Hi i updated from 1.8 to 2.2 and the site top menu disappears and the entire footer . also the text in some parts get smaller and some other parts bigger . any suggestion what should i do?

After you update the theme, you will see a notification message to install the new update of bundled plugins.
Also, there may be a plugin conflict on your site. Try to deactivate your plugins to see if it works.

Hi, I had the same problem re Title area background to Kdruss, so the solution worked on pages, but it looks like all the settings for the portfolio item pages are gone and I can’t find a different solution except manually reset all of them? Other solution would be much appreciated.

Once you update the theme, there are 2 lines of code you will need to edit in page-title.php. Please replace ’$$page_bg_image_url’ in both line 46 and 56 with ’$page_bg_image_url’ so the title area background in the portfolio item page should be fixed too.
If the title area settings won’t show up in the portfolio item edit screen. It might be a caching issue, try to clear your browser caches to see if it works.
Anyway, we will release the new update of this theme ASAP! Thank you for reporting this issue.

I just updated to 2.0.2 and my title background images have disappeared. The page settings are all the same, and the image is still showing in the ‘Background Image’ field under ‘Vela Options > Title Area’, but no image displays on the live page. Do you know why is that happening?
1. The system failed to fetch the DCV (Domain Control Validation) 2. The system failed to send an <abbr title=”Hypertext Transfer Protocol”>HTTP</abbr> “GET” request
That is a server configuration issue.

1. I’m sorry but the page title area settings are not included in the in the single product page. That means, you couldn’t remove the page title on the product details page.
Anyway, you can remove it manually by adding custom filter below to functions.php in your child theme:

2. The minimum version of PHP that’s compatible with this theme is 5.6. However, PHP 7 or greater are recommended. Also, the recommended version of PHP for WordPress and WooCommerce are 7.2 or greater as you can see in WordPress system requirements: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

You can increase the ‘padding-top’ in the code I provided to add bigger gap between the menu and the main product details.
Hi – i am using WP Forms for all my signup/contact forms but the issue i am having is the form looks really nice when i preview the specific page however once i link the page with the form to a button on the homepage and access if via the homepage the styling is completely off.
How can i keep the styling that is offered with the WP forms plugin?

I guess that this is an AJAX Page issue. Try to disable the AJAX Page Transitions in Theme Options -> Page -> AJAX Options to see if it works.
If you have any other plugins that are not included in the plugins support list. I would recommend you to disable the AJAX Page Transitions option to avoid the plugin conflict issue.
Hello, My website page loader is displaying a black screen every time a page is loading. Any reason why that is? The default is set to a spinning wheel.

Looks like you have figured it out! It seems to work now on my end. I couldn’t see the black screen, the spinning animation is on the white screen.
It might be a browser caching issue. Try to clear your browser caches to see if it works.
Hi there, since the update all my text lines are glued to eachother. All the
are gone. Why is this? check www.isdesubsidieaanvragen.nl. All text of the first part should have decent breaks between the paragraphs. It used to be so, but now there gone. And even if I add them manually (should not be necessary) in the VC item, there gone if i check them live. Please HELP!!!

I’m sorry but we have never seen this issue before. Actually we have space between paragraphs but it works only on the Boxed layout as you can see on the pages below:

When using the Full Width page layout, we usually build the content from Visual Composer elements and if we would like to add space between content elements or text, we put an Empty Space or set custom Padding in Design Options instead, so we have never seen this issue before and nobody reports it.
However, if it worked on your site in the recent updates, I think that it was removed by default settings in the new update of your browser. Many things have been changed in the latest update of Chrome and Firefox, maybe including other browsers. For example: Input fields have rounded corners by default (it was rectangle in recent versions) so we will need to update stylesheet in the theme to remove them. I guess that the issue with space between paragraphs is one thing that has been changed also.
Anyway, thank you again for taking the time to report this issue. It will be fixed in the next update of the theme.

the site is not accepting to insert an animated gif, why? Qurero put a gif in the home within the banner of the slider revolution, but is not accepting the GIF because?
This theme supports GIF file and you can put it to the slider revolution also.
However, please ensure that you have selected the full size (original size) of the GIF image to display. Hi, I downloaded the Vela theme and for some reason I cannot access the Visual Composer template library. I have downloaded/installed/re-installed the VC plugin several times and it will not work. I even purchased the WPBakery Page Builder however it asks me to “activate my copy” and when I click on this it says “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”. Help please! Thanks
I’m sorry, we have disabled the automatic update feature of the Visual Composer plugin since it was packed with the theme so it needs to be updated by the theme author.
Unfortunately, when the automatic update feature was disabled, the Product License page would be removed too, so you couldn’t activate your product license code.
To show the product license page, you will need to add the custom filter below to your child theme.
Here’s a quick guide:
1. Please ensure that you have installed the Vela Child theme, you will find the installable file in the main download zip file.
2. Go to Appearance -> Editor to edit the Vela Child theme.
3. Add the code below to Theme Functions (functions.php):

However, some content elements from Visual Composer have been replaced with the custom elements of this theme. That means, some templates from template library might not work properly. I bought this theme because its one page theme .I installed theme but its not one page theme.I have 7 pages seperate ? How can i convert to one page theme from this theme ?

The One Page site feature in this theme combines the regular pages into one page. This to allow you to easily convert your site from multi pages to one page without creating new page.
When you import One Page demo in Theme Options -> Home, you will receive all pages and settings so your site will work as one page site automatically.
You can enable one page site anytime in Theme Options -> Page -> Page Options -> One Page Website, so your site will work as One Page.
However, one page site automatically populates the content from the pages in the Primary Menu, please ensure that you have setup the Primary Menu in Appearance -> Menus. Add the pages you’d like to display in the front page to the top level of the menu.

