Maybe with a bit of imagination, you can create unique template style, for “restricted area” only. There is no limit to “template styles”.

For some reason, in Joomla, some of the language strings are not “updating” translations. Good news: there is a way to translate language strings for any language and it is very simple and it is working: language override. Language override can be done in your administrator > Extensions > Language(s) > Overrides.
Only thing, is that you need to translate ONLY “right” side, for example:
FLEX_ADDON_AJAX_CONTACT_MESSAGE=”Message”, you should translate only right side: “Message”.
Later on, you can translate other language strings (from language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_flex.ini, template’s language file) and it should work. Also, if you have additional languages, you can create additional override.ini file for (for example) de-DE.override.ini (for German) or fr-FR.override.ini (for French), or other languages, if you have.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend any of the calendar extensions, because we didn’t test any of them with Flex, but I would recommend you to go to JED website: https://extensions.joomla.org and type “Calendar” in the search field, and you will see many “Calendar” extensions. Some of those could be very nice for your purposes?

AP Smart LayerSlider used on Homepage doesn’t have ken burns effects, only “slide” or “fade”. Here is the demo: http://demo.aplikko.com/extensions/ap-extensions/ap-smart-layerslider where you can see slider in action, but with very basic hardware accelerated css animations.
The second part of the question I don’t understand: probably you’re asking if the slider has “parallax” effect? It doesn’t. Again, AP Smart LayerSlider uses hardware accelerated css animations.

This must be something with permissions. Did you set permissions to 755? Can you please check for “images” folder (and subfolders) also?
This happened to few customers before, and changing permission to 755 (allowing uploader in AP Smart LayerSlider to access folders with images) in your cPanel could fix the issue.
Also, are you using “AdminTools” or some similar extension (software) on your website, that can set permissions for folders? Or something with .htaccess file, if you are using it?
Lastly, recently one Flex user realised that Gantry framework could cause a conflict? He stated: “I completely uninstalled Gantry Theme coming from the previous Joomla installation, and all worked like a charm… maybe a jQuery conflict”?
What I am trying to say is that something is blocking AP Smart LayerSlider module to access images.

Permissions are set to 755, but it does not work! I installed the quickstart version in the same root of my website and it works. I do not have other programs, components or plugins that are in conflict! How can I do?

I really don’t know what is causing this “blocking” AP Smart LayerSlider module’s uploader on one website, and it is allowing on another website, on same server. Maybe you are using .htaccess (URL Rewriting) and it is blocking AP Smart LayerSlider uploader/listing directories?

For others that are experiencing same problem with loading images in AP Smart LayerSlider’s admin:
It was about permissions for one file: modules/mod_ap_smart_layerslider/admin/apimagefolder.php file, because this file is “loading” images with ajax from “images” folder (and subfolders) into the slides.
So, if you’re experiencing this problem, then in your FTP client, or cPanel, give permission “744” for this file: /modules/mod_ap_smart_layerslider/admin/apimagefolder.php. So, when you click on “Execute” for “User” or set “744” it should allow this apimagefolder.php to “load” images.

You cannot translate this with language.ini (language strings in language file), because this is HTML5 validation, not Joomla’s.

Additionally, this can be done, with custom work in Ajax Contact Form addon and template’s language file (en-GB.tpl_flex.ini), but maybe somewhere in the future. When you purchase Flex license, which you have done already, you don’t need to pay any of the extensions or plugins. They are coming with Flex “package”. As long as you have access to download Flex package from ThemeForest, you will be provided with all extensions described (included).
Again, no extra charge, Flex has all in the package.

I don’t know for how long you will be able to download Flex, because this is in the hands for Envato (ThemeForest), but as long as you have access to download Flex package from ThemeForest, you will be provided with all extensions included in Flex package.

Since upgrade to latest Flex it has developed an odd problem.
On opening it looks fine but when you mouse over and of the form fields the titles disappear and the field moves up to fill the gap.
The form still works fine though and creates a user.
Has anyone else got this error or does anyone know how to fix it please?
Just for completeness of the story we also upgraded to Joomla 3.8 after upgrading Flex.
Form works fine on Protostar Temp and also if we restore to previous version. Also disabled other Extensions to check, but no difference.

Hi there! I’m currently setting up Flex on a joomla website and I’m curious if there’s a chance to enhance the “Person” addon to allow the upload of a second image which gets shown on hover. So by default you have image1 and on hover it shows still the information below but the image flips to image2. Best regards

This can be done in the future, but only for “Flip” and “Flex” style.
You have very similar addon Flip Box, http://joomla/flex_2.7_no-vm/index.php/page-builder/addons-list-4/flip-box so maybe you can achieve something like that? It has options for both sides.

We removed this code that was making “sticky” footer, because of compatibility issues with some browsers and with Boxed Layout.
Here is a code you can insert in your template’s admin > Custom Code > Custom CSS:

This is a code used before, that makes footer sticked to the bottom.

Megamenu is part of Header, and you can change background for Header, in your template’s admin > Layout (tab) > Header > “Settings” (button in Header row). Modal will open and you can change colors there.
For Megamenu’s Dropdown, as well as “Sticky” Header, you can change color in template’s admin > Presets (tab) > Header.

in version 2.6 there is an error on the acymailing module:
“This redirect url is not allowed, you should change the “Allowed domains for the redirection via the module” parameter from the AcyMailing configuration page to “localhost|flex.aplikko.com|joomla|inicorbaf.it” to allow it or set it to “all” to allow all urls”

If you open Acymailing configuration (Components > Acymailing > Configuration), you will find under “Subscription” tab and the field “Allowed domains for the redirection via the module”. Please remove “localhost|flex.aplikko.com|joomla|inicorbaf.it” from that field. It should work fine after you “clear” this field.
