Good day, I’m looking for a theme that can change all traces of “university/school” from moodle. Such as “grades”, “teacher” and the likes of it. We want to use the platform for customers to upload, and download files from a service (designs) and Chat/messsaging directly with the assigned designer. Can I do that with this theme?

Hi,
thank you for your interest in “Lambda – Responsive Moodle Theme”.
This is a somewhat unusual purpose for a learning management system, but yes: It is definitely possible!

Hello, ask pre sale… the theme i can use in many sites ? or only can use in one site the theme ?

Hi,
thank you for your interest in “Lambda – Responsive Moodle Theme”.
Your question about the number of necessary licences depends on the infrastructure of your Moodle installations. The regular license is for “use in a single end product”.
So if all of your Moodle installations are subdomains which are related to a single main domain, then it is allowed to use the same theme with one single license. Otherwise, if each of your Moodle sites has to be considered as a single website, you’ll need a (regular) license per domain.

Thanks for the feedback, then i can use in a one domain example.cl and use in subdomains example.cl/project … its ok ??

Well, not necessarily: If all of your Moodle installations are subdomains which are related to a single main domain, then it is allowed to use the same theme with one single license. Otherwise, if each of your subdomains contains a Moodle site which has to be considered as a single website, you’ll need a (regular) license per domain.

Hello there. My institution is using the Lamda theme and we would very much like to continue with it but have some timing pressures which is affecting the project plan for adopting Moodle 4.1. I note in your response to another user that you are working to update the theme to use all the Moodle 4.1 features like the collapsible block drawer and that you had intended for the new version of the Lamda theme to drop last December. As noted timelines are very tight for us, and I am wondering if you are closer to knowing when the Lamda theme update for Moodle 4.1 will be released?

Many thanks.

Hi,
the current theme version is already compatible with Moodle 4.1. Unfortunately ThemeForest doesn’t provide a tag for the latest Moodle version yet…
So all I could do is to add a banner at the item’s large preview image regarding the compatibility.

Hi Eva_pi

I am running moodle 4.1 and have installed the latest upgrade of January 3.

When I try to open an extension called Moodle adminer, wich allows me to browse the database the following error appears:

“first.js:4722 Uncaught TypeError: $(...).modal is not a function”

Do you know wich may be the reason?

Thanks and regards. Tomas.

Hi,
are you sure that this is theme related? The Moodle core file first.ja bundles all AMD modules. Please try and temporarily switch to the Moodle core theme “Boost” to see if there are any differences. Please let me know if you get any different results with one of the Moodle core themes. You can send me a message via the contact form at my ThemeForest profile page:

Hi. We purchased and installed the theme to our Moodle 4.0.5 yesterday. We are using a tile format for course content. When I log in as admin, I can view the videos inserted into a page activity, but the students can’t view them. The pop-up window opens to start the video but it is empty. Also, I tried the label activity to insert the video, but it’s also not showing the video on the course page. It shows an empty section. Please help. Thank you.

Hi again. I see it’s only happening for Vimeo videos. Would you please guide me on how to insert a Vimeo video in a page activity? *Correction: the pop-up window opens and shows an empty page. Also, I tried the label activity to insert the video, but same issue. It’s not displaying the video. Please help. Thank you.

Hi,
I have just replied to your email.

Issue in setting up template in Database activity. ‘Add Entry Template’ dropdown does not work in Moodle 4.1. Clicking the button shows the dropdown menus but are not selectable. After the first click the button is disabled. Need urgent solution

With Moodle 4.1, “Add entry” is a normal button, it does not have a dropdown menu. But this is only a general comments section. Please send me a message via the contact form at my ThemeForest profile page: https://themeforest.net/user/eva_pi
This way I can answer you in more detail. Please note that the contact form will only show up if you are logged in at ThemeForest.

Good morning, I have a general enquiry, I can see that Lambda is available for Moodle 4.0/4.1 however, the new functionality of the Course Index and Block Drawer doesn’t seem to be available. Can you let me know if you are looking to make Lambda compatible with those new features or is Lambda going to stay as it is? Many thanks and I look forward to your response.

Lambda already includes all features of Moodle 4.0, I think you are referring to certain features of the Moodle core “Boost” theme which are not yet implemented in Lambda.
I am quite proud to say that Lambda is the longest-standing product at themeforest for the Moodle category. It was released in 2014. It already had some important updates. It runs stable and reliable and I will definitely keep it compatible with upcoming new Moodle versions. But with that, Lambda is of course not a simple child theme of “Boost”. A theme will always have a different approach for the UI and also for certain design decisions. The Moodle 4 core theme “Classic” also uses a different UI. The common new Moodle 4 features are of course already included in Lambda: The new navigation with the split between the “My courses” tab and the dashboard (including the deadlines with an improved timeline), the new course editing with drag&drop features, color-coded icons to help identify the function of each course activity, question bank improvements…
With the release of Moodle 4.1 as an LTS (Long Term Support) version, the changed UX can be seen as the new standard. Of course I will continue to develop and improve Lambda according to the features of the new Moodle versions. For example, I will definitely include the new course index of the “Boost” theme with the next major update of Lambda.

good morning and thank you for your detailed response and for confirming your roadmap plans for incorporating the M4.1 Course Index feature into Lambda that is great.

Can you confirm if you are going to add the new collapsible block drawer into Lambda as well?

Are you able to share when the next major release of Lambda is likely to be?

