Is it possible for you to forewarn your customers that they will need to re-load the associated plugins – The Social Counter was deactivated because it’s not compatible with the latest newsmag version – As a result all my widgets no longer show the Social Counter Widget so having to re-add to over 50 sets of widgets after loading news version – Not funny and wasting our time.

Please notice that when you update the theme, you should update all of your plugins which come bundled with the theme, like Social Counter plugin. So, notice that if you will have the latest version of the theme with an old plugin, this one will be automatically disabled until this will be updated.

If you’re using the Envato Market plugin for updates, you don’t get the plugins which are bundled which is why I suggest a warning would be appropriate ?

We have seen plugins remove theme options before so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I have downloaded this theme. But theres lot of troble taking to instal it.file size is 31 mb or something. And then when m uploading it to server its not extracting it properly. I have a doubt that file u have sold me is not valid

The trending now element title can be translated from the theme translation section. Redesigning it, will involve altering the theme files as there are no customization options for this button.

If you are having problems with social count, AMP and Composer plugin after update, go to your installed plugins, delete them, go back to Newsmag plugin section and reinstall. This fixed mine. https://techmymoney.com my site, follow and like. thanks

I don’t quite understand what CSS you want to remove. Those are the post views, they can be disabled in the theme panel if needed and they will not be displayed in individual post pages. So any CSS created for them will not be loaded.

Hi tagDiv,
Your theme was heavily depended on TinyMCE for formatting text, like adding nice quotes, dropcaps, etc. as seen in your demo. Now after the recent TinyMCE updates, none of those things are available anymore.
What are your suggestions for bringing back all those Blue Large Font quotes, dropcaps, etc. into the theme?

You probably haven’t updated the TinyMCE plugin. After the update, that button doesn’t exist anymore: https://i.imgur.com/Q5pIeab.png
Dropcaps are also gone from the “Format” part, which they were before: https://i.imgur.com/x0WDa6B.png
^ This is with the newest TinyMCE Advanced plugin updated.
Any other options?

The tiny mce advanced plugin is not part of WordPress or the new WordPress update. it is a third party plugin and is not tested with our theme.
The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:
WP Super Cache- caching plugin Contact form 7- used to make contact forms bbPress- forum plugin BuddyPress- social network plugin Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site WooCommerce- eCommerce solution WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars WPML – multilingual plugin
Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not.

I see. Okay, but your theme did use Dropcaps, right? And now they’re gone. So that’s the main question – where did the Dropcaps go, because they disappeared.
Any thoughts on what could be the issue that they’re now gone and it’s not an option in the theme? I think this happened after the latest Wordpress update.

The dropcaps are still present on the default tiny mce, not on tiny mce advanced. The new version could no longer be fully compatible anymore. The dropcaps are still in the same spot as no changes were made in this regard: https://www.screencast.com/t/1XkVw4FMf

Im using Big Grid 3 in my site, is there any possibility to change it to show 4 blocks instead of 3? I just want to add one more and make the smaller. I can modify the code, just can’t find where the Big Grid codes are.

The shortcode for Big Grid 3 can be found here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/3Ps2L4hbO So, if you want to change the style of this Big Grid you should edit this file. Notice that is not a simple task and we do not recommend to change the Big Grid style because the layout of the theme can be easily broken. Also, if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Can you be sure to make the theme gdpr compliant? GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and it is a new data protection law in the EU, which comes into force in May 2018. The GDPR provides much stronger rules than existing laws and is much more restrictive than the “EU cookie law.” The penalty for non compliance can be up to € 20 million, or in the case of an undertaking, up to 4% of the total worldwide annual turnover of the preceding financial year, whichever is higher.
