My client bought the template through his account. I downloaded, installed and imported the template for a local use first.
Everything seems fine except one thing : the WPBakery Page Builder doesn’t display the different blocs. To see what there is on the homepage demo for example, I have to swtich to the classic mode.
Is this a common issue with the template/plugin ? Do I have to go the plugin support ?

But the theme installed was downloaded the 17/03, it’s the 1.2.5 version (latest verison) but the plugin WP Bakery is the 5.4.4 version and the latest verison is the 5.4.7.

There is no out-of-the-box way to duplicate a room post. What you can do is, copy the main content and manually set the page options. To copy all content at once, switch the editor to Classic Mode, copy all content and, paste it into a new room. Then switch the new room to Backend Editor. To finish, you only need to set Page Options according to the original room. It is not duplication but will save you some time.

Just make sure you have extracted the package locally on your computer and selected the appropriate files to upload. We recommend uploading both hotel-xenia.zip and hotel-xenia-child.zip files and, activate the child theme. If you try to upload the package as is, will not install as it includes other files like the documentation etc. If the issue persists, try downloading the whole package again from your Envato Account and repeat the procedure. If everything fails, contact us through our ticket system to investigate for a resolution.
Hello, I got a question regarding the testimonial slider; When I choose to not display an image, the image column still remains in the HTML, making it very hard to center the content. Any idea how to solve this?

If you need a complete reservations system, we recommend adding a third party application like https://pinpoint.world/wordpress-booking/ which, by default, includes a Pay Pal gateway for online payments.

You need to make a couple of adjustments to the tag names produced by the forms to match with the plugin’s requests. First, install the plugin and then, search for the tag names pinpoint uses. Then use these tag names on the appropriate fields on our system. You need to edit both the shortcode and the widgets and, change the tag names currently set to correspond to the special contact form we have created to send the booking request.

Hi, i already purchase the theme, but i am not seeing the top header widget area. Is very important to have that part to add widgets, to add local weather plugin, location place menu etc. So i have to modify the function.php and header.php, but my css guy is on vacation. Hi! On my admin the WPBakery Page Builder backend editor shows up blank though there are [wc_row]s in the code and the site is displayed correctly. It used to work but now i can’t edit my pages. Do you know any incompatibility issues with the Page Builder plugin?

Hotel Xenia comes with a generic functionality, that drives visitors to a simple booking form request. This was intentional, since most of the hotel owners have already their own booking management system, usually using the services of an external provider. We have a shortcode ( the one you can see on the home page, asking check-in / check-out, etc ) that can pass the basic booking information to a simple contact form OR to an external booking management provider that supports receiving booking form data from external sources.
If you need to manage your bookings on your own site ( with real-time availability, direct booking and payments, etc. ) you are free to use any of the free/premium plugins provided in the market. Since we develop our themes with respect to the WordPress Codex quality guidelines, you will not face any issues using a well coded bookings plugin…even if you do, we are always here to assist you with our 5-star customer support.

You may use Slider Revolution if you need. Our theme supports this plugin out-of-the-box. After installing and activating, add a new slider. Then, edit a page you need to insert the slider and navigate to Page Options > Media Panel. Set Background Type to Slider Revolution; a new drop down list will appear bellow, allowing for selecting the slider you added before. Don’t forget to save/update page to let the changes apply.

Most of the theme, nowadays, let WPML manage the flag and let WPML put the flag inside the menu. They offer this “native wpml option” : see screeshots IPAD <Flag Tablet.jpeg> / IPHONE <FlagIphone.jpeg>

It is possible to place a language switcher on a separate place (not inside menu). You can use our Nav Mini Tools on Header Section. It will replace the Book Now button you see on our demo. The particular placeholder remains off menu when viewing on medium and small screens (mobile devices and small tablets).
First, you need to go to WPML settings and customize the switcher. Next go to Dashboard > Theme Options > Header > Nav Mini Tools and enable Custom Markup. On the field, enter [wpml_language_selector_widget] replacing our custom markup (if you have imported the demo).
If you don’t erase our markup, both buttons will appear one over the other but you may need to customize the area with custom CSS to look best.

The latest WP Baker Page Builder version is included on each theme update. In between updates, other versions (mostly minor fixes that may not have a noticeable effect) may become available but you can simply ignore them an continue working. You don’t need to provide a licence as far as you stick to our update method. In other case, you may purchase a licence and switch to plugin update method (currently the plugin updates by the theme) and, you will be receiving support from WP Bakery, not from us.
As far as we can recommend, you don’t have to worry about plugin updates and keep our update method. All functionality of WP Bakery Page Builder is guaranteed and you’ll be getting the latest version on each theme update.

A typical mistake with the activation of the theme is uploading the full package to WordPress. Note that, the package you are getting from Envato contains several files and folders and, you need to extract it locally on your computer first. Then, carefully select the theme file and upload it to the installation.

Hi there, i have a pre-sale question about secondary menu “Extra” which is confusing me :
- on your (great) admin demo site, i didn’t find how to change it (rename it for instance, or move it around)
- i also find it weird that this extra menu is used as a mobile menu, because we then can’t use it for anything fancy, unless mobile users are just left with no navigation menu !
- on some of the pages of your demo site, i believe i saw a different content for this menu, how can i do that…
And another totally different thing : as many services template, there is a testimonials post type, but i couldn’t find a way for visitors to fill a testimonial form, shouldn’t we have one ?!

- To change the content of the particular area you need to go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets and locate Mobile View Sidebar. You can add any widget there; if you need to assign a menu, use the Custom Menu widget.
- This widgetized area can be used to put any widget you like, including some secondary menus (through the menu widget) that are used to show things hat are not so important for the user to see in the main menu. When it comes to mobile, the main menu automatically inserts itself on top of this area, before any other widgets you may have put. So nothing is lost for mobile users.
- We don’t believe we have showcased this behavior but you can do that through the “Widget Visibility” module of JetPack https://jetpack.com/support/widget-visibility/
- About Testimonials, it does not replace comments; we’ve chosen this way because hotel owners need to have complete control over the content displayed in their website. You can use other ways for collecting testimonials like (an example) a contact form.

To change the label text, go to Dashboard > Theme Options > Header > Mobile Nav Sidebar and on the Label Text (above threshold ) field, enter the text you need. Save changes to let it apply.
On each page or globally, you can set the navigation menu to remain visible on top of the screen; we call this Sticky Menu and can be enabled on Dashboard > Theme Options > Header > Sticky Header. More options are available on the tab for achieving best appearance and behavior.
You can set a custom menu on any page displaying on standard or sticky menu mode using Page Options (will override any global settings). About slugs, we recommend using native WordPress input fields (permalinks) available when editing any post type, right under post title.

Just wanted to let you know that an option to set the Alt Tag of the uploaded Logo should be added, because right now the logo always has “Hotel Xenia” defined as the alt tag, which is really bad for SEO. Hardcoding it until your next update (hopefully also with the newest Visual Composer)!

Actually, you can change Alt Tag in a few simple steps; first go to Dashboard > Header > Logo and set Logo Layout to Title Only. On the provided field, enter the title you need and save changes. Now, switch back to Image Only Logo Layout and save changes once again. At this point, if you visit your website and check, the Alt Tag should have been replaced with the text you entered on the Title field of the Logo Layout.
