Max, i think I found the reason why the icons disappear.
I changed the URL from “andre.klose.com” to “www.andreklose.com”. When I change it back, icons are back.
So what I have to do in order to have www.andreklose.com and see the social icons.
Thx, ANdré

Hi, I’m seeing the same problem from google search console as another user reported 19 days ago (Max). Missing: author Missing: entry-title Missing: updated Do you know when this is going to be fixed?
Hey, whiteyaction!
We were working on the update yesterday and it’s almost ready. The updated theme with schemas for Google Search will be coming tommorow.
I will notify you about when theme will be ready for download.
Max
Microformats are added in theme and uploaded @ ThemeForest.
You can download the updated version (6.1003).
Great thanks! Is downloading and renaming the existing theme folder the best way to update?
Yes, you can replace the existing theme folder.
The customizer settings will be saved.
Hi, I’ve been having issues with the Instagram plugin. I waited overnight for it to cache out and reinstalled so now it’s pulling all the posts- but now it shows at the top and bottom of the page. I only want it on the bottom.
thanks!
https://www.slipperyotters.com/Hey, slipperyotters!
To remove the top Instagram just go to Appearance – Customize – Header – Instagram Username and remove everything from this input (make it blank).
This should remove the Instagram from top of the page.
Hope this helps.
Max
p.s. I love your website logo
Thanks! that did the trick
Hi, i have a problem with the theme, because there is something blocking the bot after seconds. if i change the theme, then the indexing is no problem. can you please check it, thanks JJ
Hey, JJ!
There is nothing in theme that can block the indexing.
Can you tell me what bot you are using and what is the indexing error?
Max
Hi Max, sure..
If i use the ryte.com website checker, the following massage is coming..
Looks like something is blocking us checking this one, sorry! https://www.breitengrad53.deThe same, if i use my seobility tool. After 36 Sites, the indexing is interrupt.
Looks like you have CloudFlare security enabled. I can’t access your website because the CloudFlare error 502 appear.
This could happen due to CloudFlare cached your website with your old theme. Also sometimes CloudFlare blocks third party services and some customers from accessing your website so you should clear the CloudFlare cache or disable CloudFlare and test again.
No, that’s not the reason. I disable cloudflare and purge the cache. It’s the same problem…
I’ve registered on seobility and currently crawling your website, it has 0 errors and every page is crawled correctly, here is a screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/3DUY0pQ.png
Seems like there was an issue with CloudFlare.
Yes, you are right! I do the same with seobility and it works. thanks and sorry
JJ
You’re welcome, JJ!
Hello! I was wondering how i could make each category of post appear on its own page. For example i want all posts of the exercise category to appear on the exercise page. Is there a widget or shortcode for that? I can’t seem to find a way for it to work… Thanks in advance!
Hello, eastsidecommunications!
I recommend using the Sitemap plugin, for example this one should work:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/It has a shortcode that will display all posts from categories in pages or even in widgets.
Max
hi, thanks a lot! it only kind of works though. i do see a list of the post of a certain category, yet it looks very basic and i’m not comfortable enough with css… and also there is no way for me to incorporate a widget onto a page, only in the sidebar or footer. so i would still need help with that! and another question – i saw that you guys offer a video tutorial but i’m afraid i can’t seem to find it. still, thank you so much and i hope you can help!
The plugin i recommended can be used without a widget, just as a shortcode in a page.
What exactly do you need from this plugin? May be i could find it for you. Also i recommend using a link to category, for listing posts, it is easier and in category description you can write everything you want to.
There were actually 3 video tutorials – how to install theme, how to import data and how to create widgets and menus. I think that they were very basic and everyone still know how to install theme and create menus. I am currently working on new tutorials because WordPress will be introducing new features and editor called Gutenberg soon. I will notify you when they will be available in documentation.
yes, i got that. i used the shortcode but the result was just a simple list of the headlines on the page. what i wanted was the blog posts of one category to be displayed on one page, like the blog page but without the top featured layout.
oh okay, thank you! can you also send me a link to the documentation maybe, which i also can’t find
The blog post without top featured is exactly what you’ll see when you add a link on category
The docs are always here: https://major-themes.com/norway.html or in the zip file with the theme
wow, worked like a charm! only one question left haha how do i get rid of the “category:” in the headline of the page?
