Do this theme compable with Polylang plugin? And could Social Links be changed. For instance could I move them to upper part of a page and increase their size?
The theme is not tested with this plugin. Social links which on border can’t be resized or relocated, but you can insert social links inside page content or widget areas such as footer or sidebar via supported shordcodes. Also you can hide social links on border.
Is there a way to refund the template if it won’t be compable with Polylang plugin?
Typically, these plugins do not work with complex themes and theme with page builders or work with them badly if the theme is not specifically designed for this plugin. I recommend use WordPress in multisite mode for multilanguage sites. If the site does not have a very complex structure, then it is easy to implement multilanguage in this mode. The theme tested in this mode and works ok.
I have another problem: On the main image on the homepage, I tried to change the template to have a logo with a tagline front and center. The text shows., but when I inserted the url for the logo I want to display, it shows in the editor it is there, but not on the site. There is also all this extraneous text that I can’t delete that pulls in with my logo in the editor starting with the garbled “ipsum” text. Can you please give me your insight? Thanks!

Most likely it related to the fact that header effects works only with text content. Unfortunately, I can’t see what you have on admin side, but I see that header “– Your Presence Redefined –” have class svg-effect. I think you insert image inside header. But inside the headers like this, only a text can be displayed. Insert image outside header or disable header effects in the SX Section settings.
Then why does it give you the option to insert an image?
You can insert an image to any editor area, but do not make it as header in the editor via drop-down on toolbar. You can change style of any content items via this drop-down. Make sure that image have not header style.
Hi…great and very impressive theme. I have some presales questions
1) Is it possible to modify the height of the logo and logo area without having to purchase layers pro? Can logo overlap the content area while scrolling? That way bigger logos can fit well in the top area without squashing or creating too big white area in the header area just to accommodate a big logo.
2) Can the mobile menu be hidden on desktop. In most of the demo and sites I have seen, mobile hamburger menu appears on desktop…not sure why there will be duplication of menu like that.
3) Can there be a slider for the hero section instead of just a single image (or video)?
4) Can the dot navigation on the right side of the hero section be hidden such that users only need to use the menu to navigate to page sections?
5) Can you please confirm that the transitions will work with the free layers theme?
6) can there be links/CTA to other pages from the one pager? I see that you have a menu to the blog which is great but no other link to inner pages. I know this is a one-pager but there are some content that will reside outside of the homepage on the site (not external links but pages on the same site/server such as more detailed content), so it is crucial to have a way to link to those pages from the landing page.
7) Is search supported or will Layers pro be needed for that?
GTMetrix score is really low (D) for page speed and slow for your demo site. Is the theme tested with performance optimization? In other words, will minifying JS, CSS, etc mess up the theme display?
1) The theme is not tested with Layers Pro and this plugin is not supported. The theme has no header and the logo corresponds to the size of the menu. You can change the width of the logo, but if you try to change the height, it will break the design of the theme. I think that if you try to do this with Layers Pro or custom CSS, it will go bad.
2) The theme has two menus. The main menu is shown completely on the desktop and as a hamburger on mobile devices. The extended menu is always shown as a hamburger. If the extended menu is empty it is always hidden.
3) Through third-party plug-ins or via a widget that is in the free version of Layers, but it will be necessary to set the correct indents and colors in the widget’s settings to match the theme design.
4) Dot scroll is shown only for sections which have Anchor Id in the SX Section settings. If there is no such sections, dot scroll will not be displayed. Also you can hide dot scroll through simple custom css.
5) Everything that you see on demos will work on free versions of Layers.
6) You can create additional pages and link from one page to another.
7) Standard WordPress widget to search normally works with the theme. On the demo, it is inserted into the blog pages, but you can insert it into other pages as well. Here are the search results for query “page builder”: http://skrollex-wp.x40.ru/alice/?s=page+builder
The slow speed is due to the large number of images in the demo. The size of scripts and styles has little effect in this case.
Hello, I try to install google tag manager in the theme using the option for Additional Scripts in Customize. I put the code for header in Custom Header Scripts and the other one for the boby in Custom Footer Scripts but when I test with tool like Tag Assistant (by Google) it does not recodnize the codes.
Can you give me information how I should add this codes in the theme?
Theme not tested with this service but I think theme should work with it. See what is inserted to page code via browser console. Make sure that the page code shows exactly what is required for work of this service.
Love your theme! I’m having issues with the “New Window”(like gallery item). I do exactly the same steps as your youtube video “create gallery”, yet it doesn’t show the picture, nor video: it goes to the top of the home page. What am I doing wrong?! Maybe you have problem with auto-embed feature since auto-embed service is free, but have some restrictions. Enter to source mode in the editor (editor have button for this mode) and insert HTML code which offer the Youtube or Vimeo. For example in Youtube click Share then click Embed, then copy and paste HTML code to editor.

