My theme Applauz was hacked and GoDaddy is saying that hey hacked it through the theme. Is there a way to reliquish the hack or disrupt because I was told it may be a plugin. Please advise.
Hi,
The best option is to start from a clean WP installation, install the theme and required plugins again and migrate the content. Everything else is a gamble because you can not know if the core WP files have been changed or some other method was used. For what you know, they might have a backdoor or even ftp access to your server at this point.
By the way, the statement that it has been done through the theme is, at best, incorrect. It is ridiculous to claim something like that without the actual reference to the hackers entry point or specific theme vulnerability – hundreds of people are using the theme and we haven’t had a single complaint in regards to the security aspects.

Yes demo images are being imported in the process, but be aware that they are not licensed for third party use and that you need to license them separately if you intend to use them in production and for that reason they come in lower resolution then on our demo site.

I bought the theme and my dveloper installed it but we’re having a hard time finding the images. We have taken a quick look at the demo import XML file. When we try to load one of these images in the browser it says that the image is not found. As a buyer of the theme, I am asking why the demo website is not importing any images, and the demo website on theme forest is not working at the moment…

Currently the theme uses its own Page Builder which runs without problems in parallel with Gutenberg. The problem with existing Gutenberg implementation is that it does not feature css grid at this moment. This means that multicolumn layouts can not be supported and that is essential for our theme. Once they introduce functional grid in Gutenberg, we will add Gutenberg support to it.

Hi! This is a pre-sale question. I like the theme and have a question: 1) Will this work on wordpress.com portal? I know it will work on the wordpress.org side….
2) We host webinars and we would like to showcase the webinar presentations and descriptions after the webinar using portfolios. However in the demo I do not see any files which can be uploaded so that the users can click and see the presentation or a video.
How can I accomplish this through your theme?

We haven’t tested the theme on wordpress.com but other users were having various issues due to specific wordpress.com environment – so we would not recommend using the theme on wordpress.com
Related to videos and documents, you can add locally hosted videos to pages using default WordPress functionality. In general the same goes for presentations, although it really depends on presentation format how would it be displayed on front end side. You can certainly create links to them or if they are hosted on external services, you can use embed scripts provided by these services.

You can not add custom font through admin panel. You would have to add it via custom css code using font-face rules, and then apply the appropriate classes/styles to desired elements in HTML markup.

Here is how the Setting generally work
The settings in the Appearance > Customize panel are global, meaning that they influence every page on the site by default.
On the other hand, you have an option to override these settings on per page basis. If you take a look at the bottom of the page edit form, you will notice Override Global Setting part in Settings Section – here you can override global settings for every page.
You probably have a logo related override set on the home page and it caused the problem with your logo. Try removing logo related overrides.

Hi, I just purchased you theme, great work! But I have few questions please.
1. Cost calculator and all your plugins does not have a “settings or edit” link in Plugins. I already bought a license separate only for Cost Calculator and found that these links appear on other website.
2. The logo on mobile devices can be changed with Alternate Sticky Header Logo other than the main one?
3. Last question… I hope. There is an option for Scroll Up button?

1. In general edit buttons display only when the necessary file permissions are acquired by PHP, so you should take a look at the permission set for your plugins folder on server. You can try plugins > editor and see if you can change the files there if you need.
As far as settings are concerned, in general our plugins do not have settings link in plugins panel – the cost calculator that you have used should not have it either.
2. Unfortunately not, please refer to the documentation – http://documentation.bold-themes.com/applauz/theme-customization/ for details on how Alternative Sticky Header Logo is used:
This is usually light version of logo (which is supposed to be used on dark backgrounds). The logic is this:
If you do not have Alternative logo defined, main logo will be used in all cases If you have Alternative logo defined, it will be used on top of the page when Content Below Menu and Sticky Header options are activated. This set up will also change the color of menu and widgets to light.
If you want to have different logo on mobile devices, you will have to resort to custom css and JS. Please leave the ticket at https://boldthemes.ticksy.com/ and our support team will try to help you.
3. No there isn’t such option, but you can always use one of the many third party plugins for this purpose.

When I create a blog post and publish it, the frontend blog page shows this warning, right above the post or post listings: “Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable [ ..... ] /public/wp-includes/post-template.php on line 284” Never saw this error before except with your theme active. If I revert to twentyseventeen the error is gone. Might it be that your theme and/or builder not compatible with php 7.2 ? Let me know how to fix this. Do I need to revert the server to 5.6 ?

Hi,
I would like to purchase this theme but have questions around the pagespeed score. Load/performance times are important to me. If I run the demo (http://applauz.bold-themes.com/main-demo/) on the Google Pagespeed tool (https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/) I get a score of 62 & 50 which is not good.
I understand I can use plugins to minify and combine css & js which will help load times but my main concerns are around “render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content”.
From PageInsights: Your page has 11 blocking script resources and 8 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
Can you offer some suggestions or a way to reduce page load times and increase pagespeed scores?

If you take a look at https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapplauz.bold-themes.com%2Fmain-demo%2F, you will see that the scores are 83/100 and 85/100.
Just please run the insights several times and look for an average score – sometimes it detects “server took too long to respond” which takes the scores down to mid 60s.
Anyway, as you can see, contrary to popular belief the scores on Page Insights depend on a number of factors which, to great extent, can be resolved by using third party cache plugin such as W3 Total Cache (which we installed and activated in this case).
Currently blocking JS and css come from Google Fonts and Google Tag Manager code. All theme’s minified JS can be loaded using deferred method (option in W3 Cache).