If you want to just remove the text “Category:” but leave the category name you should do the following – go to Appearance – Themes – Activate Norway Child theme (if you have it installed).
Next go to Appearance – Editor and edit file “Theme Functions” (functions.php)
And on the 2nd line (the next line after <?php) add this:
function prefix_category_title( $title ) {
if ( is_category() ) {
$title = single_cat_title( '', false );
}
return $title;
}
add_filter( 'get_the_archive_title', 'prefix_category_title' );
Don’t forget to click “Update File”.
It should look something like this: https://i.imgur.com/3iy6A0r.png
You should do edits on Child Theme because if you’re planning update the main Norway theme the changes you’ve made will not be saved.
oh great, thanks! i dont know, how to install the child theme though… is there a file in the download section or do i have to create a child theme from norway myself?
There is a child theme in theme zip file that you can download from ThemeForest, just extract the archive and install norway6-child.zip as a regular theme. But do not remove Norway6 because the child theme does not work without it’s parent one
awesome! thank you so much for your great support!
hello again! i installed the yoast seo plugin a couple of days ago and it worked fine but now it disappeared. i can’t re-install it because it says, the file exists already. i think it has something to do with me installing the child theme beforehand? thanks a lot!
Hello, eastsidecommunications!
There is an issue with WordPress when there are some files from plugin left in directory.
I can recommend you using FTP/SSH to manually remove the SEO plugin.
Or you can send me access to WordPress admin panel at support@major-themes.com i will try to reinstall it.

Hi..
Great theme, and I’ve had luck with most everything that I’ve needed to do, but I do have a few questions.
1. I cannot for the life of me find out where to change the color of the Add to Cart button. I wasn’t sure if this is something that would be controlled by the theme or by Woo, but I wanted to at least ask.
2. When viewed in Firefox or Chrome, my header (which is just text, no logo) shows up just fine. When viewed in IE, it changes to a single column with all letters stacked vertically. Is there something I can do to fix this?
3. Is there a way to change the level of zoom on the header images? I like the effect, but my images get blown up way too much in some of them. Should I just be using much larger images, or is there some code I can change?
4. When clicking through the Description/Additional Info/Reviews tabs, is there a way to change the highlight color to match that of the theme/add to cart button?
Thanks in advance! I looked really hard to try to find this stuff in the customization area, so if it’s actually there, I apologize.
Hello, hgphenex!
1. After the WooCommerce updated to 3.3 version in the product page button color changed but i didn’t notice it. I’ve already fixed it now, and tomorrow I’ll upload the updated version that will make the “Add to Cart” button in the theme customized by theme customizer option “Accent color” (like everything else).
There is one more “Add to cart” button in the product category. It can be changed by custom styles in Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS, you can make any color, border or background for example we’ll add background:
.woocommerce ul.products li a.added_to_cart, .woocommerce ul.products li a.button {
color: #fff; /* Making text color white */
border: 0; /* Removing border */
background: #e05b5b; /* Setting background color */
}
2. The theme was not tested in IE, but i will look into this issue
3. The header images are positioned and set automatically and it depends on screen resolution and the dimension of image, the best experience is with horizontally images 16:9 / 16:10 dimensions. It was made so because there are really a lot of different devices, Mac, Surface, iPhone, iPad, Kindle and even new laptops with different and sometimes strange resolutions so it makes almost impossible to set the default level of zoom for every of them. That’s why theme header images automatically fills inside the box and centers it. The perfect image resolution is horizontal with 16:9 / 16:10 dimensions and 1920×1080 pixels resolution.
