Hi, I successfully downloaded the Definity Multi-purpose Theme during an Envato Freebies week; however installation today was unsuccessful due to a missing stylesheet. I read your instructions regarding this error and am unable to resolve the issue. You see, prior to uploading the theme to my WordPress site, I had extracted all the files from the zip file provided in the free download. I’ve rechecked and the installable zip file doesn’t exist by itself. Can you provide me with the zip file that will enable me to upload the theme to my WordPress site please?

Hi, I recently purchased and installed the Definity theme. I created a home page with full screen slider, but have a large grey area under the menu and page title appears in it.

You need to select Pages > Page Name > Template > “Visual Composer”.

the portfolio single pages are not custom post types – so you need to create it yourself with the elements available, or just copy the content from the demo and edit it with your assets.

Yes, but when you edit single portfolio item there are hover types options and some of those have two buttons – like for example here (the 2nd and 3th) from both rows http://themes.89elements.com/definity/hover/
As you can see one button is for link the other is for popup like you want.
Ok, then just simply edit the “Portfolio Item” and in the options, at the end, there is “Link” setting – here add your link to the portfolio single page.
Yes, there is only one button and one button can do one thing only – I notice now that the masonry layouts don’t have additional hover options because of their smaller size.
If you use regular portfolio layout, not masonry you will have an option for additional hover effect where you can add 2 buttons – one for popup and one for a link.

Hi there, to install the Twitter widget plugin, you don’t need to download it manually, you need to install it from Appearance > Install Plugins.
That error shows because you have that plugin folder already on your server – you can FTP login to your host wp-content > plugins > delete the “custom-twitter-feeds”.
This will remove the error and you can install the plugin manually.

Hi, yes i know how to change logo and turn on sticky menu but on demo page when you are on top of the page logo has white background and black text but when you scroll down, different logo shows with black background and white text..

That feature was available in the original HTML version of Definity, but was left out in the WP theme because it was more confusing than helpful.
But because I had left it on the demo (by mistake) I will help you implement it.
Please share FTP and WP admin access (via email from my contact page) and I will do it for you, also make sure you have the two versions of the logo in the email (dark & light).

Hi there, first thank you for the purchase.
You can modify the contact form to have an attachment – you can do that from Contact Form 7 tab, you can even create new contact form there with the fields that you need, then use the Visual Composer to add your custom contact form.

Hi Viktor! First of all, great theme. My client is very happy on how it looks. Here’s the address of my client’s site: www.undiscoveredfreedom.com.
They have revisions though that I can’t find the solution to. (1) The Logo. They want the logo to be white/black (background/text) when the nav is transparent, and inverted when the nav is white. The current logo right now is only a photo placed there. May I ask where I can revise this?
(2) For the instagram footer, when I add 1 pixel of margin, the layout breaks. May I ask for your solution towards this? They want it to look exactly as your demo.

Hi there, first thank you for the purchase and the good words.
1) That is not available as an option in the theme, but can be done with CSS and JS (load second image via css and target it with JS to be shown after certan scroll distance). This is done in the HTML version of Definity.
2) There is a detailed guide in the help file how to setup the instagram widget under the Miscellaneous section.

Hi there, that feature switching logo based on the navbar color it is available in the original HTML version of the theme, but because it was more confusing than helpful it was left out from the WordPress version.
Because it is on the demo of the WP version (by mistake) I will help you implement it. I will need FTP access and WP admin access (use email for this – from my page, contact form).
From your link, you don’t need a custom post for that, you need to edit the single.php file and then restyle some elements in order a single blog post to look like that. – The support doesn’t include theme editing but I will try to guide you if you start yourself.

On the front page, I have a Parallax section which displays quotes (using testimonials module) with a fading effect. The animation speed/length are set as default. The problem is that the text fadding animation is laggy and not smooth.

This is disappointing. Although you do mention that the website is 100% responsive, it is actually not. Even though if we use the same contents as the demo theme without much alteration, it still messes up the layout on the phone. You can check the same for any of your demo theme as well. The very first element on the website – that is the slider – even that gets cut off on the phone. I want a refund.
Hi there, the min supported resolution is 300px (width). If you are not satisfied and won’t be using the theme ask for a refund.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with the slider, the theme was tested on iPhone 6 plus and it works great. Yes, of course, there will be some compromises on mobile devices and the full image won’t the visible on smaller screens but the text and buttons are visible.
Can you tell me what slider is the problem and what device are you using to view it on to, so it will be fixed in the next update?

