Hi. I really like your theme. Do you fully support RTL for arabic languages? Can the header section be customized to include a language switcher? I would just like to confirm before we purchase.

The theme itself (the front-end, user facing Drupal theme) fully supports RTL. There is an update going out today (v2.0.9) which includes improvements for RTL, in fact. A few of the back-end modules, however, do not yet support RTL (the slide builder, page builder). Support for these modules is being added a subsequent update (v2.1.0).
Regarding the language switcher, customers have added a new region to the header and placed their language switcher block in this region, it takes only a few minutes to implement. I would be happy to help out on our support forum as well if you needed me to walk you through the process.

Hi there! presale question: is it possible to use this theme and crate a drupal 8 commerce site? Also would like to ask if possible to create a layout where i have a fixed sidebar at the left(sidebar is not scrolling) and content are at the right? if i purchase can you guide me trough how to achive that layout using a sub-theme? thanks!

A prepackaged version of Dawn + Drupal Commerce is still a couple of months away, I have a design update coming out first (within the next 3-4 weeks). Drupal Commerce support will be added in the following update (estimated late May). Until then, you would be responsible for any styling or customizations related to Commerce.
Regarding the sidebar, are you talking about making a sticky sidebar using the sidebar layout seen on the blog page? If so, that would be easy to do using our sub theme and Bootstrap 4. I think that would be a nice feature to add into the theme, I’d be happy to help out on the support forum if you decide to make a purchase.
HI is this compatible with current Drupal version and able to be installed and managed with Composer? Also does it rely on any modules that are not within Drupal’s security/supported status?

Dawn is compatible with the latest Drupal version (currently 8.6.13). The theme itself is licensed software that must be downloaded through Envato, as a result I’m unable to ship the theme assets via composer.
There are no contrib modules included that aren’t covered by Drupal’s security / supported status, but the theme does come with a few custom modules (slider, page builder, grid manager).

Hey guys. Thanks for the great theme. I wanted to know if I can add taxonomy vocabularies and additional terms to the theme as when I do this, the views do not reflect the new added terms correctly as it does not seem to like the fact that I modified the original tags. Can you provide a way for me to add one new vocabulary with 5 terms that I can reference from my Portfolio pages to use with the isotope filter to showcase pages?

If you modify the “Saga Grid” settings on the view you should be able to add your new vocabulary. If you need step by step instructions, feel free to open a thread on the support forum and I’d be happy to provide additional details.
But to answer your question, yeah, you should be able to add taxonomy vocabularies and additional terms to the portfolio views. Let me know what I can do to help!
Many thanks for your swift response. I was having issues with specific terms not rendering the related content types despite the /tags/<term-name> links working and listing the content fine. I have checked and can see where the isotope tag selector is pulling the tags from so thank you for that! I will check to see as this only happens for a single term of 5 in all cases, could be a Drupal bug.

Hi, I’m contemplating buying this theme, but … Is it possible to disable/remove the page builder tools? I prefer the slower and manual ‘hand coding’.

The page builder is by no means mandatory, a vast majority of the theme is built using standard Drupal practices (views, blocks / block regions, etc). The homepage, however, does rely on the page builder for the icon box and counter elements.
You can of course uninstall the page builder if you have no use for the module, it’s not required for the theme to function.
I have to say this: This is BY FAR the fastest response I’ve ever had from anyone in this marketplace. Full stop. And thank you for that \m/ I have one additional question: Will you, one day, offer a version/other theme, that can work with Drupal Commerce? I know Commerce may not be the go-to shop, but I’m more confident with Drupal, than, say, Magento.
Well, I’m usually not this fast, but you shouldn’t ever have to wait more than 24 hours to get a response if you need support. 
Drupal Commerce is on the agenda for version 2.1 of Dawn, I’ve had quite a few requests for this and hope to have it implemented over the next month or two. It will be added in soon!

Great theme. Apologize for typing it her, but there’s no recent activity in forum. I need the theme bug fixed asap. My site is live, and layout is broken.
Column classes are print out in the Saga Builder like this grid-col mb-0 xs12md12 lg12. Notice two class names are printed out without a space xs12md12 causing layout issues on small and medium breakpoint. The bug also appears to be on the demo site. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!

I apologize for the delayed response, it looks like the column template for the builder is simply missing a space character between the xs and md classes. I’ve fixed the issue and will have an update to the theme approved on ThemeForest within the next few hours.

