Hi. I have a problem with the map section, it is configured in a way but on the web it marks a different address. I have two addresses configured, one in Buenos Aires, Argentina. And another one in Miami. The one in Buenos Aires marks it well but the one in Miami makes it in Mountain View.
This is the configuration on maps settings: https://k50.kn3.net/DAD87D4F0.png https://k50.kn3.net/A3EA2464E.png And this is what he shows me on the web: https://k50.kn3.net/AFE8291C1.pngI would really appreciate your help. Thank you
Hi,
First of all, please ensure that you’ve updated both Overlap theme and Wyde Core plugin to the latest update, you will find the details here: https://themeforest.net/item/overlap-high-performance-wordpress-theme/15344205#item-description__update-log
If they are up-to-date but it still doesn’t work. Try to remove that map element from the page first. Then, add a new one and set the address and marker again to see if it works.
If this couldn’t fix the problem, please give me your WordPress admin login details. You can send a private message in the contact form here: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact

There may be a plugin conflict on your site. If you have the third party plugins, try to deactivate them to see if it works.
If it still doesn’t work, please provide me your WordPress admin login details so I can take a better look. You can send a private message in the contact form here: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Hello, I can’t install demo content, I don’t find Overlap Demo Content plugin Wher can I find your docuentation ? Thanks Diane
Go to your Downloads tab on ThemeForest: https://themeforest.net/downloads
Find the Overlap theme, download “All files & documentation”. Then, extract the zip file, you will see all package contents and our documentation inside there.
For navigation, I have my logo image heights set to 320px x 79px. On desktop it looks great. On mobile, the image seems to be too large (part of it gets cut off on the right side of the screen), but it’s fine once you start scrolling.
Am I doing something wrong?
.mobile-nav #header-logo img {
max-height: 50%;
}
And here’s to set the logo height when scrolling:
.mobile-nav #header.w-fixed #header-logo img {
max-height: 50%;
}
You can change from 50% to greater if you’d like to make it bigger.
THANK YOU!
You’re welcome
Good morning, first of all I wanted to thank you for the beauty and simplicity of the theme. I wanted then, if possible, to ask a question. I would need to enter the phone number and address in the information in the team member section. There is a way to make it happen. I apologize for the trouble. Thanks again, I hope for help, it’s really very important.
Simona
I’m sorry but the phone number and address are not available in the member input fields. You will need to add them in the Description section instead.
Hello, Interested in purchasing this theme Overlap. I was wondering if on the home page with slider, if it’s possible to make easy a bordered home page ? Thank you, Aurelie
The Overlap theme doesn’t have borders around page, you can only add borders to the main slider at the top of the page but the whole page.
If you’re looking for a bordered home page like this one: https://wydethemes.com/aoraki/home/home-white-border/
I would recommend you to check out our new theme called Aoraki : https://wydethemes.com/aoraki
It includes the main features of the Overlap theme and comes with more features and demos including page borders as you can see here: https://wydethemes.com/aoraki/home/home-white-border/
If it’s possible to add borders to the main slider, it’s good ! Thanks for your kindness !
Sure, you can set the borders to the slider directly and can also set the paddings to the row container of the slider so you will have the gap around the slider.
Hello,
I was wondering how I would go about displaying my instagram feed on the site?
thanks, Anithra
I’m sorry but the Instagram Feed is not available in the current version of the theme. We will add it in the future.
However, if it show up in the Widgets section on your site. It might be a bug of the theme because this theme actually doesn’t support it.
hi is it possible to put a sticky “div” in any pages? can you tell me how to? thanks!
Here’s a quick guide to put it into individual page: 1. Add a Raw HTML element to the page, and put your HTML code there.
2. Add your custom CSS to the Custom CSS settings in the Page Settings window. Click on the gear icon in the right corner of the Visual Composer toolbar to open the Page Settings window, see the picture below:
And here’s to add it to all pages:
1. If your site displays a footer page as footer content, you can add your HTML code to the Footer page directly. You can set the Footer page in Theme Options -> Footer -> Footer Content -> Page.
Or add it directly to Theme Options -> Advanced -> Body Content.
2. Add your custom CSS to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS.
hi, I tried the steps with the following code but it does not work my browser is chrome and internet explorer
div.sticky { position: -webkit-sticky; position: sticky; top: 0; padding: 5px; background-color: #cae8ca; border: 2px solid #4CAF50; }
&
I am sticky!PS i put it inside a row element.
I’m sorry, it seems like it won’t work when you add it inside the Visual Composer row and the main content.
So, you will need to add your HTML code in Theme Options -> Advanced -> Body Content instead.
