That worked! The “product” checkbox was not selected under the “role manager tab. I have a couple of additional questions:

1.) is there a way to change the layout of the thumbnails? Can they be stacked vertically like this: https://www.allbirds.com/products/mens-wool-loungers?variant=42215908807

2.) is there a way to remove the “Description, Additional Information, Reviews” tabs?

I’m basically trying to emulate this age just in case my client really likes it since this is a site they sent me as an example of something they like.

You need to create a new row and edit that row to have top/bottom padding start out with some values like “20%” for both. Then just enable the “Parallax Background” option after adding a “Background Image”

Thanks roye209, I’ve located the issue – it’s related to the current WooCommerce and the Ascend Salient theme skin. To fix it before the next release, add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

My customizer was set to display 1:1 thumbs, I regenerated all thumbnails again after checking this customizer options. This setting 1:1 apparently works only for the first (featured) image, the others are still 16:9 (I think). However, when editing the product gallery in the backend, the thumbnails appear properly as 1:1. Any other hints or links to possible causes/conflicts?

Hi there. I think I finally figured this out. There might be some potential conflict between Salient styling and Jetpack. I turned Jetpack off, and the thumbnails started working properly. I also installed a caching and optimizing plugin so I am not 100% sure if this was the issue, but since jetpack is very popular I thought you might want to know.

In the Salient options panel > header navigation > transparency tab, enable the option “Use Transparent Header When Applicable?” then in your page settings, at the very bottom you’ll see a metabox titled “Page header settings”, check the box for “Force Transparency On Navigation”.

You can add a “lang” folder in a child theme to avoid this and use this in a child theme functions.php to call the .po from there:

Inspecting the source of your page shows that the HTML tags are malformed right from the start of the document, there’s two separate declarations showing for the opening html and head tags https://imgur.com/a/JRfF8 which is preventing mobile devices from accurately parsing the page. This formatting error does not exist in a raw copy of Salient, so you would need to open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials to allow us to see what’s going on in your setup. Or if you simply upload a fresh version of the theme it would likely sorted it

Hey michelleoui, i’m seeing some custom javascript that was added into the bottom of the init.js file which is causing an error on mobile devices and preventing the rest of the file to execute normally. Once that customization is removed, the issue should go away

Hey Marc, that’s the icon shortcode which is available in the nectar shortcode generator in any textblock, however over a year ago we added the icon shortcode into the page builder as the “Icon” element. The icon page builder elements offers all the same features as the original icon shortcode

In ideal scenario the whole sentence is entire centered vs. using columns, but it’s hard to get this right on desktop + mobile (where it should be two centered sentences)

1. In the responsive options tab when editing the column holding the marketyze image, change the column widht on mobile to be 1/1

2. add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

   margin-bottom: 0!important;
}

You can also create two different versions of the design (one for mobile/desktop) but using the responsive options tab and hiding the display on each separate column grouping on the relevant viewport