I just submitted the update, it should be online shortly. After you download the update you’ll want to replace the modules/saga_builder folder with the updated files.
Once the new version is in place, clear your Drupal cache at Configuration > Performance in the Drupal admin and the issue should be resolved. Let me know if the problem persists and I’ll take another look!
When I try to register for your support forum the website throws “an unexpected error”.
Also, when the Dawn Tools module is enabled, adding a field to a content type breaks the site.

This sucks, I just bought the theme thinking this could be the ONE but it turns out the download only includes a Drupal 8 version. In the Theme page it says it supports Durpal 7. Since the Support link doesn’t work I’m writing a comment. I’d like to ask for my money back.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I recently updated the theme to version 2—in that update, Drupal 7 support was dropped (not enough people were buying the D7 version of theme). You can of course have your money back!

If you add a width property to the logo-icon css class in your stylesheet, this is the easiest way to control the size of the logo. For example:
.logo-icon {
width: 100px;
}
You can also turn off HiDPI rendering for the logo in the theme settings at Appearance > Settings > Globals > Logo Image Settings. This will double the size of the logo you have uploaded.

Boxslide is the default option, you need to simply open the select menu like seen in the screenshot below:
Are there no options under your menu? Make sure you are using the latest version of the slider we have in the Dawn download package and everything should work as expected.

But, yes, the problem is that there are no those options, just 1 option Boxslide, otherwise I’d find them. So I’ll check the package again.
What folder are those effects/transitions are in? Do I need to change theme fully or just add to some certain folder?

These transitions don’t live in “files”, they are generated by a JS library. I’d be happy to take a look at your site but I highly doubt the files or theme are the problem, this has never happened in the past which leads me to believe the issue is related to something with your setup. Let me know what I can to to help.
Planning to do a remake of a current HTML based website, and adding some modules I already created. Just wanted to ask; there are no limits in changing the theme / code whatso ever ?

The HTML, CSS, and JS markup is pretty straight forward. Dawn is a theme I designed and coded myself, so any questions which may come up I’ll definitely be able to help out.
Dawn is currently the most lightweight Drupal theme available here when it comes to template files and dependencies, very little is hardcoded so you won’t have to edit much markup outside of the page.tpl.php file (this is where a vast majority of the HTML is rendered).
I guess it depends on what you mean by “no limits”. It’s lightweight, so it’s easy to customize if you already have a working knowledge of HTML/CSS. I hope that answers your question!
Let me know if there is anything you needed me to clarify, I’d be happy to take a look at the HTML template you’re working with if you needed a more certain answer.
I am a web developer ; so yes I have a decent knowledge Just don’t want the hassle setting up multilingual and redoing the bootstrap from scratch …;)
I’ve never had any major issues with multilingual come up in the past, and if they did, I would of course help out. Feel free to send an e-mail via my author profile page if you wanted to see a copy of the documentation, a basic multilingual installation can be setup in under 5 minutes.
Keep in mind that any modules you download from drupal.org may not be Bootstrap based and would require custom styling on your part, but as far as the Dawn theme itself goes it’s quite simple.
I suggest using the Dawn subtheme and just over-riding the page.tpl.php and dawn.styles.css files with your custom HTML/CSS. If additional JS files need to be included on top of what I have, this is easy to do with the subtheme as well.
I’d be happy to provide instructions/advice when needed, hope this info helps!

A mySQL dump of the demo site seen here is included, however the theme can also be dropped into an existing Drupal site as well. Both methods are supported!

You’ll want to follow these steps to disable Google Fonts:
1. At the very top of the dawn/css/dawn.styles.css file, remove the following lines:
html.js > body {
opacity: 0;
visibility: hidden;
}
html.js > body.dawn-wf-loaded,
html.js > body.dawn-wf-inactive {
opacity: 1;
visibility: visible;
}
2. Open the dawn/js/dawn.js file. At the very top of the file, find and remove this line:
this.googleFonts();
Copy the contents of entire dawn.js file and paste the updated contents into the dawn/js/dawn.min.js file (this is the one the site loads), save your changes.
This should be all that is necessary. If you run into any troubles, I’m here to help.

I created a multilingual menu, which works like a charm as long as I use it as a block. The “top menu” still shows all menu links. How can I enable for the “top menu” my main-menu?

By default, we render the main menu through the theme’s page.tpl.php file (this is common on most drupal.org themes as well). I do have a slightly modified version of the page.tpl.php which lets you use a block instead.
