How do I access the checkout page? I can’t find it. I need to edit the checkout form

Hi, you should have a Checkout page in your admin under Pages, otherwise there may be an Elementor template for the page. If not, you can use the option to add the pages again: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-pages/#section-1

It’s worth noting however that the page itself just shows a shortcode. The checkout fields are not directly editable there. Some fields show up depending on settings in WooCommerce, and some always show.

Hi, does it support multi-day tours and group rates?

Hi, I’m sorry for the delayed response. Somehow this comment was missed which is very rare. I see you asked further down about group rates which is indeed possible.

The booking system is not really designed for multi-day tours though. However technically you can in the sense that you can set it up so that it will only show the start time.

How do I edit the header? How do I change the color of the menu text in the header. I create slider with master slider it seem to overlap with the logo and menu in the header and how do I fix it? Please help.

In the same place you can choose between light and dark menu text.

How do I edit the “about us” in the footer? I’ve edited everything in the footer except that section as it seems to be missing from the Appearance>Customize>Theme options> Footer www.resoluteexpeditions.com

Hello, I previously purchased your Entrepreneur booking theme and it was awesome! Now, I’m even more excited to see new and updated booking site and I’m considering getting this theme but I have one question:

The booking calendar has two package fields: – Adults -Youth. Can you change the titles to something else other than adults/youth as well as the number of fields overall?

1. Yes the builder is very flexible – you can design that page however you like including using a slider

2. Yes there is an option to have images like that open in a lightbox instead of being static

3. The pricing table buttons can lead to any page on the site or an external site as well. So it could lead to the booking page with the calendar, or directly to purchase a product.

Desperate with plugins. Theme is great but I do not know how to setup everything especially the booking and checkout page. I used to use woocommerce but it seem quite complex. Do you have a tutorial on how to get it done?

Hi,this is pre sales questions. I need a booking system for a small flying air company where people can book a sit in a plane. I ask:

1. There’s only 19 sits is it possible to stop booking after 19? 2. Is it possible to make

2 recurring events like: 2 flights on saturday at 9:00 am and 10:00 am and the other days 1 flight per day ?

3. Is it possible to send an automatic email to the customer with the booking number?

4. Is it possible to buy tikets online with credit card or paypal?

5. Is it possible to have a custom form with one way ticket and return ticket?

6. Is it compliance with the GDPR?

Hi,

1. Yes and no – you can set a maximum for bookings if you use the booking slots feature in the Booked plugin – in that case each booking is for one person. If you use a custom field to allow someone to be able to book more than one seat at once, that number isn’t tracked so it wouldn’t be able to be capped. Does that make sense?

2. No, recurring bookings are not currently an option in the plugin.

3. Yes there is an email feature in Booked and also in WooCommerce where the latter includes an order number if that’s what you mean.

4. Yes, many payment options can be setup including both of those.

5. Each booking is for one slot if that is what you are asking. However customers could book one, then go back and book the other, and then pay for both together.

6. We are not the creators of the booking plugin, we just have an agreement where we can include the full version with our themes. So I can’t say for sure at this time if it’s entirely GDPR compliant, but it’s something we’ll look into. I can say however that the booking plugin uses standard WordPress accounts, so any changes to WP core or plugins that are used to make it compliant should apply well since they are standard users. Also you can customize the booking form to include a checkbox to accept terms, privacy info, etc which should help.

Hi, no we have not experienced any issues. You’ll see the booking calendars are working on our live demos ( http://demo.themovation.com/embark ) and on my local installs as well.

If you’re having an issue, I would suggest deactivating any third-party plugins not included with the theme ( http://bit.ly/2JYc0hF ) and if that doesn’t point to a solution, check to ensure you have the latest versions of the plugin and theme.

I would like to know if with this theme is it possible to have a “Shop” option? We will selling services like tours, hotels options, activities and we would also have the option to sell products

With this theme is it possible to have the option to pay online in some tours and in another ones to pay offline by cash, with only the pre-booking option.

The option for bundled pro booking, means what? that one customer can buy in one simple time, more than one service at a time? for example, buying a tour for day one, and buying another option for a different day, but paying all together?

1 – Yes, you can have a shop page and sell anything you like. We fully support woocommerce and so you can run a full ecommerce store.