Hi there, sorry I can’t create accounts. I will try to guide you to solve the problem yourself.
d_animation is new VC element introduced in v1.2 so you need to update the theme to that version (there is a guide in the help file). Your hosting probably is caching the theme so that’s way it’s working in the localhost and live not.
Another way to solve this is to edit the VC elements where the shortcode is visible and delete the wrapping d_animation element.

Obvious is some problem with your hosting when it’s working locally. I don’t have experience with Pantheon so I don’t know what is the problem exactly.
I need login credentials to inspect it myself in more detail if that is not possible I can only guess by the look of the image which I think is missing the VC Animation element.
My download of the Difinity theme, did not come with the slider revolution in my assets. I’ve downloaded a couple of times and it is not there.
Slider revolution is included in the theme, to install it navigate: WP Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Install Plugins, from here click install and then activate it, you should also install visual composer from here or follow the notification that shows at the top, to install the recommended plugins.
Also, the theme comes with help file (documentation – in the main download file) where is explained in details and with pictures how to setup the theme.

1. Can you elaborate on this – website pages have your website page title followed by website site title or on homepage site tagline (those can be modified in settings > general). Where you see the theme title that you want to change.
2. You should use the Visual Composer template for pages, that will remove the default comments section.

I was able to figure out the first thing.
The second thing I have searched all over. Even when I use a default template from the definity templates it still shows up on each of the pages. It doesnt even show when i go to the html script for the page.
Ok, glad to hear that, here are more details for the second questions.
When you create a new (or edit) page form the WP admin dashboard, there is “Page attributes column” to the right, that has “Templates” dropdown menu, use that menu to select “Visual Composer” there, then save the page.
In order to show “Visual Composer” as a template there, you need to have installed all the recommended plugins from the theme – those are:
- Definity Elements;
- Visual Composer;
- Slider Revolution;

Can you please provide the correct steps to update to the new theme version?
Hi there, there are few ways to update the theme, the best one is via FTP so you will need to have FTP credentials, that you can get from your host.
FTP Update:
1. Download the theme from themeforest.net again;
2. Install FTP client (Filezilla is free);
3. Login via FTP to your hosting;
5. Unzip the main theme file;
5.1 Inside unzip the definity.zip file;
6. With the FTP app locate the destination: “YOUR_HOSTING_ROOT/YOUR_SUBDIRECTORY/wp-content/themes/”
6.1 Drag and drop the definity folder that you have unziped before;
6.2 FTP program will give you warning that there are existing files with those names, chose replace all;
6.3 This can take up to 10 – 20 min.
That’s it.
Another way that you can do it (easier) install the free plugin “Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades” upload the newly downloaded version of definity.zip (Unzip the main folder but not the definity.zip one) – like when you add new theme via WP admin dashboard and that should do it.
Before any updates make sure you have backups of your website, also backup of the old version of the theme in case anything goes wrong.

Are you talking about a single post or blog posts (if b.p. – which layout type), also please state the classes of the containers that you want to modify (not all classes but the one from the theme).

Locate the file definity>tempalte-parts>content.php there you will see the class .bp-content that wraps the meta, title and the excerpt outside of it is the post-img (definity_post_thumbnail()) just cut it and add it inside .bp-content.
The other elements that you’ve mentioned are already inside .bp-content (post-title & post-meta) there is no class post-meta-footer.
Of course, you will also need to modify the CSS after you’ve changed the order, I’ve used SASS so it’s better organized.
Note that I am talking about the blog posts and not single blog post – because you’ve mentioned 2 columns.
If you are talking about single post – locate the files definity>single.php and definity>template-parts>content-single.php
Here in content-single.php – .post-meta-footer class is already in .bp-content? And you just need to cut, definity_post_thumbnail();, the_title(...); and definity_post_meta(); and paste them inside bp-content – for that you don’t even need to change the CSS the styles are still aplied correctly.
