I can’t view woocommerce settings, theme say “Your theme (My Religion) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files” and I’ve already uploaded a new version of the theme. How can I fix this?

This theme comes with useful sections to manage entities such as ‘Sermons’. These have their own section on the Admin which is great. Is it possible to rename ‘Sermons’ to something else? I have a use case where I would like to have a section in the admin and front-end for ‘Teams’ and would like to use the sermons part for that but would like to rename it. Is renaming of Sermons to Teams possible? Thank you.
I have profiles for Volunteers. There are 12 of them. How can I add a Profile Shortcode on a page which shows one of those 12? I obviously want to be able to select which one appears on the page. Thank you.

Renaming the post type requires serious theme customization that is beyond our support policy, appreciate your understanding. I can recommend you to change the Sermons slug: https://www.screencast.com/t/vuofpAnD and to translate the phrases according to your needs. CMSMasters Sermons plugin contains .pot file: https://www.screencast.com/t/1PEHtwSCzs , you can find the .pot file in /wp-content/plugins/cmsmasters-sermons/languages/ – please create new .po and .mo files from this .pot file, rename them adding ‘cmsmasters-sermons-’ before the files’ names and place them exactly in the same folder (/wp-content/plugins/cmsmasters-sermons/languages/). Even in case you don’t need to translate the phrases, the procedure of renaming/changing is quite the same.
The Profile shortcode allows to choose the Profile category you need to display: https://www.screencast.com/t/krMex0Y3JY . So you can create profiles with different categories and then choose which one you need to show.

Regarding the Profiles, all 12 of the people are Volunteers. There are not 12 different types of volunteers. There is no point in categorising them as volunteers if I can’t display the ones I need. What I need is a way to select one particular Volunteer, that seems like a very common requirement, how can I do that?
Is it possible to give a Volunteer two categories? I could then use one to select when I need to display just one and use the other to select when I want to display all of them?

Step 1 in the installation instructions says to add 4 lines of PHP to the .htaccess file. When I did that I get a 500 Server Error. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

No that is not the problem on my server, I have always been able to make .htaccess changes and have used them for redirects etc. If I proceed without adding the php that you recommended in .htaccess then the demo content import fails, I need that demo content.
Now that you know that this problem is not due to the server company prohibiting changes to .htaccess what do you recommend?
Thanks for your reply! Please note that issues with demo content importing are always caused by the limits set on the server.
If you get a white screen or some other error when trying to import our demo content, this probably happens because of the maximum execution time limit. You need to increase the maximum execution time (upload time) setting of your web server. The default maximum execution time on web servers is 30 seconds. Please increase it to 120 seconds. Possible ways of achieving this are:
By Wp-config.php changes – set_time_limit(120);
In htaccess – php_value max_execution_time 120;
In php.ini file – max_execution_time = 120
If this does not help, please ask your hosting provider to increase PHP Post Max Size and PHP Max Upload Size to 64Mb on your server. Maybe there are some other restrictions set on the server and there is a need to increase some limits that aren’t mentioned at our documentation as in fact we don’t deal with server configurations and only your hosting provider can find a solution for the issue. Please contact him and let me know about the results.

I contacted the hosting company and asked them to increase the max_execution_time. They did this. I also set up a phpinfo.php file on my website so I can check that they did this. I see now that the max_execution_time is set to 3000, much higher than the minimum needed so it should now be fine.
I can see in that phoinfo.php file the following settings also: post_max_size = 128M (larger than the 64M that you recommended) upload_max_filesize = 128M (larger than the 64M that you recommended) max_file_uploads = 20 (Your recommendation for this was 128M, I am not sure why your recommendation seems to be measured in megabytes but the setting in phpinfo seems to be an integer?) max_input_vars = 6000 larger than the 5000 that you recommended)
When I ran the importer (step 1, the xml for the My Religion demo site) I see the following message:

It is not all done and I am not having fun. This theme is proving to be the most difficult one I have ever worked with, I am losing time dealing with these errors. Your last reply above said that none of this is your responsibility and it is all my hosting company’s responsibility.