4. Yes you can change it in Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS:
.woocommerce .woocommerce-tabs .wc-tabs li.active a {
background: #000; /* Background color */
color: #fff; /* Text color */
}
Hope this helps!
Max
Hi Max!
Thanks so much for the help! The code you sent over worked great, so thanks a bunch. I understand the lack of IE testing – I hadn’t been testing in it either, but just happened to have someone mention the issue.
Will the update for the theme show up in WP just a normal theme update, or do I need to look for it elsewhere? It is just absolutely driving me bonkers that the add to cart button is so camouflaged by the site background. Looking forward to getting that one fixed!
The updated theme was uploaded, you can download the new version with the WooCommerce fixed
Hi there, I have an install question.
When I upload the theme ZIP as it comes from themeforrest to WP I receive an error:
“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”
When I Unzip the themeforrest ZIP I have the chance to install the Norway6.zip (works) and the Norway6-chield.zip (works when Norway 6 is already installed).
Do have to install both ZIP files?
Kind regards, André
Hey, André!
The error was because that main zip file contains not only the theme, but demo data, documentation and the child theme.
So after you unzip it you’ll see norway6.zip file – it’s main theme file.
You should only install norway6.zip that was inside the archive.
The norway-child.zip is needed only if you are planning modification of source code of the theme.
Max
Max. Thank you for the fast response. Done.
Hi guys, I have a problem with the theme twitter widget. When I insert it in the footer, the following message appears: “Waiting for Twitter … Once my Twitter is ready they will display my Tweets again.” I waited a while but nothing happened, and the twitter username is correct. Do I have to wait a few days or is it a problem with my account?
Hey, Roberto!
Due to Twitter rules you should get your own API key for tweets to show up.
Here is how you can do this, just follow the steps: http://major-themes.com/norway.html#3.1
Max
Hello!
Nice theme, I really like it.
I was wondering if there is any possibility to remove the “Follow XXX Instagram” button in the Instagram widget. Appreciate your help.
Thank you.
Hey, iletrone!
Thank you
Yes it’s possible. Go to Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS and copy-paste the code below:
.wide-instagram-feed .follow { display: none; }
Don’t forget to click “Publish”.
If you’re adding widget to sidebar just remove everything from Link Text input field – make it blank.
This should help you remove the follow button.
Max
Thank you very much! Problem solved.
You’re welcome!
Sorry to bother again. How could I remove the pinterest button (and keep only facebook and twitter buttons) in the share part of a post? Also I would like to know how to modify its message (modify like, tweet…). Thank you in advance!
To remove Pinterest button you should do the following: Go to Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS and copy-paste the code there:
.share-buttons a:last-child { display: none; }
.share-buttons a { flex: 0 0 49% !important; }
Do not remove the previous code
Click “Publish”.
To change the text of buttons or any other text you find in the theme i recommend installing Loco Translate plugin and going trough steps in Documentation: http://major-themes.com/norway.html#1.3
Find the text “Tweet” and “Like” and replace it to anything you want
Thank you very much once again!
Hello! it’s me again. I added a text widget to show a Feedly button on the sidebar of the webpage by specifying the following code “”.
My question is: How could I center this button? Right now it appears aligned to the left part of the sidebar.
Thank you very much.
Hey, iletrone!
Just wrap it in <center> tags
<center>FOLLOW_BUTTON</center>
Another option – you can try adding it to paragraph tag with additional style:
<p style="text-align: center;">FOLLOW_BUTTON</p>
This should work
Done! It works perfect. Thank you.
Hello! I have a problem. I created a menu with the following content (Custom link for the Home page, Category, Category, Page, Page). The header image appears perfectly when I click on the home page or on both categories, but when I click on any of the pages, the header disappears and instead of the header, the image that appers is the one selected in the outstanding image section box when posting. How can I change that?
Thank you.
Hi! I have seen that the problem appers only when I set both an image in Header-Header Background Image and another image inside the page as outstanding image. What happens is that the picture set as outstanding image appers in the place of the header image.
