Hello, I read all the document and try my best to figure out how to do stuff so not to bother you. But I cannot figure out how to change the color behind the logo. I read everything about header options and tried several things. But just can’t figure it out. That and how to make the fonts smaller in the widgets. Thank you for your help.
I got it, I did the same thing as before, but this time it worked. Maybe I did not hit save. Still need help with the footer widget font size. Also in the course page. On the right, how do I edit the Time, Room, Days to what I need?
I found this in Comments. “It does allow you to add sidebar for pages/posts and but not for custom post types like departments/courses/staff etc. which have their custom design and hence we have not provided support for sidebar for single course/department/staff etc. The pages which list these custom post types (archives) have the option available.” So does that mean I cannot change the sidebar? I have 53 classes that need to say something different then what you have. How do I replace with a widget so I can add “register here” and other vital info?

Upload of the demo content went fairly easy watching the video. The whole site looks about right, some missing pages such as “single class” link back to your demo. A couple things I hope you can help with. The home page does not look like your demo page. All my photos are large and the sections do not look like yours. I have not found in your documentation where to change the skin. Is there a simple way to change the color in the header behind the logo? I have heard that WordPress will be going through some significant changes/upgrades in April of 2018 (Gutenberg Editor). Do you foresee any significant issues with the Invent Theme? I am quite new to WP, and wanted to check on this before buying. Thank you! 
Thanks for your purchase. As of now, there is no clarity on how we should be addressing this since Gutenberg is undergoing significant changes with each release. As far as I can see, no author so far has started making any sort of changes to the theme to handle this situation. For now, it is all wait and watch until Gutenberg matures. I can only give a fair idea on this only in April when the Gutenberg takes a final shape. Hope this clarifies.

Hi there – a new client of mine is already using this theme but his old dev is unresponsive and I only have the production theme files so I can’t really examine everything (no docs). Anyways my question is – are the nav bar options just the one (full nav then thinner sticky) or are there more options?
I have one more question, are there options for different column layouts for the different breakpoints? Thanks!
Yes nav bar options are exactly what you listed. And there are no column layouts that can be set for different breakpoints. We manage it ourselves.

Hi. Can you please let me know how to ensure that the text written in the “Courses” page also show up in the course category pages? I have inserted a shortcode for search bar on https://lms.eduinfinite.com/our-courses. However, when I click on any of the individual categories (Grade 6, Grade 7 etc), the search bar does not show up.

Since the courses archive is a page, you are able to insert custom shortcodes through the page settings. The category pages are auto-generated by WordPress and hence would require custom code to insert shortcodes. Pls let us know if you need further help on this. You can copy over the template file loop-meta.php file to your child theme and then edit the line numbers 57 to 66 to whatever information you want to see in the course category pages. Pls make sure you include the change inside a separate condition is_tax(‘course_category’) so that it does not affect other archive pages. Hope this helps you move forward on accomplishing the change you want to see in the course category page.

2) On the ‘boxed’ version on https://www.livemeshthemes.com/invent/ some elements like campus tour, numbers say it all, etc. are showing full-width and the slider just gets pushed to the right. Can that be changed
3) Can the menu links be styled so that items with sub-links show a arrow/icon
4) Can the link/parent link of the current page show in a different color

1) I am not clear on what you mean by screenshots of home page, features, courses etc. You already have a live website to take a look – not sure why you would need screenshots of the same. You can always grab a screenshot of the live demo website if you need.
2) Looks like the boxed preview is not working right since it is JS based. You should have no issues with the boxed version once it is enabled in the theme options.
3) You will need to customize the menu to enable arrows on the sublinks. 4) Yes it can be done with simple custom CSS.
5) Regarding event calendar, we are just using the free version of the Events Calendar but you are free to purchase PRO version to enable additional options. You may need to purchase this addon if you need filter options – https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/

1) You can feature certain courses and events if you use our [show_post_snippets] shortcode. 2) If you need users to enroll for a course and pay for the same, you will need to use LearnDash premium LMS plugin and you need to purchase the plugin separately from learndash.com.

Hi, the courses will be offline, just need enrollment and payment done online.
If that is the case, you will need to integrate a payments + members system like Easy Digital Downloads or WooCommerce and track enrolled students accordingly. This will need some custom development and configuration from your side to make this integration happen. Thanks.
Can I use the DiviBuilder plugin to build the main content areas for the courses/lessons/tasks?
If that option exists in DiviBuilder, you can. Most page builders have a settings page where they let you enable page builder for specific custom post types.

Hello. It’s been a while since I have your theme and I think I can already contribute to improving this (and others), which is very good. Come on:
I think it’s time to improve the theme widget options, which are as follows: Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets Livemesh Theme Widgets
I specifically suggest the following: 1) That you leave “Theme Widgets” specific to the theme. No redundancy. Whatever is done by “Livemesh SiteOrigin” or “Widgets Bundle”, does not need to be done by the “Theme Widgets”. So, it would be natural that, over time, on your own initiative, or ours, only specific widgets would be developed for that particular theme. 2) I think that a new “Page Sections” can complement SiteOrigin Page Builder (and Livemesh SiteOrigin). You could use the Builder to create “Page Sections”, that would go to a repository. (with the ability to import or export). With the new “Page Sections” I can use an unlimited number of widgets, to create the most varied designs, including colors and textures, with effects (paralax, for example).
Thanks for your feedback. Will consider making changes along these lines. BTW, page sections are not a new feature – they existed before Page Builder SiteOrigin took over. We stopped recommending its use after we released SiteOrigin compatibility.

Is there a way to only show only the last 8 posts in the News Carousel (post snippets section)?
In post snippet carousel edit panel you can find a button “build post query” there you can set parameters “order by” and posts per page.

Hi, I need to develop a site for a college and i find Invent theme most suitable for it but before that i have 3 pre sale queries :
1. we prefer visual composer page builder .so will it be possible that u guys can provide me a copy of this invent theme with bundled visual composer after purchase ? or if we purchase visual composer separately then will invent support it ? i can see that other themes of LiveMesh have visual composer bundled with them e.g: Agile
2. I have just checked the invent demo and there is a bug with the menu dropdown when sub child is present; its going out of the viewport , hope this can be fixed
3. is it possible to show a search field somewhere on the header , currently there is none in the demo

1) VC is not bundled with the theme and we use the popular SiteOrigin page builder for our theme. Unfortunately we don’t have the license to bundle VC with this theme and hence you need to purchase it separately. VC should be compatible with the theme – have not had anyone report any issues so far with using VC with Invent.

You can use a translation file (using POEdit to change the data in languages directory) to change to any string you like. If you do an update in the en_US.po (or another depending on your site language) file, you should see all the translatable strings in the strings list . You would then be able to input any alternate string of your choice there.
Pls search for “Read More” string and insert an alternate string in the translation area , save and update the changes .