I disagree with that statement, it is not the job of my hosting company’s staff to overcome problems in the software I paid you guys for.
Another solution is you give me my money back and I buy a theme that works without errors but before we do that can you tell me what else can be done to solve this?
I just spent 2 hours working with the technicians from the hosting company, they increased every setting they could think of, the phpinfo file shows that they are all well in excess of your recommendations but I still see the same errors.

Please note that error messages that you have received after importing demo content can be caused by the not activated plugins. Please make sure that you activated the CMSMasters Contact Form Builder, CMSMasters Content Composer, CMSMasters Donations, CMSMasters Mega Menu and CMSMasters Sermons before importing demo content.

Okay, I managed to get past the importing error for step 1. Now I moved on to importing for step 2 and I immediately see another error when I try to upload the 2-Slider Demo Content/Revslider/ken_burns.zip

Looking at your documentation I see this:

The documentation does now say what kind of file type a ‘slider import files’ is so I tried the .zip and then unzipped it and tried the .txt file.

Your instructions are very unclear.

Inside the DEMO_CONTENT/My Religion directory I see three sub-directories. 1-Content 2-Slider Demo Content 3-Theme Settings
So I have been trying to follow the instructions in the order presented. I have finished part 1 so now I am trying to deal with part 2, Slider Demo Content. There is no instructions that say I should use a different means of importing Slider Demo Content so I am using the same means as I used for part 1 but that doesn’t work.
Is Slider Demo Content not part 2 in the process? If not why is it numbered as part 2?
My Religion theme comes with two demos included – Modern and My Religion folders: https://www.screencast.com/t/YWIC7OEpIn , each of them contains the .xml content import file, demo content for the sliders and .txt theme settings file.
After choosing what demo you need to replicate, please open the appropriate folder and import demo content according to the instructions from the How-To:
1) Step One – Import the Content Itself: import the .xml file from the 1-Content folder via the WordPress Importer plugin.
2) Step Two – Import Theme Settings: copy all the code from the .txt file and paste it to the Theme Settings – Import/Export – Import tab.
3) Step Three – Choose your Home Page in the Settings – Reading tab and primary navigation in the Appearance – Menus – Manage Locations tab.
4) Step Four – Import Sliders: to import slider demo content you need to proceed to the slider tab on your admin panel and import the .zip file.
All these steps are described in the theme docs with the screenshots for each step, please also see the video tutorials here. Besides our support team is always ready to assist you if any help is required.

You didn’t answer my question. Why are they numbered 1, 2, 3 that way when that is not the correct order.

Now I have managed to complete all four of these steps and when I look at the website I see text that overlays the entire website, it looks like it is a megamenu which has all elements permanently expanded. That text appears in front on every other element on the website. What can I do about that? Here is how it looks:

The order how the folders are named is also correct – in fact there is no differences between the order of the theme settings import and sliders demo content import, the critical is to import the .xml demo content file before the .txt theme settings file. So you can import the demo content -> the theme settings -> the sliders demo content or demo content -> slider demo content -> theme settings – in both cases demo content will be imported properly.

You can use a third party plugin for this purpose, we just can’t recommend any at the moment as we haven’t tested mentioned plugins compatibility with the theme, that’s why can’t guarantee it. Is this theme secure? I read that 29% of hacks happen from insecure themes. I also found that I cannot update the theme without you all doing it for us. Why don’t you have an easy way for us to update the Theme within the Wp site instead of having to upload a new Theme again?

