Do I have to run the gulpfile.js to make sure all the directories, modules, etc are in the source folder? This version got more complicated and difficult to install compared to the last versions. The previous source files was just so easy because I can just copy the SCSS and compile it to the css folder.
Anyway, can you guide us through how to properly set this up. Thanks!

If you don’t need to change the page.css code, so you don’t need to use the /source directory at all.
But if you need to change SCSS variables and recompile it, so you need to install required npm scripts in the /source directory. Run “npm install” to install requirements. Then make sure you installed Gulpjs ( https://gulpjs.com ) and then simply run “gulp”. It’ll run a static server for you and watch your js and scss files.
P.S. I’ll write some quick start guides soon.
I am using another compiler actually. I’m using Codekit for Mac for compiling Sass and JS files. Is there a way that we can just include those required modules inside the set?
I successfully run the gulpfile.js. Yes, that went well but somehow still didn’t create the bootstrap files inside the set, plus a lot more modules missing since it’s coming from the package.json.
Last version was more simple, that all the files are included and we don’t need to run complex gulp, composer, or json files. SASS are complete and all. How can we do this?
And yes, our team needs the /source directory since we are always customising. We are not just using the theme/framework and thus it’s just a jumpstart to a new web project….
If we include the required modules inside the set, we have to change the paths inside JS and SCSS files.
Some other customers asked us to include required modules inside the package.json, and since this is a better approach and most of the projects moving toward this direction, we thought it’s better to use npm for package management.
You’ll find it easier if you spend few hours with it. A “npm install” command can install everything you need. Then, simply running a “grunt” command can handle everything for your, from compiling SCSS and JS files, to reloading your browser after changing a HTML files or CSS and JS files. Also, removing a package would be so easy. Simply comment the require/import line from ”/assets/scss/page.scss” and ”/assets/js/src/page.js”
I tried to compile the sass but I’m having error.

Complete error message is something like this: File to import not found or unreadable: ~bootstrap/scss/functions.
Any idea?
Oh and I think there’s a need to include all the boostrap scss folders. i.e. @import “bootstrap/scss/root”; @import “bootstrap/scss/reboot”; @import “bootstrap/scss/type”; @import “bootstrap/scss/images”; @import “bootstrap/scss/code”; @import “bootstrap/scss/grid”;
etc…
Please follow the instructions that I wrote on the other comment of yours and see if the problem resolves.
What is changed in V2? Changelog is empty…

Yeah, a couple of other users reported this issue on MacOS and one of them said “it’s working with Keka (MacOS app: http://www.kekaosx.com/en/)". Seems to work. We try to find the problem and fix it for the next releases.
After extracting on MacOS 13.3.3, when I try to open the theme folder I get a dialog saying “The Folder “theme” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents.” How can I get a working zip without having to buy Keka?

Keka is free at http://www.kekaosx.com/en/ . Seems the grunt plugin which was responsible to create the zip file is causing this problem. Will update a new package soon.
Bug in v2.0. In Chrome 64 (Windows 10 CU) shrinking the window, clicking on the mobile hamburger menu and then enlarging the window again leave to a blank page (wich disappear with a mouse click).
Thanks for reporting it, we’ll work around it for future releases. But such a scenario happens in very few cases, users don’t resize the page they’re visiting.

Are you on MacOS? Some users report problem in unzipping the package on MacOS and seems unzipping works with Keka (MacOS app). We try to fix this issue.

As you might seen in the v2.0 of HTML version, everything has changes, we rewrote everything. The WordPress version is our next target, but it’ll take time. Since the next version of WordPress will include breaking changes, we plan to release it with next major release of the WordPress which will be v5.0. So it might be few months later.

Upgrade from TheSaaS v1.x to v2.x
This is the second major release of TheSaaS which is based on the stable release of Bootstrap 4. The previous version (v1.x) is based on the Bootstrap 4 alpha-6. As the version number implies, this release contains a lot of breaking changes due to breaking changes from Bootstrap 4. So there’s not any guide on how to upgrade from TheSaaS v1.x to TheSaaS v2.x. Since the v1.x is already stable enough, you don’t have to upgrade your project at all—unless you have enough time to recreate it using the current release of TheSaaS. But if you’re starting new project, TheSaaS v2.x is the best choice.

Hello! I’m using a child theme of theSaaS and I need to insert Google Tag Manager tags after < head . and < body >. Is there any options to do this within the wp-amin interface? Or do I need to insert it manually? If so, may you let me know which files should I insert the tag in so the tag applies to all my pages?
