Hi! Visual Composer is not working propper in the new Firefox Version. Edits/Changes can not be safed. Is it a known bug and is there a workaround? Sorry for asking here, Firefox and Visual Composer support is not very helpful 
There is a bug with the Visual Composer in the new update of Firefox. This issue has been fixed in the new update of Visual Composer. We will add it to the next update so it will fixed in the next update of this theme.
In the meanwhile, you will need to use Chrome instead.

Have integrated WooCommerce and then Square Payments plugin. In Chrome Square plugin works all fine. In Microsoft Edge the payment fields (credit card number etc) titles are there, but you cannot enter the fields to input your data.
Could you advise whether this is something to do the the Vela Theme, or something I should follow up with WooCommerce support?

I’ve tried your site on Chrome and other browsers. It seems to work on my end. The video background is displaying in the “LIGHT THE LIFE” section. I have no idea why it doesn’t work on yours. There may be a browser caching issue. Try to press Crtl+F5 (Command+R on Mac) to force your browser to load new resource files from server instead of caches.
Hi, I have Vela workin’ and all, but the ‘team members’ is kind of blurry. The image resolution is not correct; I checked and team members images all end with ‘300×300.jpg’. I cannot find why Vela team members does this (cut the resuolution) and where this can be set, my pictures of the team members are like 900×1200 so should be a lot sharper.

for some reason I am having problems with the new update (2.0.2). When updating to this version the website brake and it’s unable to fetch the pages… even the wordpress control panel return the same error (unable to fetch the page 500). The wordpress is up to speed and all the plugins as well. I managed to get back on track replacing the vela folder with an older version (Version 1.8.8.1) via ftp. Although now Visual Composer is not working anymore and when I tried to edit something the pop window show a loading icon indefinetly. I tried several times updating the them and I always get the same outcome.
Please help!

Sounds like there was a PHP error on your site. Please ensure that you’re using PHP 5.6 or greater. This theme and bundled plugins are compatible with 5.6 and greater. However, the recommended version of PHP for WordPress is 7.0 as you can see in WordPress system requirements: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
Also, the Vela 2.0.2 comes with Visual Composer 5.4.2. Make sure you have updated the Visual Composer and all bundled plugins to the latest update.

If you have a cache plugin installed, you will need to purged all caches after you update the theme. Also, try pressing Ctrl+F5 (Command+R on Mac) to force reload your browser to see if it works.

We would recommend you to upgrade your server PHP to make sure your site will be compatible with WordPress and other plugins.
Thanks for that. We’ve updated it to 7.0 and it came back. Now we’re having issues with the header image. It will not load up for us. Any suggestions here? No changes were made to the theme.

I just updated Vela to the latest release and currently, image backgrounds aren’t displaying on the pages although I have the correct options selected under Title Area.
It looks like the only workaround I had to this was manually add the following CSS:
.title-wrapper { background-image: url(picture.jpg); }
For some reason, this isn’t populating automatically. Any others with this issue?

apparently there is a problem with the layout when resizing to small screen (tablet / mobile view). In the the Vela-Agency template, when you resize the screen, the section “our services” becomes messy: the image is not associated to the same text/description anymore, and also the order is quite random. Can you please help?

By default, the browser displays columns from the left to the right and the top to the bottom. So, the image is not associated to the same text as it should be and it looks like the order is quite random on mobile but actually this is what browser works.
On desktop, if you have 2 rows as below:Image - Text - Image - Text Text - Image - Text - ImageOn mobile, they will be:
Image Text Image Text Text Image Text Image
Thank you for reporting this issue, we will provide better solution in the future.
In the next update, we will add new option to the row settings that allows you to change or reverse the order of columns on mobile so the image will be associated to the same text/description.

Hi there,
The page header image is in the title area. You can show or hide the page title area in Vela Options -> Title Area in the page edit screen.
I just tried it on our demo site, it seems to work and the header image didn’t show up, as you can see here: https://wydethemes.com/vela1/shop/
I have no idea why it doesn’t work on your site. Please ensure that you’ve updated the theme and all bundled plugins to the latest update.
Also, make sure you’ve edited the correct shop page. Go to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Display to see which page you’ve set as Shop Page.

- All themes, plugins etc are up to date. - I’ve doubled checked and am at the correct Shop page. - As per your instructions, I am able to turn the Header image/section on/off through Vela Options -> Title Area on all pages of my website (including other WooCommerce pages like the Cart page), EXCEPT the Woo Shop page. When I load that page through the page edit screen it doesn’t seem to load properly, and none of the Vela Options info is visible to even be able to change. The Bakery Page Builder back-end editor section also does not display anything. I Googled this and saw a few comments saying the WooCommerce Shop page works a bit differently (as an archive page), and so was wondering if this would be affecting the page edit screen?

There may be a plugin conflict on your site so the shop page doesn’t work properly. If you’ve other plugins installed, try to deactivate them to see if it works.