Please note that we include the Envato market plugin in the latest theme update which allows to update the theme automatically when the new version is available on the Themeforest. You need to install the plugin onto your WordPress site and acticate it. After activating the plugin, click on the “Envato Market” icon from the left sidebar. To generate your Global OAuth Personal Token click on this link and login using your Envato Market login details. Please copy & paste your unique token into the Envato settings inside your WordPress dashboard and click on “Save Changes”. Once you have configured this properly, you will see a screen where you can install or update your already purchased plugins & themes.
Please note that if you make any changes in the theme files, they will be rewritten by future theme updates. It would be better to customize the code, when you’re using a child theme.

Im still having a lot of issues with the theme, I can’t click on any options when I click on the header options to change something. When i try to click on something the color picker pops up and this also happens in the theme settings on certain pages this is enabling me to make any changes to the site.
in the general theme setting the content page is black, i had the same color picker issue on this page, i clicked on the color thinking this would go away now the whole page is black.
also when I’m in the header i can click on the image to delete it or click on anything to remove it and change it.

URGENT: Hey, so I just de-activated the theme because it was breaking Menus so I could change something then re-activated now the entire site is down… then I tried to download and upload the latest version but it’s failing. Thanks I see the response but did not get a email. I will continue building and then if I have more questions ill contact you. I have managed to get the side bars to work but I am struggling with the events. I simply want to be able to show next event as the demo.
Also I have a question regarding sermons! We are a large ministry that puts out teachings ever week. All these teachings are already on another site. How can I import them to sermons and not to the regular blogger post. The reason I want to use your theme is because of the option to display the video and downloads, PDF etc. I however would struggle if I am not able to import to sermons from the previous website. Putting everything into blog and only displaying a few sermons would be a problem.
I would like to use the blog as a blog only and the sermons as the main display for all teachings. Any suggestions please

Please note that our events view is achieved with the help of Events Pro plugin that comes with the Events list widget with extended options and Countdown widget. But please note that it should be purchased separately as this plugin is prohibited from third-party distribution. In the basic Events Calendar plugin you can use Events List widget. I should also note that we cannot guarantee that the content created with the help of the other theme and plugins will be correctly imported and displayed when using our theme. The matter is that the themes use different post types for displaying the content, and the sermons post type was created specially for the My Religion theme. So there should be a need to create the sermons from scratch, appreciate your understanding.

please can you also advise as how to add a link to the button on the front page – relgion demo. There is a section that says this church loves etc and then it says become a member. Our site is a membership site so I want to link that button to the sign up form of our plug in. I did click the section where the button link was and put my plugin link but it does not work. so let me see if I am understanding you correct. I would then first need to use the donate plugin and create a form then it will appear in the php. Cause as of now I am not using your form I am using donor box for donation forms. I want to use the “give”page set up in the them but have the donor button link to that page. Is this possible? I looked in the php but I do not have that line, probably cause I have not created a donation form using the added plugin?

Thanks I followed the instructions and downloaded the programme opened the file and selected English GB and then changed the sermon ones to teaching. Saved the two files MO and PO. Went to server / language and uploaded them, but nothing changed on the site. It still shows next sermon etc. Can someone help me with this ?

But when I go to check the event part in the middle that shows the actual event with find out more in red button is cut off. This is happening on both the front page and the sermon page. Hi, the default color scheme seems to be linked with the background color of the headline section. Somehow this color overrules the custom colorscheme I have chosen for the headline section. How come? How can I change that and how can I use my custom colours schemes for other pages such as “events”, “404”, etc, where I do not have the option to choose my custom color scheme? Please help.

I’m having trouble with audio as well, but not from the sermon plugin, but rather the posts pages. My other audio posts are working, but the latest post isn’t. It comes up blank when I update the page. The audio is from the same folder on my hosting as the others. Please help.
I fixed it. I needed to change the file to .mp3 and not .MP3. It works fine.

This form is added with the help of the MailPoet plugin. We created the form and added it to the Subscribe sidebar via the MailPoet Subscription Form widget. After that we added the Sidebar shortcode to the page, choose the needed sidebar and set the additional css class custom_subscribe.
