Hey, just a question as a Gauge user; is this theme functionally identical to Gauge? I see the small list of improvements this theme has, but will Gauge be updated to match these features, if it hasn’t already?

Gauge and Huber perform essentially the same function, review content using hubs and reviews. However the differences/improvements outlined are exclusive to Huber and will not be included in Gauge.

Can I use the new version of visual composer website builder? Or can huber only be used with wpbakery page builder?

I’ve not tested the new Visual Composer with the theme, you’ll need to contact the developers and ask them whether a site currently using WPBakery Page Builder plugin and custom elements will work with the new plugin.
Visual Composer Website Builder works with all properly coded themes without any problems. What does “properly coded theme” means? There is an official WordPress Codex which states rules which need to be followed when you develop your WordPress theme. At the moment there is no mechanism to migrate your layout from the WPBakery Page Builder plugin to the Visual Composer Website Builder. Visual Composer core team plan to introduce migration tool later on.
I have not received a direct response to this question, but these are the answers from their faq page. If I start using visual composer website builder from the start do you think it should work?
So yes the plugin should work, but as it says if you’re created any page layouts with the old WPBakery plugin these will not work with the new plugin.

Could you add the ability to the visual compsoer modules for your theme (showcase, blog etc. modules) to allow users to filter by specific tags (with a field to include tags we want to display and only these ones or else it’s kinda useless) ?
That’s a basic feature i have on all my themes, and now that i’m settings everything up with huber i realize it can’t be achieved. It can be filters by hub fields which is limited as hub fields doesn’t have the same purpose as post tags.

Fantastic. To be clearer (as English is not my mother tongue) i’m refering to enhancing the following visual composer modules (showcase, blog, carousel etc. well all visual composer modules used by Huber, I’m not referring to filter widget that filter hub fields) with :
In modules sections where we choose the posts we want to display :
- A field to include post by tags (as many as we want)
- A field to exclude posts by tags (as many as we want – rarely useful as including tags is 99.99% of the time faster than excluding tags because there are generally hundreds of tags)
AND in filter section of modules :
- A field to create a frontend filter (the same that is created with “categories” that display subcategories you know) post by tags (by including as many as we want) which will allow users to filter by post tags on frontend instead of being limited to hub fields (not the best to filter) and categories (still no the best because even if it works with single categories, it forces admin to create subcategories to sort its content – and so to create duplicate content – as there is no possibility right now to sort by tags which is a much more convenient way to do a fine sorting as it prevents to submit our posts to multiple categories > single category + fine sorting with few tags)
- A field to filter post by tags (by excluding as many as we want – again excluding is rarely useful by still good to have)

Another suggestion too : the ability to display list format also in a compact way without any thumbnails (but still be able to chose if we want to include post meta) in order to create a more compact “news” sections for exemple that would be more suitable for this purpose for example, you know what i mean ?
I understand, as I say these requests are noted and if they become highly requested I will look into adding them. Generally specific suggestions like these may need to be done as custom work.
I don’t think you’ll receive lot of requests, to what i see users generally don’t bother sending requests, they install, leave default settings, default colors etc.. I hope even if you don’t receive other requests you could still include it, i have 14 premium themes, and this feature is litterally in every single theme i have but this one (and maybe gauge, i didn’t check it as huber = better gauge). Thanks.
Or maybe it would be simplier/easier for you to allow more than one category in filter section (why just one category allowed?) and that it takes into account the real id (be it a category or sub-category id) we include and not display the subcategories instead of the parent categories like it does in current state (which forces us to create subcategories if we want to use that filter feature), you know what i mean ?
These things will take time to integrate upon the existing system, but I’ll definitely look into them.

Also the summary and review scores at the bottom of a review post can this be moved to the top easily.

1) Yes you can review any type of content you want including sports products.
2) This is a one-off payment, which includes 6 months of support with the option to increase to 12 months at a discount. If you then require support after this period has ended you will need to pay for a new support license.
3) Yes there is an option to move this to the top.

In what context are you referring to? In the page header or page content you add the video URL so you can add rel=0 to the end of the URL.

The theme doesn’t have this option unfortunately. But you could override this with custom CSS.
After filtering posts, Is it possiblr array the filterd posts by votes count or comment count or likes count? I am using Gauge theme, I can set the array and period in one page. But I can’t find that in Hubrer

No this is not possible, the front-end write a review form only allows users to post reviews to existing hubs.

Hello! I’ve purchased three of your themes and absolutely love this one. My support has expired but I simply want to have comments enabled on hub pages. The option is activated on each individual page but it doesn’t show up on any of the Hubs. Do I really need to renew support to get this fixed?

Hey, Ghostpool was working on my little gaming site bringing it back from the back burner if you would but between this one and the site I bought the Aardvark theme for its been a mess that with work but you know how that is.
So, now that I am around I would like to make a couple of suggestions.
Option To Hide Sidebar & Footer On Mobile (similar to Aardvark).
In aardvark, there is the option too only show the sidebar on desktop devices (instead of including it on mobile as well) this goes for the footer widgets as well. Would you consider adding the same logic to this theme?
I run a check with the wp_is_mobile function to do it currently but I think it would be beneficial for everyone if it were added this way.
Option To Choose A Sidebar Or Disable It For Hub Pages
The hub pages such as forums, videos, would be nice to either have the option to hide the sidebar or use a different one.
I found that the image tab sidebar was being excluded in the hub-template.php so I simply added on to the forums page and video page.
Also being able to select what type of Sidebar, say on the forums I want a sidebar on the left-hand side to include the recent topics from all the forums that would make them seem more unique.
Write A Review Tab URL Structure
Out of curiosity could we do this in a similar fashion to the way Gauge has it. I mean in terms of URL structure for instance, when I was using Gauge the write a review page ranked quite often because people would search for instance the most popular one.
For Honor Write A Review (which my page ranked for).
So could we get the structure to be on the same level as the other hub tabs?

Final Note: Going to include my little optimization plugin in another comment specifically for this theme, and I am going to make an updated video for this theme and aardvark probably tomorrow when I am not at the office, that way you can use it.
Also, quick feature idea as well if you wanted to add it.
There is a toolbar color that can be added (mobile devices it will change the color on chrome, opera, etc to whatever color you select). I added this in one of my themes that uses Redux Options Framework.

(just echo the theme option to return the toolbar color). I currently have this added with a plugin for my site that I wrote but its a nice quick feature that can be added with copy and paste functionality.
The code I used to register the option in the config.php is as follows.

IOS has its own option which is annoying so you would either need to have them select the dark or normal color so I didn’t even bother adding the functionality as of yet.

Thanks for your suggestions. I would love to add every request my customers make but sometimes it isn’t possible due to time constraints and it not being financially beneficial.
However if this becomes highly requested I will considering adding it, but please note that requests are just customisations with a different name which is not included in the sale price. If you want these features integrated into the theme this can be done as custom work.
