Hi Rory, the loading speed depends on many factors, like a good hosting option, caching plugins and configuration, optimized images for web, etc.
3 sec is a normal loading time, for reducing it, use caching plugins, try disabling the loading screen, and optimize the images.

You don’t need to register those plugins because they come with the theme, you can just hide those messages.
For the WP Bakery plugin, it should be compatible, but I can say for sure because I don’t create it. It the next update of the theme, all the plugins will be updated to their latest versions also.

hey there,
thank you so much for this awesome theme. I have big issues with the hover effects. I’ve created some projects I’d like to share but they are only reachable through the litte hover drop down. that’s alright, but did not work on mobile devices. Is there a possibility to fix that problem for the mobile version? Just clicking on the project pictures is not working at all (http://umj.antares.uberspace.de).

Hi there, first thank you for the purchase and the good words.
This is fixed in the upcoming update but is not out yet. Here is the fix if you want to apply it yourself – you will need to activate the child theme, then navigate Appearance > Editor and paste this code after the comment “Theme customization starts here”
The fix:

Note: that max-width: 992px – bellow that width this effect will show up, so your devices need to be below that width, if you have mobile devices with bigger screens adjust that number accordingly.

Hi sorry my bad, that fix was for the masonry portfolio layout, bellow is the one for the default portfolio layout:

Try this, delete the Slider Revolution plugin, delete the VC plugin (Page Builder), re-download the theme and upload it again, then install the Slider Revolution and VC plugin again.

Hi there, the FTP credentials are not correct, the WP ones are working but there is no Edit Theme option?
The fix is very simple, find the header.php file from the theme files, on line 122 just add “main-menu”,
like this: ‘theme_location’ => ‘main-menu’,
Note: this is for version 1.2.2 of the theme.
That’s it, the mega menu will work now, and also the hover options.

Hi, the docs speaks about ‘Visual Composer’, but the plugin that is ‘required’ to install is WPBakery. Is it the same, or am I missing something here?

1) You add bg video to the row, not in the CTA element.
2) I don’t fully understand what you mean here. The sliders are created with Slider Revolution plugin.
Can you try editing the slider named “Full Screen Video” and add your video where it says: Main Background > YouTube Video ID?

Ah, I see. Thank you so much – I’ve added my video, but for some reason it does not play. I have checked that the YouTube settings are on public – but still it’s not working. I tried a sample video, and that works – so the problem is unique to my video – do you have any troubleshooting advice? Thank you!
Yes, is the YT video, check the settings in YT about your video, not every video can be used.

I’m using the Masonry Layout 3 portfolio. It works great on desktop and Android, but on iPhone, the porfotlio grid images don’t work. Tapping on them does not cause the arrows to slide out, and you can’t navigate to the single portfolio links.
I tried deactivating all plugins except for the WPBakery Page Builder; still had problem.
We are running the latest version of WordPress and the WP Bakery Page Builder (5.4.5).
You can see the problem here: http://thebam.com/masonry-layout-3-2/ We also have the original demo page (not working on iPhone either) here: http://thebam.com/masonry-layout-3/The 89 Elements demo page (http://themes.89elements.com/definity/masonry-layout-3/) does NOT have the problem, so I’m suspecting issue is due to some change introduced in a later version of the theme or WP Bakery Page Builder. We are running version 5.4.5 of the WP Bakery Page Builder. The demo is using version 5.3.
Is there a way for us to download older versions of the WP Bakery Page Builder?

Hi there, there was an update that addressed this specific problem and I think this is not related to the Visual Composer (Page builder) plugin because the portfolio elements are custom made.
I see that you have done some edits to the theme from your link.
Can you re-download the theme and do a clean install on localhost or subdomain? Don’t edit anything in the theme, import the demo and check if the problem is still there.
For the other question, you can’t get older versions of the WP Bakery Page Builder plugin.

I will re-address this problem and will be fixed in the upcoming update (out soon, this month).
There is no quick fix for that, what I’m planning to do is make the full image a link only on certain display sizes (mobile) with media queries so by clicking the button it won’t show at all and the full image will act as a button, because there is no hover on mobile devices.
I’am telling you this so if you have a developer on your team or you have some dev. knowledge to do yourself so you won’t have to wait for the update.

I have one site live now that doesn’t work on iPhone -I have another site going live with Definity theme this week and then another one the following week – unfortunately, they all have the same problem – I’m no developer and I have clients to answer to. Is there any update on the update you mentioned? You mentioned by end of the month. I do think the theme is beautiful but am taking a lot of heat from my clients for the bug. Please inform.

Hey there!
I was wondering whether it was possible to combine the Item Hover Effects of the Portfolio Grid and the Portfolio Masonry Grid Layout. For example: I want to implement the Hover “Slide in Side Panel” to work on an item which is part of the Portfolio Masonry Grid.
If that’s not possible I have two more questions: 1.) Can the (non-existent) space in between pictures in the Portfolio Grid be changed/customized? 2.) Can another icon be added to the Hover effect “Default” (e.g., I need not only to have the option to maximize the picture whole-frame, but also to have a link which is redirecting to another page (often this is labelled as “Learn more”)

Unfortunately, the answer is no to all the questions.
In the coming update, there are some changes to the portfolio options and some new layouts but still the “slide in side” will not be available on masonry because it breaks the layouts and is left out intentionally.
For your case If you use non-masonry layout, you will solve all the problems.

Here from the input field “Blog Subtitle” you can change the subtitle.

Thanks, I followed your instructions to this and saw that I had already changed the “Blog Title” field to News. I even tried to add a page title to the page, but it wouldn’t save. Is there something I’m not doing?
For the blog title that can happen only if you have edited some of the code in the files, if not delete the theme, redownload it again and install it, then try it again.
For the mega menu here are the instructions:
1) Navigate: WP Dashboard > Appearance > Editor;
2) Located the header.php file;
3) At the bottom lines there find the code where it says: ‘theme_location’ => ’’,
4) Change it to: ‘theme_location’ => ‘main-menu’,
P.S. If you can’t edit the theme from the editor, you can use FTP and edit the files directly.
That’s it, the mega menu should work now.
Hi There, I can’t seem to get the Mega Menu to work. I’ve Enabled it in the Appearance > Menu Section. I’ve clicked on the parent link to edit the columns, etc. I’ve added submenu items. When I go to the page preview, there isn’t a Mega Menu. It’s just a drop menu. What am I missing?

Hi there, first thank you for the purchase.
Great question, the answer is YES, all pages in the demo are created with Visual Composer (Page Builder) so this is very easy. If you have installed the demos and you want to copy section from there here are the steps to do it:
1) Edit the page where the element is, that you need;
2) On the row element (wrapping element) click: pen icon (edit) > gear icon > save as template > give it recognizable name;
3) To access the now templated row, from the same place (edit page) just click the third icon (right of the + icon) at the top of the blue header of the VC.
4) Under “My Templates” is the previously saved template (the row with your elements inside), clicking the + button on your template name will add it on the page.
5) You can add this way your saved elements (templates) on any page that you like, blank or not.
P.S. Clicking the “Default Templates” will give a list of pre-created pages from Definity.
