I have two questions.
First the font on the picture regarding favorites is the same color as the box. How do I change the color of the font or the box. This is on the listing page.

Hi, I purchased this theme over 6 months ago but still haven’t launched our site. I’m just having trouble with a few small things. We are using WP All Import to import listings via API and the images are all different sizes. This is causing the post grid to look misaligned. Hmmmm…. looks like I need 2.6.9 but I can only download 2.6.8. Also I was wondering about the image aspect ratios and how to fix so they are cropping to the same height. We are downloading from an xml file daily and don’t want to regenerate thumbnails every day. Thanks
That’s the latest version I goofed and didn’t update the version number in style.css so you’re all set until I release v2.7.0 this week.
With new images you don’t have to run the regenerate thumbnails plugin that’s only for pre-existing.

Go into Real Estate 7 Options > Listings > Listing Images follow the instructions within that panel and you’ll be all set.
Sorry about the confusion. I have 2 issues and they are getting mixed up.

I’m still having problems with What’s Nearby. I’ve increased the radius to 1000 but still not working.
Increase it to 30000, its probably due to there being nothing very close in vicinity to your listing locations that are within Google Places database.

You can use the Alternate Title area if you’d like to say not display the street address and something like “Beautiful Downtown Penthouse”.

Ok, put I still have a problem. I tried to change the currency, but I got this message: ‘Invalid security credential. Please reload the page and try again.’
You just need to reload the page WordPress will log you out after a certain time, once you’ve done that you’ll be able to make changes.
I log out but it didn’t help.
Trust me you just need to reload the page and login in again, or close the tab and reopen another one this is a function of WordPress core and not my theme.
I’m having an issue with the text color of the “Login/Register” link in the top right header on hartsvilleliving.com. I have it set to #FFFFFF in the Real Estate 7 Options > Custom CSS area, but it is being overridden to black with a .user-frontend class that seems to be coming from layout.css. What’s the best way to address this? I wanted to ask for fear of messing something up by taking my own ham-fisted approach.
I’d recommend just adding your CSS to Real Estate 7 Options > Custom CSS and you’ll be all set.
That’s what I’m been doing, though. I can’t figure out where the color: #00000 CSS that’s overriding my custom CSS is coming from or how to safely delete it.

I need your help with this. As I said, using !important isn’t working. It’s being overwritten by another !important flag somewhere, and I can’t find it in the source files, layout.css or elsewhere. After this is fixed I’ll look at doing a child theme, but I really need some help with this right now.
I did finally find the CSS, I think. It’s inline, included in <style></style> tag inside <head></head> of hartsvilleliving.com at L:173 C:1262:

I can’t find where this is coming from in the source, though, and it refuses, apparently, to be overridden my own { color: #FFFFFF !important; }.

Indeed. It turns out that the “Header Nav Font Color” overrides the “Header Top Bar User Login Link Color” setting in Real Estate 7 Options > Create a Skin > Header. I hadn’t tried editing that setting. Is that something that could be addressed? I’m going to try to fix the nav link color with custom css now.

Hello, we need to create a mobile menu for our client’s site, but we see no direction in your documentation as to how to do this while using your theme. Is this possible with your template?

Simple fix, just go into Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations > set all the Primary Locations and you’ll be all set.
We tried that, but we continue to get a “regular” menu when we check on an iPad or tablet. Right now, the menu breaks in a second row and we need to avoid that. We have a special mobile menu we need to publish. Please advise.
Make sure to set all Primary locations under Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations once you done that the mobile menu will show.

- Keep in mind the visual composer CSS styles won’t come through to the homepage “Page Builder” sections as it just pulls the content of said page and not the head where visual composer puts all its CSS, I wish it did it inline with the elements but unfortunately that’s not the way they have it setup and is outside of my control, hope you understand.

- You have to be logged in as the listing needs to be tied for a user
- If you’re wanting a multi-language site you’ll just want to use WPML no reason to also use Poedit, I have a lot of buyers in French-speaking countries but unfortunately none have provided their lang files as of yet.

I have some questions about setting up the Real Estate 7 theme.
First, is there a way to edit the title area or turn this off completely on a global settings area?
Second, how can I remove the floating popout widget?
Third, is there a way to change the styling of the menu to remove the highlight above the selected menu item?

Am I correct in assuming that most of the listing and search features inside the Real Estate 7 theme aren’t functional when using an IDX provider? They can’t be integrated with IDX correct?
Also, would you know the best way to add a simple one input search box to say the Revolution slider on a homepage using IDX? I’m using IDX Broker by the way.
Lastly, I’m also having an issue with the IMPress IDX Omnibar Search (and other widgets associated with the plugin) not displaying correctly with the Real Estate 7 theme (see the attached screenshot of the Real Estate 7 theme vs. Twenty Sixteen).
Any idea why this is happening?

- Yes, go into Real Estate 7 Options > Create a Skin > Header > Header Nav Current Top Border Color > set it to the same color as your header background
Any IDX plugin will use its own templates, functions, styling, etc…the most you can do is use some custom CSS to change the color scheme of said plugin to match the theme or your site in this case.

Okay, thanks! This answers my first three questions. However, I’m still having trouble with showing the Ominbar Search with this theme.
It shows up correctly when using another theme but not this one. The Omnibar is added via shortcode. Also, the IDX widget does not show correctly when added via the method suggested in the documentation.

Hi. I’m having trouble changing content on the home page.
http://roman-realty.com/1. I have edited the Lead Heading and Subheading in theme options, it does not change on the front end.
2. Even though I removed Partners and Testimonials from Homepage Layout Manager, those sections still show up. Yet, I added Featured Map – that’s NOT showing up. I have 3 Page Builder blocks enabled, only one shows up under the top banner (about me).
3. I’ve added Page Builder section (About and CTA) with visual composer. It does not work 100%. I’ve added a background color with opacity to darken the image, that does not work. And the only way I can get the image background to show up in the first place is by adding it in Row Parallax setting, it does not work when added as background image in row settings.
What am I doing wrong?
Sounds like you have a caching plugin make sure to clear/purge that otherwise the front end changes wont show.

I don’t have any caching plugins and I know it’s not cache because other changes that I make in theme options do work. Eg. I was able to change Featured Listings to Just Listed.
I am pretty disappointed by the limitations of this theme. You can’t build a fully functional website with this theme’s options. If you say VC is included then it should be fully functional.
ITs definitely not limited and VC is 100% optional as I don’t build any themes with dependencies on third-party plugins, if changes you’re making from the backend aren’t showing on the frontend then there’s a database issue I’d recommend contacting your hosting provider and have them check the raw error logs.

Hi. My theme currently doesn’t include a “Floor” custom field or taxonomy but one could be added with a child theme, the Advanced Custom Fields plugin and modifications to the ct_propinfo() function by copying it from the parent themes admin > theme-functions.php to said childs functions.php file.