This is a server configuration issue. You have many extensions/add-ons for WooCommerce installed on your site, they need to be loaded on the shop page edit screen but your server has the low configuration limits so it couldn’t complete some process from those plugins.
I’ve tried to deactivate WooCommerce Role Based Methods and WooCommerce Square plugin, it seems to work now. If you’d like to use them, you will need to deactivate other plugins (i.e. Yoast SEO, Jetpack) to reduce the server resources usage so the shop page edit screen will work properly.
If you’d like to activate all of them, you will need to increase the server configuration limits or upgrade your web hosting plan to increase the server performance.
However, your WordPress site is running on the old version of PHP (5.5), you can check the server settings in the “Server environment” section on WooCommerce -> Status page in your WordPress admin.
The recommended version of PHP for WordPress and WooCommerce is 7 or greater as you can see in WordPress and WooCommerce system requirements below:

The Visual Composer plugin is included in the theme. We’ve purchased the extended license of that plugin so you can normally use it without registering a product license code.
The product code activation option is only for direct customer who has purchased that plugin individually, it’s to enable automatic update feature and access direct support from the plugin author.

I need help please with broken image links. I have updated an existing portfolio item with new gallery images, but they don’t show. When I inspect the page it looks like the file path is broken: “img src unknown”. All other images on the site, including other portfolio items, work normally.

Hi, I have purchased VELA THEME for my website and have few questions : 1) regarding translation in French, I have tried either with LOCO TRANSLATE or POEDIT but i still have few words that are not translated despite being manually corrected/added. Ex: “By” was replaced by “Par” but this does not appear in the website. 2) I have selected “No” regarding sharing social medias on each page but i still have the “share” button appearing on the website. 3) How is it possible to erase the “META” widget on the “article” main page of my website and how is it possible to customize the META widget if we want to use in a footer section. 1. It works correctly after I translate the theme with Loco Translate plugin. However, the word “By” that’s included in the PO file is related to the one in the post metadata below the post title, like the one in this page: https://wydethemes.com/vela1/blog/blog-right-sidebar/

2. The Social Sharing Icons option in Theme Options -> Blog is just to show or hide the sharing icons in the post metadata (beside the comments icon) like the one in this page: https://wydethemes.com/vela1/blog/blog-right-sidebar/

3. You can edit the widget in Appearance -> Widgets, you can remove that widget from the Blog Sidebar so it won’t show up in the blog page. Also, you can add it to the Footer sidebars (Footer Column 1 to 4) to show it in the footer section.
Hi this is great theme. But we’ve realised that on our mobile version the parent menu item links do not work. The submenu (child) links work fine. We’ve checked and it doesnt seem to be a plugin issue nor is it the child theme.
On mobile, you will need to click on a parent menu item to show or hide the submenu. So, I would recommend you to add a custom links menu as a parent menu item and then set the link of the menu to #.

We add custom links as parent menu items (Pages, Blog, Portfolio and Shop) and set the link to # instead of adding the pages directly.

I am having issues with getting the page title area background image to display. I have set individual images on a couple pages in the Vela Options and only the background color appears, not the image.
This issue began when I updated the Vela theme to 2.0.2. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know what other details/information you need from me.

Make sure you didn’t set the row background. If you’ve set the background for the rows, you will see the row background instead of the page background.

Hello Wyde, I am an architect and I purchaged your nice theme. I really like your Vela portofolio application but I have difficulties with the sliders. How can I put my own pictures in the sliders? I don’t see them in the page builder and I can’t choose another slider in the page builder.

You can add and edit sliders in Slider Revolution section on your WordPress admin, you can find more details on Slider Revolution here: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/
Once you’ve created new slider, there are 2 ways to add slider to the page:
1. In the Vela Options in the page edit screen, select “Show Slider” and then choose a slider. It will always display a slider at the top of the page.
2. Add a Revolution Slider element from Visual Composer, you can put a slider to any sections on the page by using the page builder.

Hi. Do you know about any compatibility issue between your theme and “Cookie Notice by dFactory” plugin?
I am currently working on this website for a client: https://ateliersdurables.powebco.biz/. I am using the plugin Cookie Notice by dFactory. It works with many of my other websites. But on this website with your theme the plugin shows but the bar at the bottom of the screen never disappear even when clicking on the “J’accepte” button.
I already actived/desactivated all other plugins but it does not change anything to my problem. So I guess the issue is coming from the theme.
ps: I did a brand new installation of the theme, imported a demo, and installed this plugin without adding anything else, and I have the same issue. If it’s indeed a compatibility issue with the theme, do you have a solution? If not, do you know another cookie notice plugin that is compatible with your theme?
Try to update the theme to see if it works. You’re using the old version of the theme that was released almost a year ago. Also, I would recommend you to install the Envato Market plugin to enable automatic update feature to make sure your site is always compatible with the new update of WordPress and other plugins.
I thought we already updated it. You are right, it works with the updated version of the theme. Sorry for the stupid question then and thanks for helping that quickly!

Hello, My company had purchased the Vela Child theme some time ago and we’ve recently updated the Wordpress and Visual Composer. When we did this it seams that we lost the ability to use the Vela tool in the page builder. Please advise on how we can get these back. Thank you!
You will need to update the theme and Wyde Core plugin to make sure it will be compatible with the new update of WordPress and Visual Composer. Actually, the Visual Composer is included in this theme, you don’t need to purchase and update it separately. After you update the theme, you will see a notification message to install the Visual Composer plugin that’s included in the theme.
Related posts are not visible under the post. It’s on from Theme Options but still it’s not visible. I’ve added Tags in posts also. Please help.