Apologies for all of the questions, we have several customers who love using Lambda but are concerned that the M4.1 features were not being incorporated and therefore meant they’d have to look for an alternative.

I am encouraged by your comment that these features are being added and we look forward to hearing from you and the next major release.

Kind regards

Yes, the collapsible block drawer will also be included.
I was hoping to have the update ready by the end of this year, but it will likely take until January.

a CSS issue. Buttons are not aligned horizontally correctly. The screenshot is from Database activity edit screen. https://ibb.co/y8H83LG

Thank you for reporting this issues. Of course this will be fixed with the next update.

does it multi-language ?

Hi,
thank you for your interest in “Lambda – Responsive Moodle Theme”.
Lambda offers a full multi-language support. You can of course also add a language menu for your users.

Hi, I’ve recently upgraded my Moodle to version 4.0.4, including the latest Lambda theme. When I try to view past assignments, I receive the following error. How do I resolve this until the next version is released?

Exception – Argument 1 passed to mod_assign\output\renderer::render_assign_header() must be an instance of mod_assign\output\assign_header, instance of assign_header given, called in [dirroot]/lib/outputrenderers.php on line 491

That’s strange…

Hi. How to freeze column with student names in Grader report?

Hi,
which Moodle-Version are you using? Is this a pre-sale question? Your account is not showing you as an existing customer. Please email me from your account that you used to purchase the theme so that I can help – thanks!

Hi. Did button in categories to create new course dissapear?

Hi,
which Moodle-Version are you using? Is this a pre-sale question? Your account is not showing you as an existing customer. Please email us from your account that you used to purchase the theme so that we can help – thanks!

I’ve found out you have moved it to More menu. Earlier ‘add new course’ button was directly on a page.

hello: 1- do you offer from end course builder ?

2- can hide a course if it became old?

3- can admin block an instructor with his courses, and keep them in students dashboard?

4- can prevent instructor from deleting a course if some one enrolled it ? if yes for all I will purchase it thank you

Hi,
thank you for your interest in “Lambda – Responsive Moodle Theme”.
Regarding your questions:
1) Yes, the course creation is very intuitive. There is a settings page which defines general options for the course (start/end date, course format). Everything else is via front end: For example, to add files such as documents or presentations, just drag and drop them from your desktop.
2) Yes, that’s possible.
3) Yes: An admin can block an instructor and keep the courses for the students.
4) By default, an instructor (“teacher” role) cannot delete a course. An instructor can only hide a course or set it as inactive. It requires at least a “manager” role to permanently delete a course.

According to your answer, the options I need on my website are all available in your theme, due to this, I am considering to buy your theme. On the other hand, I have some concerns of probable conflicts or bugs. So, I need a confirmation that you can grant a full refund in case I habe any problem using your theme or in case any of these options was not applicable. Please confirm the possibility of refund to be able to purchase your theme. Thank you in advance for your help.

Here you can find the refund policy at envato market:
https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policy
I am only the author of the theme – I do not own envato market and I am not responsible for the refund rules. I cannot give you a general guarantee of a refund just because you have “any problem using your theme”.
But I am quite proud to say that Lambda is the longest-standing product at themeforest for the Moodle category. It already had some important updates. It runs stable and reliable. I can also assure you that the features you have requested will work.

I think you need to update the theme, as with the latest Moodle using the theme within the course it will not show the activities and for the time being I have changed to the default theme in one of my sites that I have updated the Moodle.

Hi,
please make sure that you are using the latest theme version. It’s fully compatible with Moodle 4.0 and of course the activities are showing up correctly.

I have recently changed the server and my domain has been changed too, however as I said the theme is not working on this new server do I need to re-register my site with you to make the theme work? Or is the problem something else? I have the latest Moodle and you latest theme but as I said the course elements do not shows, and when I change to other theme all works fine.

That sounds strange…

I have some queries regarding theme. I had filled the form 2-3 times at https://themeforest.net/user/eva_pi But no reply or acknowledgement was received. Kindly let me know the support email address or proper link to share my queries.

Hi,
please send me your email address, I will contact you directly via mail.

Is there any new option to be able to create html blocks above the quiz questions?

Hi,
you can use the question type “description” to place your own custom content above any quiz question.

thanks for the advice, but it is not feasible… I have each question paginated, so I would have to add 1 description for each one, and there are thousands. The fastest would be an html block that could be centered on the pages, I think it would be a good improvement to the theme ;)

Oh, I see…
I am already planning to integrate more block positions for Lambda – so this will actually be possible in the future! :)

Hello, please help me, how can i have this Collapsible Sidebar Navigation sliding panel like in your demo https://prnt.sc/Ja1HTbxf0PLj

You can activate this block layout at the theme’s “Moodle Blocks” settings page:
http://redpithemes.com/Documentation/assets/options_blocks.html

Hello, we have Lambda theme installed with Moodle 4.0. However we cannot see the new navigation bar of moodle 4.0 we are still seeing the lateral bar navigation.

Can you please confirm if this is because of the theme?

Thanks a lot in advance :) Kind regards

Hi there, unfortunately the support platform is not sending the form at the moment so I hope to get some support here…

Currently working to set up a moodle with the Lambda theme. A thing that is missing for me is an indicator which main menu item is active (i.e. the yellow menu item background always stays on the first item). Unfortunately it is not just a CSS issue but the corresponding active menu item even does not have an active class. Is that on purpose, has it just been forgotten or is it an error somehow?

I have just replied to your ticket.
