can i use this theme in moodle 3.4.2 version do i need to wait untill you port the theme

Hi,
thank you for your interest in Theme Lambda for Moodle.
The theme is already fully compatible with the latest Moodle version 3.4.2 – you don’t have to wait :)

My website [ www.LaoJee.com ] eCoaching is under construction. My Developer is stuck at one stage and we are trying to find an outside help.

I want pictures of Teachers may slowly scroll from right to left. When the picture comes in the Center of the Screen it should enlarge the picture stay for few second and continue slow scroll to left. If anyone clicks to any picture, particular Teacher’s CV should come on the Screen for student to see and select the teacher for study. For example of this picture please see website https://www.vedantu.com/ .

Our under Construction website address is : http://13.229.102.170/moodle/ . For your information we are customizing WWW.Moodle.org which is free open source website made in WP and PHP. We have bought the existing Moodle theme from a third party.

Kindly advise if we have a solution so that we may attach to our existing website to show scrolling pictures similar to Vendantu.com.

Hi,
this is only a general comments section. Please send me an email at

This way I can answer you in more detail.

Thanks. I will open a ticket. I am pretty sure it’s the theme. To edit the course, switched to the default theme. The issue is only there when using this theme. I know, it’s really odd. It’s only on the one course. I have meticulously gone through all the HTML blocks on the page too. It’s a mystery.

Sure – I’ll take a look :)

There is a bug in the theme. It’s a pretty odd one. Only presents itself on some course pages. The is the error in the chrome console:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘append’ of null at Object.M.core.dock.ensureMoveToIconExists (yui_combo.php:1) at c.<anonymous> (yui_combo.php:1) at YUI.<anonymous> (yui_combo.php:99) at Array.forEach (<anonymous>) at Function.m.each.m.forEach (yui_combo.php:10) at p.each (yui_combo.php:99) at Object.M.core.dock.loader.initLoader (yui_combo.php:1) at view.php?id=53:1120 at YUI._notify (yui_combo.php:9) at yui_combo.php:9

We don’t have a developer on staff who can fix it, so we will probably switch to a different theme.

Are you sure that this is theme related? None of the error messages are related to the theme. But you could of course open a ticket at the support center:
https://redpithemes.ticksy.com/
I’ll be happy to assist! :)

Our support has ended for this product. Sorry. It would cost the same to just buy another theme.

You can still open a ticket for a bug report, even if your support is expired.

Dear,

How do I implement the combo box at http://lambda.redpithemes.com/course/index.php?categoryid=3 ??

cannot install theme on my moodle 3.4. I just purchased it. what is this?

Hi,
it may be the case that your download is corrupted. So at first you should download the latest version again at themeforest.
After that, please unzip your download from themeforest. In the folder ‘documentation’ you can find the theme’s doc with detailed installation instructions. You can also use the online documentation: http://redpithemes.com/Documentation/assets/installing.html
It is important that you upload only the file ‘theme-lambda-upload.zip’ from the folder ‘theme’ (separated for Moodle versions 2.5-2.8, 2.9-3.1 and 3.2-3.4). Do not upload the complete downloaded zip file from themeforest.
Please let me know if this solved your issue

Hi,

Presales question, what happend to the theme if there is an update over version 3.4?

Thanks,

Adrian

Hi,
thank you for your interest in Theme Lambda for Moodle.
I am quite proud to say that Theme Lambda is the longest-standing product at themeforest for the Moodle category and so I keep working on the theme to improve it continuously. I will also definitely keep the theme compatible with upcoming Moodle versions.

Hi, I didn’t quite understand the payment methods, do I have to pay 59$/year or it’s a 1 time payment??

Hi,
thank you for your interest in Theme Lambda for Moodle. The license for the theme is a one-time payment, you get free updates for the theme once you made a purchase. So you can download and install an update at any time.

Thank you very much for your reply!

Hello I am having problemes with the lambda theme in Firefox When reloading site, Browser is waiting long time( 3-4s) for” tls handshake with use.fontsawesome.com” during site load.

