can use a plugin like that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-widget-areas/ to have a sidebar per user group.

9. This is a planned features. But there are various notifications for many actions.

Anyone else notice that since the update to 2.5.3 the projects don’t appear with the differentiated background – now they’re all white boxes on white page and pretty hard to see and read?

Having the chrome horizontal menu problem with the latest update. It locks the screen and cant scroll. If I refresh the cache, it lets me scroll a little. then the menu disappears and the page is locked. Works fine in IE and firefox…

Can you ballpark the time-frame for the Eonet bug fix on woffice? The one that causes the drop down menus (categories, members, etc) not to function anymore when Eonet is on and I think it’s also the reason behind the bug on the Notification Bell drop down menu as to why it doesn’t just disappear when it’s clicked again or when one clicks elsewhere on the page; instead the notification menu duplicates itself and won’t go away until the page is refreshed. I think the bugs are related.

My support is expired. If it doesn’t fix itself in the next update I’ll spring for the support subscription. I did recently upgrade to PHP 7.0.21 so perhaps that’s the issue.

I am running a home owners association in a resort area. We get tons of visitors to the island, as many of the home owners rent their property out for vacation rentals. I have a staff working for me also. I would like to be able to create a front end for the vacation visitors that would include normal looking web pages with lots of information, images, blog etc. I would obviously use what looks like the primary WOffice UI for the staff and property owner members, as it looks like an admin section.

Is this possible with this theme?

Thanks for your interest in Woffice.

Yes, you have several ways to do that.

1. You make the visitor pages public, you can do that for any page and you’ll be able to create complex layout using the Page builder (or the Visual Composer). You can also have a second menu for the unlogged visitors so all the content can be changed according to the visitor status -> logged or not.

2. You use 2 WordPress -> 1 for your frontend if you need a look very different and 1 Woffice only accessible by your team.

3. You setup a multisite to handle everything in one place.

You can backup your site to be 100% sure, but yes it does, it’s working fine on the demos and on our local.
