We are ready to move from 4.01 to 4.1 but judging from the above post there seems to be some problems. What is the correct way to upgrade? Any instructions?

Hi,

You can go to the Ken > Control Panel > Update > Click on the Update button and wait until it finishes.

Hi, just updated to 4.1. But where is the VC plug in? I can’t find it in the installation files (i.e “js_composer_theme”). I don’t do automatic installation.

Hi there. Just a quick pre-sales question. In the Photographer demo > https://demos.artbees.net/ken/photography/ – how is the header image done? is it just a basic a gallery item or do you have to do it some other way? Is it possible to have a slide show with say 5 items or does that have to be done in something like Layer Slider? Very nice template. Thanks for your help :)

And it’s possible to use the Slider instead.

In the Mobile Menu Version: …. the Menu Folder you have to click te menu arrow to come to the url. Is it possible that the hole box is the clickable ? Other Themes like Avade etc there is allways the total box in the Mobile Menu is clickable. I bought this Theme 2 times but the constumer hate this.

I read that “The Ken” is compatible with Contact form.
How can I give “contact form” the styles of “The Ken” as “MODERN CONTACT FORM”, I can not find news in the guide guide.

1. The compatible means that plugin will work fine when the Ken theme is activating, if not, it will have the problem like freeze the site, page broken..

2. The Message sent via the Contact Form shortcode will be sent to your email.

yes, they arrive via email, but I would like to record messages in Wp.
However, I am rebuilding the form with CF7, in your form missing the chek for the privacy that is required.
Can you tell me that capcha you use?
I would like to integrate it in the new form.

I’ve been informed by Envato Market Support that Artbees will be releasing an update (4.1) by no later than January 24th. I sincerely hope they include an updated version of WPBakery’s Visual Composer, which seems to be the most serious issue.

It’s disappointing that we all had to wait so long for this update, and worse, that I had to go to Envato to get Artbees to follow through on their guarantee to provide a working theme for the money we spent, and also because I’ve generally been very happy with Artbees over the last couple years. TheKen is one of my favorite themes and it’s been incredibly irritating to not be able to update my company website effectively for months. Glad this is finally being resolved.

Hi. I was proceeding with the necessary updates: from wp 4.4.13 to wp 4.8, at the end it was a fatal error

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare is_ssl() (previously declared in /web/htdocs/www.biancabassi.it/home/wp-includes/load.php:968) in /web/htdocs/www.biancabassi.it/home/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3976

The theme in use is ken 3.1.1, I would have updated after updating wp, but the site is no longer visible, the fatal error message appears … how can I fix to update wp (the version in use in the last backup is 4.4.13) and continue with the rest (theme update and plugin) without having fatal error messages? As far as I see, this error comes from your Wordpress system itself (wp-includes folder) rather come from the theme side.

Please kindly recheck it and ask your Server provider to assist on this.

The version of WPBakery that comes with THEKEN is 5.1.1 and the latest version of WPBakery for everyone else is 5.4.5. When are we going to get this update? It’s been a ridiculously long time since you’ve updated this plugin for the theme.