If I only set the header image, the image appers perfectly in the header section. The same if I only set the outstanding image, it appers perfecty between the header and the content.
Hope that helps to clarify the issue.
Thank you.
Hey, iletrone!
It is actually the default behavior by design and looks cool when you upload featured post image with resolution more than 1920×1080.
Do you want to remove this?
Max
Hello Max! is there any possibility that I can email you with screenshots to show what I am saying? Just to ensure that we are talking about the same.
Thank you!
Yes you can send them at support@major-themes.com
Email sent yesterday.
I have another question. How can I make the copyright message in the footer section of the webpage to link to another place? The copyright message is “©XXXX (Aviso legal y privacidad)” and I would like to click on (Aviso legal y privacidad) and send the user to a privacy page.
Thank you in advance!
Everything is fixed now, i also added a link in footer
Thank you very much for you awesome help like always
You’re welcome!
Menu.
The menu does not “drop down” when hovering the cursor over it in Chrome, looks to be working Edge (most of the time) Is there a way to “fix” this? Thanks.
https://www.24hmotor.com/Kind regards, J Johnsen
Hey, J Johnsen!
Seems like you have a lot of third party plugins installed and if you look in the browser console there are a lot of errors they are producing and they interfere with other scripts of the theme.
Can you send me access to WordPress admin panel at support@major-themes.com i will try to fix this.
Max
Hi, I like this theme but according to Google Webmasters tool it misses some structured data (author, entry-title, updated). Last Year, you wrote, you will fix this. what is the status? thanks, JJ
Hey, JJ!
I will look into this. Do you have the report of Google Webmaster? Can you send it to support@major-themes.com so i’ll add the missing things to structure.
Max
So on your demo site, the top three items are not repeated lower on the same page. Am i missing a setting to have “Top Featured” or “bottom featured” but how do I just have other blog posts in the next area of that page? I’m getting repeats of the top featured articles in the list below.
I would like to have – Top 3 newest articles at top. Rest of posts starting at the 4th post by date.
Hey, kookjai!
To set up featured articles you can edit the post / page you want to feature and check the “Top Featured” or “Bottom Featured” option, next Publish or Update and they will be on top.
Here is how you can do it:
There is no option to make newest 3 posts featured, only by setting them up manually. If you want to remove the top featured option and make the recent 3 posts featured just contact me at support@major-themes.com with access to WordPress admin panel, i will help you with this.
Max
that’s not what I’m meaning – right now I have a series of 7 posts on the site. 3 that I have selected Top Featured. What I don’t want is to have the top featured show up in the list below. To exclude them for example if they’re not “Top Featured”
Top Featured are often going to be new posts, with not “top featured” posts just showing up below.
So basically I want to have the posts listed below the top featured to be filtered of top featured. Exclude from showing if top featured is selected.
Does that make sense?
Yes, now i understand what you want to achieve.
Send me access to WordPress at support@major-themes.com
Hi, i love your theme. Good Job!
I have two questions..
How can i use an own achive-template for ex. Category 1, Category 2 and so on..
And it is possible to enable html at the category description?
Thanks, JJ
Hey, JJ!
Thank you!
It is possible to create your own archive template, but you should create it manually in the theme folder and write your own php and css code if you want to style it.
The category description in this theme is not visible in this version. To add it you can edit archive.php file and insert the code after H1 closing tag (line 10):<div class="category-description">
<?php echo category_description(); ?>
</div>
After you’ve done it go to Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS and copy-paste the CSS code for a new html tag:
.category-description {
flex-basis: 100%;
width: 100%;
margin: 0 0 30px 0;
line-height: 170%;
}
I can help you with this modifications if you want, just contact me at support@major-themes.com with the access to WordPress admin panel.
