I’m sorry but in the Overlap theme you couldn’t display the sliding panel on mobile.

However, it is available in our new theme called “Aoraki” as you can see here: https://wydethemes.com/aoraki/

Aoraki theme comes with more features and more demos (e.g. Page Border, Left and Right menu) so if you’re looking for a WordPress theme like the Overlap theme, we would recommend you to take a look at the Aoraki theme also.

This is a bug of the jQuery ScrollTo plugin with the new update of Chrome so you will see that it works fine on other browsers.

This issue has been fixed in the Overlap 1.3 that has been released on October 1. You will need to update the theme to fix it.

The download link in your Downloads tab on ThemeForest always downloads the latest update of the theme so you can download it from the same download button.

Also, there is a new update of the documentation included in the recent updates of the theme so we would recommend you to download “All files & documentation” so you will find the new update of our documentation inside the zip file.

The theme updating will replace the whole theme folder so please don’t edit any files in the theme folder directly.

Usually the theme update won’t affect other plugins. However, we have never tried it with other plugins that are not included in the plugins support list so we couldn’t confirm that it will be compatible and work properly with them.

We would recommend you to install the Envato Market plugin to enable automatic update feature so you can download and install the new update from your WordPress admin page. You can find more details on how to update the theme in our documentation.

Sure, you can. To change the social links in the post, you will need to add custom filter to your child theme as below:

1. Please ensure that you’ve updated the theme to the latest update.

2. Always use the Child theme when you’d like to modify the theme. If you are not currently using a child theme, you will need to install and activate the overlap-child-theme.zip.

3. Go to Appearance -> Editor to edit the Overlap Child theme.

This theme is compatible with PHP 7 and greater. We have tested it withPHP 7.0.26, everything is working fine so it should be working properly with 7.0.25 too.

However, if you have PHP 7.1, it is recommended.

and….can one take away the “zoom effect”?

1. The blog posts section in the Food Stylist demo displays the featured image in 960×540px. However, it is a full-width section, it always stretches to full the browser width. It looks good on full-hd screen (1920×1080px) and smaller but if you’re using a large screen like 4K, the images would be blurry.

To work around this, you will need to disable the Full Width section so the maximum width of the blog section will be 1700px. Go to Pages to edit the Recent Posts page, and then edit the first row to change the Content Width to Default instead of Full Width.

You can change widgets in sliding bar in Appearance -> Widgets, and then edit the widgets in Sliding Bar. Also, you can hide that sliding bar icon in Theme Options -> Navigation -> Sliding Bar.

Those overlap capabilities are also available on blog single post so you can build the post like the individual pages. However, the full-width layout is not available for blog single post but only boxed layout. So, you couldn’t display the full-width background section like the page, and the maximum width of the post content is 1170px as you can see here: https://wydethemes.com/overlap/unlimited-choices/

I’m sorry, I think that you couldn’t include the form with script in the message body. Contact Form 7 sends the message to email directly as a mail format (text/HTML). Mail message allows only HTML but JavaScript, it would be blocked by default.

I would recommend you to create a form on your site, send the link to your customer’s email so they will click the link and go to the form on your site to choose their options.

Please ensure that you’ve increased the PHP settings as we provided in our documentation. The easiest way is using PHP Settings plugin so you can check the current settings and change them to the minimum as we provided.

Once you’ve updated the settings, try to select only Media and then click on a demo thumbnail to import only media to see if it works.

You can edit the page header in Overlap Options -> Title Area in the page edit screen. Go to Pages to edit the About Us page, scroll down to the bottom of the page edit screen, you will see the Overlap Options. If this is not what you’re looking for, please clarify or provide me that page URL.

As you know there is no category settings for the image by default so the Image Gallery couldn’t display the category text of the image.

I think you will need to use the third party Gallery plugin instead.

hello, Thank you. I did not understand that you had to remove the zip Overlap zip Themeforest before putting it on Wordpress.

So I installed the theme and followed the documentation. But, I have a problem. In “Theme Options” (back-end editor), I do not have a “Header” tab. There are just 4 lines on the header in “Navigation”: “sticky header”, “full width”, “header background”, and “header logo”. And I can not put a title on my site or photo in the header. Indeed, “Title area” does not contain the options that are marked on the documentation. I installed Envato market but it does not offer me any update for the theme. I have the latest version of Wordpress, 4.9. I chose the Creative Studio demo. But it does not matter because the menu was already buggy before I put this demo.

I’m really disappointed after hours tearing my hair because what I have to adjust the theme does not match the documentation and I can not put a title or put a photo at the top of the page Home …

The title area settings in Theme Options are default settings for the page title area. You can set the header image for each page in the page edit screen.

Go to Pages, edit your Home page you will see the Overlap Options at the bottom of the page edit screen. Select the Title Area tab to set the page title area.

However, the main image at the top of the Home page is a slider. You will need to edit the slider in Revolution Slider screen on your WordPress admin. You will find more details on how to edit the slider here: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/

Actually, you can add custom CSS to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS like other themes. I have no idea why it doesn’t work. Could you please provide me your site URL or your custom CSS? So I can take a better look.
