Incredible theme!
I would like to ask 3 questions:
1 – How does the theme behave when there are no photos? Example: A big event occurs, but no photos yet … Does the theme put a blank or does the text occupy the place that would be in the photo?
2 – Is there any Fake User tool or start with a certain number of views!
3 – Is there a possibility of Unique Articles?

1/ Yeah, there is no any error when your posts/pages doesn’t exists the photo. The theme will show a placeholder image replace on that place or doesn’t display that image. Everything make sure your layout display fine in all case.
2/ Yes, you can edit count of posts viewed via edit each posts screen.

Love your theme…Publisher just disappeared and we are using on our current site filemakertoday.com, go figure…do you have an import from another theme option like Jannah and other mag theses do?. If you do you have his sold 3 copies.! This feature will help you with 1000’s of others like me that bought the publisher theme. LMK ASAP
By disappeared I mean permanently pulled from ENVATO for being sneaky bad people . Now might be a good time to have a Publisher replacement sale…you would kick some serious sales ass as it had over 5000 sales to suckers like me!

Hi do you have any plans to support custom fields across widgets, penci blocks in build queries etc? Everything seems to support custom post types but not custom fields? From the likes of ACF or Toolset.

For custom fields, you need to do that for yourself – because with custom fields, you need to get the fields based on fields ID – we can’t know what’s the fields you will use, how much fields you will use and what’s format you want to appears on the front-end.

Hi sorry I mean in a build query there is no way to use custom field data to build a query for example on a penci block.
There is also no way to pull the custom field and display it on a penci block? You could build an integration so these fields can be display on a penci block like other themes?

As I knew, no any theme on the Envato supports Build Query with too much options like this theme – and no any theme supports to pull the custom field you created ( not custom fields from the themes ) and display it on a block. There is no way to do that because as I said on my previous comment: we can’t know what’s the fields you will use, how much fields you will use and what’s format you want to appears on the front-end.

That isn’t true, Wpbakery standard blocks support custom fields. You can create custom build queries and include them. Penci blocks etc don’t seem to support custom fields.

Example: I use Advanced Custom Fields plugin and create 10 fields for a custom posts type. Can you tell me how we can detect all that 10 custom fields and add it to “Build queries” button? There is no way to do that.

Well Wpbakery lets you write the build query in code and identify the field numbers etc. However, I am more talking about on your build query options for example having “order by” show the custom fields in the list. And also having the ability to show custom fields below the content by for example having a box where we could insert the custom field variables relating to the post

Like you just said – It can. But this theme doesn’t supports this feature. That’s really a hard feature because we can make some fields and you can fill your custom fields ID there – but, we can’t know how much fields you will use for a block to create it & where on the front-end you want to display that fields. So, I think currently, there is no way to do that. I think you can understand this.

i run an online community and hundreds of clients of publisher theme complain me about this feature. After searching i found your theme which is exactly the same as publisher theme and i did notice that its in early stage and can be a good alternative for publisher theme. Great job on your PenNews theme. Have bought plenty of themes over the years and I am happy with it so far.
Penci Block 12 looks different when my homepage is from a static page than site’s recent posts. When I turn the static page option off the block resembles your demos. The problem is the spacing between each post and how the post meta aligns with the featured image.
Here are some other concerns and feature requests.
1. The controls for the YouTube player only appear when I use certain post templates.. 2. Could you add a “source link” field in the editor, so they don’t appear in the excerpt? 3. The ability to add your own excerpt would be greatly appreciated. 4. The theme doesn’t use the post template I select when I edit a post, it just uses the template selected in customizer.

When you done, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and re-install that plugin – and you can get latest version from WPBakery Page Builder plugin.

Hello. I want to report some issue: my client purchased your theme and when we activated Smooth Scrolling, there was some issue about scrolling. Maybe it was some JS conflict. site scrolling with track pad was stopped. Or if you manually scroll with browser right site bar, then worked scroll only down to up (not up to down).
Please check this issue, active Smooth scrolling and check/fix it.
At the moment our fix step was disabling this feature.
p.s. i liked your amazing theme and want to purchase it for my own project, so please update theme as soon as possible and add this feature also – create your own header. Header builder will be so so cool!
