We aren’t receiving any of your messages. However, I can reassure you that there are no known issues with the Milk Theme.
Therefore, I would recommend you re-install the theme and plugin, then re-configure.
so you say the themeforest contact author script doesn’t work? it sends email thru this site so you must have it.
I’ve reinstalled it several times and still nothing.

Is there a way for the end user to switch from the light theme to the dark one? Because the usual way of doing it, is by installing a theme 2 time, different names and let the user choose one of them in the user panel. However, with this theme, since it’s using an extension, I can’t do such a thing. This would be one of the “pre-purchase” questions

Short answer: Not yet.
Long answer: We’re currently working on adding a link that will allow end-users to toggle between light and dark presets if they choose. There’s no ETA as we’re also about to roll out a second style in our portfolio, but it’s definitely near the top of our priorities.
In the meantime, it’s definitely possible to install the theme twice with only one flightdeck installation. If you contact us after purchase, we can send you instructions on how to achieve this

I would like to ask a pre-purchase question. How do I use a phpBB theme? All I have to do is install phpbb forum software then install the theme? how do I install the theme? I think this is just a skin, right? only front end I mean.. Which means to be able to use social login I need to find a plugin for phpbb to add social login capabilities?

Correct! The Milk Theme comes in 2 parts: A front-end theme, and an extension that you also install – this is used to control the theme options and set colours etc.
The best way to learn how to install these would be to check YouTube for installation tutorials.

Installed the theme, activated flight deck, activated theme, set the theme as default. theme is still not activated. I have purged but still can’t see it..

Hi, I’ve found the solution. It wasn’t in the css, it was in my adobe Illustrator settings. When I saved my image as .svg I had to check “Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities” and then uncheck “responsive”, then everything worked like a charm.

Yes .gifs can be used in avatars. As for social networks, this can’t be built into front-end themes, but the Milk Theme supports all extensions. So if there is an extension available for this, it’ll work on the theme
Social networks use api to login or regsro. Is it possible to use this method?

For avatars on the index page (last post column), displayed with the “Avatar in last post” extension, we have added a flightdeck option to force rounded avatars if desired.
All other avatars will use their natural shape

How can a user subscribe to a forum? I see only the possibility to subscribe to a thread.
When viewing a forum, click the wrench icon next to “New topic” , then “Subscribe forum”
There is no wrench icon when viewing a forum. Only if viewing a thread. (“Allow subscribing to forums” in the phpBB settings is turned on. I’m logged in as admin).
Oh, found the wrench icon … it’s on the bottom next to “New topic” and not on the top and bottom like as is on threads. Can you fix this with the next update?

The only thing setting me back is the fact that the sidebar is global. This is very off putting in my opinion and takes up too much space when viewing a post etc. If I were to purchase the theme I’d want this to be limited to the index only.
Is it possible to stop it from being global? If not I’ll have to find another theme

1. Yep, the particle speed can be decreased. Message us after purchase through the “item support” tab and we can help you out with that.
2. The colour switch you see is only present on the live demo, it won’t be visible to your forum members.
3. Installing the Theme is just as easy as installing any other phpBB Theme or extension. You just need to remember both the theme and extension. There are many installation help videos on YouTube if you’re having trouble following our documentation
I have just bought it and installed Installation went very smooth so I was a bit surprised.
Unfortunately, I failed to find any guide how to slow down the speed of particles movement and how to install the advertising blocks. I looked through all html file with instructions and did not find how to do it in the Flight Deck ( I mean a particles speed).

Regarding the flash of unstyled content I posted some comments before:
For the navbar, it is actually due to the “hidden” class being for some ms activated, even if it is wrapped by some IF html entities such as S_DISPLAY_SEARCH and S_USE_QUICK_LINKS. Removing that class fixes the issue.
An option you could add in the Flight Deck ext is: pause particle.js when not in view.
Added this myself with js and it’s quite useful to avoid eating cpu (10%) on chrome.
The theme is also compatible with bootstrap (with small fixes)

These are the features I added (with js / theme edits) you might want to add an option in the ext:
- Navbar sticky on scroll
- Forum real full width ( it’s set to 95% by ext, even if you select fluid )
- Remove indentation in the lower header part
- Pause the particle.js when not in view
- Load random particle.js configs
- Show sidebars only on index
- Display on index a toggle sidebars slide (like iOS toggles), showing/hiding the sidebar as user want, saving the preference with jquery.collapse_storage.js
- Add smooth animation to collapse categories
- Bootstrap compatibility (just some small fixes needed)

Depends whether you’ve made any changes to the template files or CSS. If you haven’t made any changes, just uninstall both the theme & flightdeck, then re-install using the latest set of files downloaded from ThemeForest