I found the source within the editor, and it does makes me be able to paste the original uploaded video embed code, but when I try it with a youtube embedded code it give me just an ‘iframe’ with no video in it…

I’m trying to embed youtube, and or a vimeo video on my page and for some reason I keep getting an error that says “Failed to fetch content for the given URL.” Not sure why it’s happening as I have a bunch of content on there now, but it’s been a while since I’ve done any updates, so maybe I’m doing something wrong? Look like you have problems with autoembed service which is free but have some restrictions. The simplest way to solve it – do not use autoembed features of editor, but insert video how it offers on the Vimeo or on the Youtube.

You can use video is hosted on Vimeo or on Youtube via SX Background Video widget. This will prevent you from downloading problems or problems with browsers compatibility.

I’m not sure that I correctly understood your question, but you can create a clean page, add content to it and give a link to it in the About section.
make sure your about-section has an anchor ID. go to menu: instead of ABOUT being a page, make it a link to the anchor ID.

1. Only via custom CSS if you have coding skills. 2. The loading speed does not differ from other themes with a large number of images. In the theme there are no features that reduce the loading speed. Everything will depend mainly on the optimization of the images you use and their number. 3. Most likely you saw a message from a user who mistakenly thought that a paid plug-in was required. No third-party paid plug-ins for the theme is required. Theme required only free version of Layers (parent theme) and free plugins which can be installed via admin panel. 4. Theme has presets for recreating all demo pages.

Hi there, overall great theme! A few questions for you:
1. For some reason, the text and subtext are not centered correctly when I hover over a work section. I made sure that both of the text lines are centered in the customized area. As you can see the smaller line of text is too far to the left and not centered with the larger text above it. Here’s a screenshot https://imgur.com/a/HcGFf
2. When I attempt to change the background colors in the Skrollex Menu 2 it seems like the top background sections can be changed individually (i.e. Colors R and S) but the below section is just one block of color “Color T”. Is there any way to change the color of each of the bottom menu squares like the top ones? Here’s a screenshot https://i.imgur.com/NsDgYLO.png Also there’s a thin gray line divider on the bottom squares ( in between Capabilities and Contact in my photo) in the menu but there is no divider line for the top section. 3. Is there any way to allow the background video to work on mobile? On other themes when I visit their site on mobile the background video can be played by clicking it rather than replacing it with a static image. On this theme I cannot do this. If you visit this theme site http://demo.az-themes.com/alice/ on desktop you’ll see that there’s a background video that also plays when you visit it on mobile.

3. It is not possible because mobile devices have security restrictions for video. In the mobile browsers is not allowed to start video while user not clicked to play button. Video can’t be autoplayed.

Why can I see it on the bottom half of the menu but not the top half? 3. If you look at the url http://demo.az-themes.com/alice/ example I provided you, it shows how a website can have a background video on desktop and then the exact same video can be coded to allow a user to click and play it on mobile. This prevents the problem that you mentioned.

1. I do not see on the site what is shown in the screenshot. The page styles have been changed.
2. Because top items separated by color, but bottom items have equal colors and separated by line. You can change it only via custom CSS if you have coding skills.
3. Background video displayed under content overlay. Player controls is not accesible. You can just insert video to forefround like it demonstrated in the blog pages or in the portfolio.

I am having issues with the color customizer. Everytime I save the colors an error message says “sorry you do not have access to this page”

You should have permissions to edit theme files. Make sure that you can edit theme files via theme editor in the admin panel.

There is no call of mysql_escape_string in the theme sources. May be your theme is modified.
Hello x40 Support, Using the Aria preset for your Skrollex 2.0 theme, I noticed it’s relatively easy to change the site’s frame color by ajusting the Background A setting under custom colors. I wanted to know if it’s possible to use graphic/image/texture for the border (background A) through CSS or other means? And if so, my 2nd question would be if there is a way to have the background A graphic section with rotating graphics – basically changing/transitioning through several background graphics/textures (through CSS or other means). In the SX Section the backgrounds are animated via javascript. To change this behavior the javascript must be changed. I don’t recommends to do this if you have not a good coding skills and it also will complicate to install updates.
I was wondering if I buy a wordpress website/theme like this one, would I be able to edit it in locally in f.x. dreamweaver?
There is are two versions of Skrollex. HTML Template for $17 and WordPress Theme for $41. HTML version is for HTML coders, WordPress version is for WordPress users. Of course you can edit PHP files in WordPress version also, but this will complicate the installation of updates. Also keep in mind what both versions is not developed for Dreamwaver. WYSIWYG editors like Dreamwaver works without problems only with code wich developed in this editors or with simple HTML code. I recomends to use ordinary text editor with HTML syntax highlighting like Brackets.

Theme have page presets Mary and Suzi with background video. Or just insert widget SX Background Video in the page and use transparent sections.