Hi,
sorry, but I can’t reproduce your issue. For me, the theme’s demo site (running with the latest theme version) is loading fine with Firefox.
So perhaps you should take a look at the following troubleshooting guide regarding Firefox’s “Performing TLS Handshake” Message (at the comments section you can find some more tips and hints):

Hi,

Hi, no problem, I will send you an email! :)

Hi In Lambda theme, when I magnify my browser scale, slideshows are also enlarged. What is your solution? http://dpdpedu.ir/lms/

Hi,
well, that’s the normal behaviour of the browser zoom: With all major browsers, the zoom resizes all elements of the page, not just the text.

Hi, I think that isn’t the normal behaviour of browser zoom. for example, in trending theme when I zoom my browser, Slideshows are not zoomed in.

That’s a special script for this slider. Here a link to the most popular item at Themeforest:
https://avada.theme-fusion.com/full-width-3/
The slideshow is also zooming together with the rest of the page. So though it is possible to keep the slideshow always at a fixed height even with the browser zoom, this not the normal behaviour.

Hi. I have 3 Moodle installations with the Lamba theme and in all cases the same thing happens. In the slide show, only the first image is shown, the rest appears empty and with the icon of not finding the image. Any ideas? Example: http://hefameformacion.centrotiban.es/

Hi,

please verify your Moodle server settings at: “Site administration” > “Server” > “HTTP”. You must have the slash arguments option enabled. This setting is vital for a Moodle installation. Without it, some files may for example not get fetched correctly and this can also affect the slideshow.

Please contact me again and let me know if this solved your issue.

Regards,
eva_pi

Hi. The option Site administration> Server> HTTP> Use arguments ‘slash’ appears blocked “Defined in config.php” and I can not modify it.

Hello. Please, could you tell me if there is a way for showing a popup window with a message with lambda in moodle? Thank you very much for your support

yes, that’s possible. But this is only a general comments section. Please open a ticket at the support center:

:-( I tried, but my support expired. I will look for a solution. Thank you anyway

hi please give me the exact image size for dynamic front slideshow

Hi,
the slider is responsive, but it is set to a fixed height for different viewports. This is necessary because of the headings and captions, which could otherwise not be displayed within the images if they get to small in mobile view. With that, the slider adapts the images to your screen resolution and the above mentioned fixed height, but the slider will work with any image size. The images used at the demo site are btw 1800px x 635px, but I don’t think that there is any optimal image size – the images always have to adapt to different screen resolutions.

Hi team, I went to your demo to check out the theme, is it possible to have a login account to check how it looks like? Thanks

Hi,

sorry, but I don’t plan to provide access data for an admin or teacher role (with a student role you won’t see any backend settings options). As a teacher, you could delete contents or change the theme for the courses of the demo site. Even if I backup the site, there might be visitors who watch the demo in this state. I hope for your understanding… But every course in the demo site is open for guest access, so you can get quite a good impression of how a course will look like. If you want to know how the theme can get customized and how the theme options are set up, you can take a look at the online documentation: http://redpithemes.com/Documentation/assets/index.html

The theme follows the Moodle standards and so of course all admin settings, activity modules and the course creation will work in the way you are used to.

When you make compatibility for Moodle 3.4?

Hi, the current theme version will already work fine, but the upcoming update will also be published during this week :)

How do I install the theme if the maximum file upload size is 5MB and the theme is 45MB size?

Hi,

at first, please unzip your download from themeforest. In the folder ‘documentation’ you can find the theme’s doc with detailed installation instructions. You can also use the online documentation: http://redpithemes.com/Documentation/assets/installing.html

It is important that you upload only the file ‘theme-lambda-upload.zip’ from the folder ‘theme’ (separated for different Moodle versions). Do not upload the complete downloaded zip file from themeforest.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

Does Lambda support Alerts/Announcements? (eg Site will be down next week). Many Moodle themes include this facility. Does Lambda?

thanks!

Hi,
actually, I don’t think that site announcements should be handled by the theme. There are many ways to display your announcements with the Moodle core:
  • You can add a new content row to your Moodle frontpage
  • At the “Additional HTML” settings, Moodle allows to add add links and other information to the top (or bottom) of your Mooodle site. With this approach, you can also add dismissable alerts.
  • Last but not least: You could use the Moodle core site announcements.