Hello! I am having trouble with finding either the tab or the location of where I enter photos or pages so they show up in the banner at the top (the trip-tic like banner). I’m sure I’m just blind but I’ve searched the theme’s customization builder and I still cannot find it. Would you be able to help?
Thanks!
~Andy
Hey, Andy!
To add the posts or pages to the `banner at the top` you should edit the post or page you want to add, check the “Top Featured” and Publish/Update it. Here is the screenshot of how to do it:
Hope this is what you are looking for
Max
Thank you SO much! That worked perfectly. I knew I was blind – so easy to accomplish. Thanks again for such a quick response and the help!
Andy, it’s not just you, i feel that i need to move this to F.A.Q. because more and more people asking about this
You’re welcome!
Hello, I love the theme! However, I have a few questions about how I can tweak it further. Is there a way to hide the following information from each post: - Author name and avatar - Comment count - Author byline from footer - Category name
I’d like to remove this information from the single post page, the post excerpts on the home page, as well as the trio in the header on the home page.
In addition, as I keep comments closed on my site, I’d like to remove the “Comments are Closed” notification from the bottom of each post in the single post view.
Is there a way to do this without editing code?
Thanks!
Hey, Jeremy!
Yes, you can do this by just editing CSS. I’ve prepared the code for you just go to Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS and copy-paste the code there:
.comments-closed, .post-author-bio, .post-category, .post-author, .comments-count, .post-date:before { display: none !important; }
Don’t forget to click “Publish”.
This should work well
Awesome! thank you so much for your help. That worked perfectly!
You’re welcome!
If you like Norway theme and support you can rate it
Happy to!
Thank you!
In case you’ll have questions or need more help feel free to contact me anytime
Hi there, first of all thank you very much for this awesome theme!
I bought it a while ago, so support has expired, but there is something that seems like a bug: When inverting the header colors in the theme customization menu, the sticky header turns to white text on white ground. (Not very user friendly :D)
I have looked extensively where to change the sticky header background color, but have found no option and am not too experienced with CSS.. Did I miss something or could you tell me how to change the background color to grey via custom CSS?
the site is https://anoutpost.com Thank you, Benjamin
Hey, Benjamin!
Yes, the sticky header does not have header background image only header background color, if you didn’t set it the default color is white, so if you set the header background color to any dark color (so white text will be visible) everything will be okay!
Just go to Apperance – Customize – Header – Header Background Color and switch the color to anything, for example #2b2b2b will look great with your theme.
Hope this helps!
Max.
Wow, thanks for the quick reply! and thanks for the tip, it worked nicely!
Cheers, Benjamin
You’re welcome, Benjamin!
By the way, if you like Norway theme and support you can rate it
Hey guys,
Can you please tell me what’s the best size/parameters for the featured image?
Thank you
Hey, Roberto!
The best size / ratio for featured image is Landscape, 16:9 / 16:10 ratio. Preferred size for best experience at retina displays is 2560×1440, but you can use also 1920×1080 it will look decent even on retina displays.
Max.
Hey guys!
Is it possible not show the sidebar when i open a single post?
Thank you
Hello, Roberto!
Yes it’s possible.
Go to Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS and copy-paste the code there:
.single .main-sidebar {
display: none;
}
.single .content {
justify-content: center;
}
Don’t forget to click “Publish”.
This will work for posts, to remove sidebar from pages when editing it select page template “No sidebar”.
Hope this helps!
Max.
Mmm, ok, now i don’t see the sidebar and it’s fine, but the content is not centered. How can i resolve it?
I updated the code. Here’s new one that will work:
.single .main-sidebar {
display: none;
}
.single .content {
justify-content: center !important;
}
Can you replace it in Appearance – Customize – Additional CSS
I tried with this new code but it doesn’t works, the content still on the left
Can you send a link to your website at support@major-themes.com
Okay, seems like i’ve found the solution.
The code:
.single .main-sidebar {
display: none;
}
.single .content {
flex-direction: column !important;
align-items: center !important;
}
Ok, now it works! Thank you so much!