Also, try to use the CSS below to see if it works:
div.sticky {
position: fixed;
z-index: 9999;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
right: 0;
padding: 5px;
background-color: #cae8ca;
border: 2px solid #4CAF50;
}
I found the trick. used the text block element then use the text tab it works
Great job! Happy to hear that you’ve figured it out
For the overlap theme, I’m having difficulty getting excerpts on the overlay blog page and the ability to comment to display on the single blog pages. I’ve made my selections in theme options but do not see either actually displayed. (I can see existing comments, but there is no comment box to add new comments)
The Blog options in Theme Options are only available for default Posts page. Please ensure that you’ve set your blog page as Posts page.
To set the Posts page, go to Settings -> Reading, choose your blog page for “Posts page”.
Once you set your blog page as Posts page, you don’t need to add any content to that page. If there is a Blog Posts element in that page, you will need to remove it.
By default, you should see the comments and be able to add new comments. If there is no comment box on your single post page, please ensure that you’ve enabled the comments in the “Discussion” box: https://codex.wordpress.org/Comments_in_WordPress#Turning_on_Comments_for_a_Single_Post_or_Page
If it still doesn’t work, try to check the Discussion settings, you can find more here: http://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/comment/
I just checked out your site, everything seems to work fine on my end.
It seems like this issue happens only when you logged in as admin. That means, there may be some plugins on your site causing this problem. Try to deactivate those plugins one by one to find the problematic plugin.
Hi, I have downloaded and installed the theme on my wordpress sight but;
1. I am not seeing any of the smart theme options for page layouts 2. I am unable to find the ‘overlap demo content’ plug-in anywhere
I was wondering If I have done something wrong in terms of uploading?
thanks, Anithra
Hi,
1. Please ensure that you have installed and activated Wyde Core and other bundled plugins. After you install the theme, you will see a notification message to install bundled plugins, click on the link in that message to install them.
2. The Overlap Demo Content plugin is included in the main download package. To download the main package, you will need to choose “All files & documentation” in the Downloads tab. After you extract the zip file, you will see the file “overlap-demo-content.zip” in the folder “Demo Content”. You can find more details on how to import demo content in our documentation that’s also included in the main package.
Hello,
I installed the them and activate all the plugins correctly but I have some problems to install the overlap-demo-content.zip. Please how could I fix it?
It might be a server configuration limits issue. If your web server has the low PHP limits, it won’t allow you to upload a big file. Please ensure that you’ve increased the PHP limits on your web server to the minimum as provided in our documentation. You can find more on how to increase the PHP limits in “2. Create or Edit an existing PHP.INI file” on this page: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-increase-the-maximum-file-upload-size-in-wordpress/
Also, you can install the plugin called PHP Settings ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/php-settings/ ) to check the current settings of your site.
Thank you, I forgot to mention that I installed wordpress locally, does it change something?
So, you will need to edit the file php.ini that’s included in the PHP installation folder on your local web server. Increase the settings to the minimum values as follows:
max_execution_time = 300 memory_limit = 128M post_max_size = 32M upload_max_filesize = 32M max_input_vars = 5000
Hi!
I’m trying to upload this beautiful theme via my WordPress site and install has failed. WP says the CSS style sheet. Please help!
You will need to extract the zip file first, so you will find the theme file overlap.zip inside there, see more details here: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821510
Also, you can find the instructions on how to install the theme in our documentation that’s included in the package.
Hi. I have portfolio with view overlap and fourth layout and I want to put two video in one item. How can I do this? Thank you
To add two or more videos, you will need to add them to the portfolio details section by using a Video Player from Visual Composer. If it is not active on portfolio post, you can enable it in WPBakery Page Builder -> Role Manager, choose Custom for Post types and select “wyde_portfolio” so you will be able to build portfolio content by Visual Composer.
Hey, whenever I have trouble accessing protfolio single pages, whenever I click on a project an 404 error page pops up. What should I do? http://www.mashanator.eu/portfolio/
Try to update the permalink settings to refresh the permalink rewrite rules to see if it works. Go to Settings -> Permalinks, select “Post name” and save changes.
Hi. I don’t know a lot about coding. I have set my site up, and it is great! I am using the ‘Creative Agency’ theme. However, I cannot figure out how to change the image at the top of the ‘Blog Overlay’, ‘Services’, and ‘Contact’ pages. I want to add my own images and words at the top of these pages. I cannot find the setting anywhere. Please help.
When you edit those pages, you will see the Overlap Options box at the bottom of the page edit screen. Select the “Title Area” tab to change the Background Image.
Thank you so much for the very swift reply!! In my sections at the bottom (Page, Header, Title Area, Background, Footer), they are all blank and do not have any thing in them when I expand them or click on them. Is there some other way to update it? And/Or, is there something else that might be wrong to make these options be blank/empty?
There may be a plugin conflict on your site. If you have any other plugins, try to deactivate them to see if it works.