2 – Yes, well sort of. You can use different payment methods in WooCommerce, the customer would need to choose at the time of checkout. If you wanted this to be more automated, you could use something like this: https://woocommerce.com/products/conditional-shipping-and-payments/ – Please keep in mind that we have not tested this plugin.

3 – Yes, that should work although its designed to book a tour, then checkout, there is no reason that I can think of, that would prevent a customer from going back, choosing a new tour and paying for it all at one time. :)

1- Another question related with your answer… so lets see an example: my customer Wants to book a hotel night (one service, he chooses one day), than he would like to add an activity for the same day (another service, another supplier) and plus, he wants to go to the “shop” option and buy a gift (product). All of this goes to the same checkout cart, and he’s able to pay for the total?

2- When a customer makes a purchase, it will be sent automatically an email? if yes, can we edit this option with this Embark theme, and customize it? (maybe this is included with the woocommerce option. Sorry I’m new in this WP world.

3- In this shop option where I’ll have products, this option (conditional-shipping-and-payments) would be great, to add the shipping options. It’s only available using an external plugin or if we edit the css, is it manageable?

Hi,

1 – The booking system that we ship with is a based off of timeslots or all day periods. We don’t have multi day capabilities. Our hotel theme does, https://themeforest.net/item/bellevue-hotel-bed-breakfast-booking-theme/12482898 – However, if booking a service it’s great. Yes, you can add extras via the payment add on that is also included.

2 – Yes, with booked, the customer is sent an autoresponder. You can control what this says.

3 – Conditional shipping would need to make use of a plugin, once it’s enabled it should work seamlessly but we have not tested any 3rd party conditional shipping plugin yet.

1. Yes it is a whole package in the sense that all you need to purchase is the theme which includes a booking system and optional payments component so you can start taking payments right away.

2, 3. At this time the booking system does not support recurring payments. Each booking is for one booking time.

Hi! I have installed the theme, choosing “Hop&Wine” as the model preset. But my theme seems to follow “Rafting” style. All the presets for home, tours, etc. are for “rafting”

Hi, that’s interesting. I just did a test install and after selecting Hop & Vine, that is what was imported – so I haven’t been able to replicate the issue.

Did you run the theme setup more than one time perhaps? If you want to start over, we always recommend using a WordPress reset plugin to prevent issues: https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-wp-reset/

Pre-buy questions: We are a tour company doing both day- and multi-day tours.

1.) Is it possible to set limits to possible booking time? (i.e. a tour has to be booked 3 days prior to start date, otherwise it becomes unavailable)

2.) Is it possible to set a minimum number of participants for a tour?

...or alternatively (best to have both possibilities)

3.) Is it possible to set a different prices for different amounts of participants? (i.e. 30€ for 1-4 people; 20€ for 5-8; etc.)

4.) Group booking – meaning that a tour is blocked after the first booking and not open to more customers, even if the max participants is not met.

5.) Visibility of tour availabilities (i.e. if a tour is already booked on the platform, the date is excluded or made unavailable in the schedule)

3. Yes, if you mean amounts of people in a group. When you setup a tour (variable product) you can choose to set the prices for each number of person so it can be cheaper or the same rate for a larger group.

4. Yes – each booking is a slot so if you want to allow just one group then you set the booking slots to one available so only one group can book and/or pay.

Hello, a Pre-purchase question if I may

Our client is a tour operator and already has a site setup using WooCommerce and the premium WooCommerce Bookings plugin.

The client uses Elementor and loves the templates that are part of Embark. However, client has no interests in the Booked functionality.

Basically, we’d be buying this for the Elementor templates and the WooCommerce page stylings, which look great.

Are we going to have any problems incorporating Embark into what we have? The Booked functionality is a Plugin we can leave off, right? And not something baked into the theme file code?

Hi, that is no problem. The booking system is included but it’s a separate plugin that can just be deactivated/deleted and then none of the plugin resources will be loaded.

- Yes the booking system does tie into WooCommerce, that is the system the payments functionality is setup with. The Tour single pages ( http://bit.ly/2q7e6DO ) however are their own custom post type where all info is setup independently through the Elementor builder, and then can be linked to purchase through WooComm or link to Booked

- Yes, the payments component is entirely optional – it’s an included add-on plugin

- Are you referring to the filters that appear above the Tour Grid? ( https://cl.ly/2y1I2U0n3U2W ) – They can be anything you want
