I’m sorry if these questions have been already posted here but I couldn’t fin any answer…
1- How can I change the font in the meta of blog posts /portfolio (especially the title but also the catergory)? Same question for the nectar recent post widget in sidebar, I don’t know where I can change the font of latest posts titles…
2- We can change the color of category only under the Material skin, is this right? Why that’s a shame 
3- My site is in French, how can I change the text for automatic meta on blog posts like “read more” (button text) or “in” (reference to category) or “by” (reference to the author of the post)?

1. You can use the “heading 3” field in the Salient options panel > typography > general HTML elements tab for the Portfolio style you’re using and the “Sidear, Carousel & Nectar Button Header Font” field in typography > nectar specific elements tab for the blog
2. Can you provide a screenshot of what text you’re referring to with: “color of category only under the Material skin”
3. What are you trying to open it in? There’s many translation plugins such as loco translate, WPML etc that can open it https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/beginners

Hey 19theagency, this appears to be happening as a css glitch from the button itself having an animation set – could you try removing that animation and instead set it on the parent column to test?

Hello there! I purchased this theme nearly two years ago and tried to use it but the portfolio just does not work the way I want it to. I want it to function as a simple gallery (I have more than 300 items so the gallery just does not work because it loads very very slow). When I click on an item, it should open the image in a lightbox. As of now, I can only get it to open as a completely new link despite the lightbox checkbox being selected. I would like no effects on hover while IN the gallery. I was wondering if there is any way to make this happen, am I missing something in settings I should change?

Hello, your ticksy page hasn’t been loading for me for the last couple of hours so I’ll ask my question here.
I want to put Morphtext (http://morphext.fyianlai.com/) in my Salient website. Could you guide me on how I can import the external css and js? Also, would I need to import Animate.css (http://daneden.github.io/animate.css/) as well? Animate.css is a requisite for Morphtext.

Are you still having trouble with the support forum now? You can use wp_enqueue_style and wp_enqueue_script in a child theme functions.php to add your custom scripts/stylesheets to the theme

I’ve been using this theme for a few years. I’ve never had a problem changing or updating the logo via the salient options / Logo & Navigation. But now, when I upload a new logo, the site still points at and displays the old logo.
It’s been a while since I’ve had to update the logo. Maybe I’ve forgotten a step.
Update: It has been a while. I didn’t update the logo in the transparency section of the header navigation settings.

@ThemeNectar – I noticed that menus won’t import using the standard WordPress Importer tool via the WP-CLI while Salient is the active theme because of a referrer check on line 1312 of salient/functions.php. I was able to fix mine by changing it to:

Hopefully that can get included in the next release.

You cannot run an ecom business with all this bloat. We have tried for months to make your theme work, but it is just so inefficient.
2. After a year they prevent you from posting in the forum unless you pay for support! This is not something specific to Salient, but a rule imposed by ThemeForest. You get a certain number of months with free support and then following that period, you can optionally buy additional support time if needed. You’re actually always allowed to post comments directly on our ThemeForest page whether you’re past your support period or haven’t purchased the theme yet. 3. Currently the theme doesn’t even support the latest version of Woocommerce, and it’s been 3 months already, and still no theme updates. The new version of WooCommerce was released a week ago, and we’re releasing an update this week (which we’ve been actively passing the beta version of to users).
You had a warning up a couple of days ago that was dated from November about the theme not being compatible. I assumed this was the cause of the PHP bug that we have had for a few weeks now.

The demo you’ve shown a report for currently has caching and minifcation disabled for testing, which you can see directly in the graph of where the scores are coming from when looking at the report. However, if you check another ecommerce demo such as “Buisness” that has caching and minifcation on, you’ll see a different story:

52 requests is not optimized! The way the theme is coded makes concating a very tricky process, so I understand why you are left with so many requests. As a side note, its interesting that this theme doesn’t have the injected inline header CSS. The same CSS that I have asked in the past how to remove, and you said couldn’t be.
And no, the bug is not the woocommerce one. If there is no support process for notifying bugs after 1 year, then so be it. It’s your theme, and we are moving to an efficient one.

It looks like a third party plugin you have active may be loading a script that’s interring with the AJAX page transitions you have active. To solve this without having to deactivate your plugin, simply go to the Salient options panel > page transitions tab and change your “Animated Transition Method” to “standard”

You can add a nectar slider to your page by the element inside of the page builder. After you add it, you can configure it by using its element settings to be fullscreen, parallax enabled etc.
ThemeNectar, thanks for the fast response. So I’ve done that. Basically I’ve added two slides to both the Home and Nectar Slider. I used Visual Composer to put it into the homepage but nothing actually appears.

strange glitch here – whenever I update an element in visual composer on the back end, the page automatically scrolls down to the very bottom of the page. A minor hassle, but maybe one you’ve come across before?

You just need to update your version of the Salient VC to the current (5.2.4) older versions will show this issue when on WP 4.9+. Is it possible to adjust the image size when its imported on the body of a post? Now I get all on medium size, would like it to be large.
Second, once clicking on add link, I get a small pop-up window, then I need to click on the settings button to open the edit link window, can this be done by default? If not can it be set by default all links to open in a new window?

2. On the previous version of salient once clicking on the link button, the full edit link window was opened, now its only the compact window to add the url, can this be changed as it was before? This will avoid needing to click on the settings button.

Unfortunately custom CSS couldn’t handle this – you’d need to edit the header.php file at the section where that’s called ($options[‘google-analytics’]) in order to conditionally exclude it based on the page

Hi ThemeNectar !!! On Image Grid Style Gallery with style set to Meta below thumb w/ links on hover. When link is clicked the larger image opens without arrows or close button on desktop Chrome and Firefox. But works great on iOS???

I was wondering why the plugin Yoast SEO can’t find any words in the seo-panel on our portfolio items? It’s says there is no words on the page, but we have VC text blocks everywhere else and the plugin finds them on the other pages. Do I have to contact yoast or is this something with visual composer?

by default Yoast doesn’t search custom metaboxes for page content insights, and the page builder instance is run on a custom field in the portfolio post type. (The main editor is reserved for the sidebar area when not using the “Full Width Portfolio Item Layout” option). As of now I don’t believe there’s any option within Yoast to tell it to search alternative metaboxes, but a plugin exists to add this functionality in (though it requires custom integration) https://metabox.io/plugins/meta-box-yoast-seo/Cheers
Hi, I LOVE Salient – so thanks! Just one quick question: I’m trying to use Jetpack Tiled Galleries and Carousel. But for some reason, both the Jetpack Carousel and the Salient theme lightbox are popping up, creating the problem of a double lightbox. How can I fix this so that the theme lightbox isn’t used when Jetpack Carousel is used for a gallery?
NOTE: I played with the theme settings, and the Jetpack Carousel lightbox will NOT work if the box is ticked for “Auto Lightbox Image Links” OR if “Theme Lightbox” is set to “None” in Salient theme settings.

Ok, thanks. I updated the theme to the new version (8.5.4), but now lightbox doesn’t open at all…so I’m not getting a double-lightbox problem, but I’m also not getting the Jetpack Carousel…no lightbox is working now
What am I missing? What needs to change?

And I’ve tried every variation with the Theme Options Lightbox settings (from unchecking the box for “Auto Lightbox Image Links” to changing the “Theme Lightbox” selection between Magnific to fancyBox3 to None…all different combinations. So there must be something else. What fixed this problem for you?
(Btw – I have deactivated all plugins except for Salient VC and Jetpack to make sure it’s not another plugin conflict. And I have tested in an incognito window to make sure that it’s not a browser cache or cookies issue.)