Also, I would recommend you to update the theme and all bundled plugins to the latest update to make sure they will be compatible with the new update of WordPress and other plugins. You can find more details in the changelog: https://themeforest.net/item/overlap-high-performance-wordpress-theme/15344205#item-description__update-log
If it doesn’t work, please give me your WordPress admin login details. You can send a private message in the contact form here: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Thank you so much. This worked. If it helps others, the plug in that caused it to stop working was “CMB2 (MGT Modified)”. I would not have thought to do this. Thank you so much for your swift help!!
Thank you for your response! The Overlap theme and some bundled plugins also include CMB2 so you don’t need to install it anymore.
Hello there,
Hope this finds you well.
I had a questions – In the Portfolio 8, single portfolio page, type, is it possible to have the header as a full screen instead of the slider? I do know there is a full slider option but that has the sidebar in the bottom.
Do let me know how can this be done.
Thanks! Dhriti
This theme comes with 5 different layouts for the single portfolio as you can see in our demo site.
To have the full screen header, I would recommend you to choose the “Gallery” layout for the portfolio post: https://wydethemes.com/overlap/portfolio-item/portfolio-12/
If you’d like to replace the slider with the full screen image, you will need to edit the portfolio template file in your child theme. Copy the template file from the Overlap theme “wp-content/themes/overlap/templates/portfolio/single-slider.php” to your child theme “wp-content/themes/overlap-child-theme/templates/portfolio/single-slider.php” and then edit that file to replace the media container (“post-media”) with the one from the gallery layout, and edit it to suit your needs.
So I already tried that. In the single-gallery page (portfolio 12) I moved the page description on top of the page title area and created the portfolio folder in the child theme and uploaded the page there to get the format that I am looking for but it doesn’t seem to be working.
Any suggestions?
Rest the entire themes seems to be working perfectly
Please ensure that the Overlap Child theme is installed and activated so your custom template from the child theme will override the one from the Overlap theme.
Yes that child theme is already installed and activated
Make sure that you put the template file to the correctly path. If you’re using the Gallery layout, you will need to edit the template file “wp-content/themes/overlap-child-theme/templates/portfolio/single-gallery.php” in your child theme.
If you did but it still doesn’t work, please provide me your WordPress admin login details so I can take a better look. You can send a private message in the contact form here: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
I figured it out, got it to work! Thank you so much for the quick responses
Hi,
Yesterday I purchase the Overlap theme for Wordpress. Since then I have been having trouble with 2 plugins the Slider Revolution and WPBakery Visual Composer. The installation for these plugins keep failing every time I try to install them to WP. What should I do to successfully install them?
Thanks
If you have installed them by using Bulk Install button, try to install them one by one to see if it works.
Also, if you have any other plugins on your site, I would recommend you to deactivate them first.
If it still doesn’t work, please give me your WordPress admin login details, you can send a private message in the contact form: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
Hi, I deactivated the plugin that were activated and still wouldnt install. I sent you a private message
Thank you for your message, I just replied directly to your email!
Hi, I have a hard time finding the header/main navigation in the overlaps’ css.
Can you help me change the global(mobile and pc) font-size and weight of the header/main navigation also if I plan to change the font.
You can change the font size and weight including other font styles of the main navigation in Theme Options -> Typography -> Primary Menu.
thanks how about in sub menus
i think it does not apply to mobile? when I changed the font size.
Of course, the font settings in Theme Options won’t change the font of sub menu and mobile menu because they use different size and weight from the main menu.
To change the font of the sub menu, you will need to add custom CSS below to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS:
.dropdown-nav ul ul li > a {
font-size: 16px;
font-weight: 600;
}
And here’s custom CSS to change the font size of mobile menu:
.vertical-menu li a,
.vertical-menu .back-to-parent span {
font-size: 16px;
}
thank you very much for your patience and on answering all of my queries,
another questions.
1. can you instruct me on how to remove collapsible mobile sub menus ? 2. from the header menu how can i make the header like this, that when you hover from one of the menu the background of the single list will change its color.
site reference: http://apadphil.com/
3. is there a downloadable slider template that looks like from one of the above reference site.
thank you very much!
1. I’m sorry but both mobile menu and desktop menu display the same menu items from the Primary Menu. If your desktop menu have sub menus, the mobile menu will have too.
If you’d like to remove collapsible sub menus on mobile, you will need to remove the sub menus from the Primary Menu in Appearance -> Menus.
2. You will need to add custom CSS to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS to set the background color to the menu items when you hover. Try the sample CSS snippets below:
#top-nav .top-menu {
top: 0;
margin-top: 0;
}
.dropdown-nav > ul > li > a {
line-height: 80px;
}
.dropdown-nav > ul > li > a:hover {
color: #ffffff;
background-color: #bf583b;
}
3. You can find it here: https://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/
Select “Carousel” so you will see “Classic Carousel”.