I’m sorry but One Page site requires “Pretty Permalinks” mode to work, you will need to use the Pretty Permalinks if you enable the One Page site feature. Go to Settings -> Permalinks, choose “Post name” and save changes, you can find more details here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

1. You can set the link of the Visit Site button in the portfolio post edit screen. In the Vela Options, select the Portfolio tab and then set the “Project URL”. You can leave it blank to remove that button, if you’d like.
2. The button in the next/previous posts brings you to the portfolio home page. You can set the link of that button in Theme Options -> Portfolio -> Portfolio Single Post, turn on the “Home Button”, and then set the “Portfolio Home Page”. If you’d like to remove it, you will need to set it blank.

Hi – we are using the Elementor plugin to create a few pages within the theme. The homepage has a few links to the pages created in Elementor but when we try to click on them they do not work.
For example: in the main menu bar there is a link to a page created in Elementor and it doesn’t go to that page.

Anyway, this theme comes with the Visual Composer plugin so I would recommend you to use the Visual Composer page builder to create a page and content instead.
It’s not about the editor you can edit using visual composer and it doesn’t make a difference – the reason we are using that plugin is because they have wide selection of template styles we can choose from – i noticed that under “page attributes” on each page i have a selection that i can choose “elementor canvas” as a templates – do i have to label this somewhere in the theme for it to pick up those templates?
I’m sorry but this theme doesn’t have predefined page templates to choose from. You will need to import demo content, you will receive all pages from the demo so you can edit them to replace the text and images with yours.
I’m sorry but this isn’t a response to my question – I know that your theme doesn’t have pre-defined templates and you can only upload demo content this is why we purchased the Elementor plugin which gives us a bunch of page designs to choose from – the problem is that we can view them in the preview view but they are not connecting to the theme.
So in my pages section i see all my pages including the templates pulled in from Elementor and i can add a page to the main menu but when i am previewing the website and i click on that main menu page link it doesn’t direct me to it.
Please advise.

I was hired to work one a website that was built with Vela Theme. (There is a tick box to enable a mega menu in the theme’s Menu section, but it does not work. I already tried some free Mega Menu plugins but none of them worked with the theme.
Is there any way I can remove “Vela” Navigation menu from theme files and add a regualar navigation menu? (like the one in the default 2017 theme?)

I’m sorry, that is a bug of the theme. The Mega Menu option was added accidentally to the latest update of this theme. Actually that option is included in the Wyde Core plugin that also included in all of our new themes. However, the Vela theme doesn’t support Mega Menu so that option won’t work in this theme.

Hi – I have two questions regarding the theme:
1) I am trying to add an image on a page but can’t seem to resize the image displayed – only full- original give me the entire image which is too large and all the other size options cuts the image off – if i edit the image and resize it in media then i lose the good resolution and it becomes pixelated. How can i fix this?
2) How can i change the for color in the menu bar – I am using the gold color theme and all the pages show up as white text except for the one that is a drop down menu that is gold – how can i change that to white?

1) I’m sorry but the only way to display the entire image is choosing the original size so it displays the image as uploaded. Other sizes are predefined size based on the theme design, your images will be cropped to fit perfectly to the size you selected.
To display the image on the website, you will need to resize and compress it before uploading. This to make sure it will fit perfectly to the area where you put it into and to make it load faster.
Resizing image is not a theme functionality but plugin. You will need to install the image resizing plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/resize-image-after-upload/ ) on your WordPress site, or manually resize it by using any image editors such as Photoshop before uploading.
2) Try to add custom CSS below to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS to see if it works:

Actually the recommended version of PHP for WordPress and WooCommerce is 7 or greater as you can see in WordPress system requirements: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
So, we would recommend you to upgrade your PHP to 7 or greater. Even you edit the code in the theme but your WordPress site and other plugins still require the greater version. That means, there may be other PHP errors from other plugins or they might not work properly if you’re using the old version of PHP.
Hi there! I use VELA at the website: www.isdesubsidieaanvragen.nl 1) there is a problem with Chrome (in Safari it works): when you click on the menu links, generated by Vela’s auto one-page, you do not jump to that section. I tried to find a way to fix it, but give up. Can you HELP me?
2) in the section ‘about us, I use the ‘team member’ block. Images were like 900×1100 but they appear blurry. It seems they get scaled down to 300×300 pixels and then display bigger than that. I cannot find anywhere any settings for this and do not understand why it makes 300×300 pics of the images. It doesn’t look good. Any idea?

1. This is a bug of the jQuery ScrollTo plugin on Chrome, this issue has been fixed in Vela 2.0. You will need to update the theme and Wyde Core plugin to fix it.
2. When you choose the “Visible Items” more than 3 items, the Team Members Slider displays the images in 300×300px so when they are in the full-width section, the images would be blurry.
To work around this, you should edit the row container of that Team Members Slider element, and then change the “Content Width” from “Full Width” to “Default” so the images will be smaller and won’t be blurry.

So the team members block is kind of useless, if you cannot use it full width. They should fix it. Also; if you use it at normal page width it’s also blurry. Come on 300×300 pixels for a member pic? This is like ancient

There are 2 ways to work around this.
1. Reduce the width of the column. You can add both left and right paddings to the column and the row.
2. Increase the number of items to show, change the Visible Items to 5 so the pictures will be smaller.
However, we will look into this and might add new option in the future so you can choose the image size to display.
