So it does not connect to any social networks like the login landing page suggests? Any all of the posts are hard coded in as html? Profiles, same thing; hard coded and set as links on the side avatars?

HTML and WordPress versions are absolutely different products. HTML includes only HTML,CSS and JS files that altogether make the frontend styling of a social network. HTML templates are not fully working websites. They are used by developers for creating websites on various CMS. So it requires high coding knowledge.

WordPress theme doesn’t require any coding skills. It has backend admin panel with lots of options, from where it can be configured.

We planned to upload update in a day or two.

Another suggestion is that I think the side bar and the top nav can be a little smaller. Check this url http://demo1.wpjavo.com/lynk/ and compare it with https://theme.crumina.net/html-olympus/02-ProfilePage.html you will see that olympus sidebar and nav is kind of taking up some extra pixel spaces. Also the Icons, I really think that those Icons are ugly. Also when I hover my mouse over the left icon the text appears on the right of it, make the hover space bigger so that I dont need to hover all the way to the center of the icon image for those text to appear, and make sure that when you hover over the icon links the background at least will change color, making the hover background change color is good user experience, its easier for user to realize that they are hovering over a link. less stressful on the eye trying to figure out.

Thank you for suggestions! However, we won’t change design, because the other 600+ customers like it. Since it is HTML template, you can adjust its design according to your needs with a few lines of CSS and replace icons with yours.

As for the hover effect, sorry we don’t understand, what is wrong with it. Please, describe it more detailed and provide some examples if possible.

We used not Icomoon, but Fontastic service http://fontastic.me/ for generating SVG icons. It is more tailored for this purpose and it is easier in use.

Olympus is just a HTML template, it provides only frontend files with styling for different social media features. This template is for developers, who can further convert it to a social network or to any other software. All of the mentioned features require additional development.

Okay, thanks for the update on what to look forward to. I’m most excited about the new (chat) icons that’ll be introduced.

Okay, since you guys only decide on the features to be included, please which naming conventions do you use for your css codes (something like BEM syntax). This would help in cases I need to extend your ui-block to create a new widget. For a large project like this, you’ll agree with me that a consistent naming helps to achieve reusable components, something similar to Bootstrap. And in case I’ll need to bring in people for my project, it would be easier to follow. I had wished instead of using a custom .ui-block, you went off with bootstrap’s .card and just customized it, but that’s by the way.

Yea, I don’t expect all the UI elements and components to be completed in one update. I just suggested it should be considered going forward to cater for buyers who would request for one new feature after another. So for every new update, maybe once in two months, we can just have new sets of icons and features/ widgets.

For now we use something similar to OOCSS in the css codes, since this template was much smaller and we didn’t expect it would grow in such a big project.

We agree that using consistent naming such as BEM would be much more helpful. However we don’t know how to implement it without loosing compatibility with projects of our other users, who have already purchased this template. Nevertheless, we will take this idea into consideration. Thank you!

Okay, I would read up on the OOCSS convention. Actually, I didn’t mean to suggest you go with the BEM syntax, I only wanted to know if there’s a naming convention you follow to guide me in my own project because of situations whereby if I deviate from your own convention when writing my own custom codes to override your defaults, it could break my codes when you release future updates of the templates.

Therefore, since you use something similar to OOCSS, I’ll go along with it so that I can maintain compatibility with my own codes and yours when an update is released.

No, Olympus WP won’t be the same in functionality, however it will look very alike to the HTML version. The theme will be based on the BuddyPress plugin.

We are going to sell it on Themeforest, because we are good in WordPress themes, but not in social media. Actually, social media is not only design and functionality, it is more content and advertisement and it requires a huge budget to make it successful.

You need to change HTML datepicker field value format https://d.pr/i/qXoHBY for date value on page load. And in main.js file https://d.pr/i/hDKncn for date format that generated by JS when user change date value.
