Hi there, yes Waqas created the code for us to add, but he said it would not be affected by updates – which it has been. I don’t see why we have to pay for support when something has gone wrong due to an update. Waqas assured me that the code would still work despite future updates but this isn’t the case. I’ve had issues with the site when updates have happened within your theme, and this is not good nor fair for people to have to pay for support when things happen that aren’t of their doing but the developers. I’m all for paying for support when I need help with something I have caused but I don’t think it’s fair when it is down to your own updates.
Also, Waqas said that the capability to search within the agent area by ref or address would become part of the core theme in the next update – which it seems to have not been. I really don’t think it’s fair then for us to have to pay for support again to get this sorted.
It were not bug my friend, it were customization to change how search work for your specific need and this kind of support even not include in paid support. You are setting wrong example here to get support without renew license and even support regarding customization, not bugs.
No, Waqas said that what we were asking for was to be included in the core theme and that the code that was given to us was to help us out. He also stated that the code would not be affected by future updates and it has been. I’m happy to pay for support when it’s fair but in this case why should I pay for something that I’ve not caused to break? Your updates caused it and so that’s not really fair is it? I’ve given you guys 5 stars and now I have a client who isn’t happy as their site seems to break every time there is an update. This then reflects bad on us, and so now I have to pay out of my own pocket to get your help?

You did the customisation when we had support. So the code has broken since support ran out – and due to an update. And as the code was done within the child theme it should not be affected by updates, but it has been AND that is not right my friend.
We gave you extra favour and did customization for you and you are using that extra favour against us. You know customization is not even include in paid support but we did it for you. Now we cannot my friend, you have to renew support license. Envato not allow us to give support without valid support license. I hope you understand

it were something new so he said “Will suggest team to add this too” i don’t know why team not added, there will be many reasons, may this change not required for other 9800 clients or they don’t want to change it. This will be reason he gave you extra favour and customized it only for you free. Normally in this case, client have to hire someone to make their specific changes/customizations. We have to see other clients too for change or new features.

I think you’re being out of order here making out you’ve done a customisation for me when really the search in the agent area should allow you to look for properties via ref or address. Searching by headings is just not practical, and Waqas agreed and said it would be added to the main core. He kindly gave me the code before this would be added to the core – but now the code does not work since an update. So, is that my fault? Why should I have to pay for support when the code you have given me while I did have paid support breaks since? I don’t think the Envato policy is very fair if I now have to extend support for something that I’ve not caused. This means I potentially have to pay for support forever, just in case your update causes code that you have given me, to break.

Yes you added the half map sort, eventually, which was great. So what about the agent search? And please can you answer my points above? I got the code from you guys while I had support. The code since an update does not work. So now I have to pay for support, to make the code that you gave me correct again when I was told it wouldn’t be affected on updates? Surely you can see my point here?

P.S I’m sure, like me, when people look at your theme and demo that they actually presume you can search within the agent area like you can on the front end. Only after purchasing your theme and our client actually adding lots of properties, did it come to light that the agent search is not as thorough as the main search. May I suggest asking your team why this has not been added? And if they had not planned to add it, then why wasn’t I told? Rather than leave me with the impression that it would be?

You have not answered my points. 1) The code was given to me while I was on support 2) I was given the impression my request of the search in the agent area to include ref and address would be added to the main theme 3) the code given to me has stopped working since an update 4) While on support, it took from 18 Jan to 15 May this year to get a solution to this issue http://prntscr.com/k5l68c 5) Not once did Waqas explain that this would never be included in the main theme or that there was a risk that the code may not work after an update 6) why should I get my client to sign up for support just to ensure that whenever there is an update their website works? 7) the code supplied should continue to work after updates
To meet half way, I will suggest to my client to sign up for support of your theme for future issues. But in principle I think it is only fair for you guys to review the code given by Waqas so that it works and will continue to work when there are updates. Otherwise confidence in your theme will become negative by our client and this will impact on our business. We would therefore have to consider a different theme for estate agencies in future, which would be a shame.
In principle, we must not do free customization for you so cannot face this issue. we gave you huge extra favour which you are trying to use against us. We can offering you free customization in return of support license renew which is required by Envato. That is what we can do the maximum.
So are you telling me you will never include in the main theme, within the agent search, the capability to search by ref or addresses? I was never told it was a customisation as a favour! You are using that against me more like. And you’ve still not answered my point, that the code does not work since an update – despite being on a child theme. Why?

Hello, we bought your theme in August 2017, during this time we were developing it using only one language. Now, while working on the second language, we detected a large number of problems related to translations. For example, the login method is showing me a different string from the one it should, if i’m logging in in the english version the error message i get for not filling my username field is shown in the wrong language, this is not the only time it happens, it happens in a lot of places, another example is the submit property form, emails not sending the whole information inserted in the manage emails tabs in backoffice, etc… A lot of this stuff is hardcoded and only a user with code knowledge can change your settings. We would consider renewing the support if we this were due to our lack of knowledge, however, these are critical bugs that are happening on your theme.

I saw, you straight away come and give 1 star rating. You never contact with us or WPML for any issue. Houzez is 100% WPML compatible https://wpml.org/theme/houzez/ just make sure you are using latest houzez version 1.6.3.1

We are currently in contact with WPML and it’s been many hours trying to get to this to work. On the production website we have an older version of this theme, while on the development server we have the latest version and the same problems occur.

I’m trying to track down a conflict this theme has with iHomeFinder. I think it happened in the last 1-2 updates. Basically, form popups do not work in iHomeFinder. There is a conflict with the onclick handler passing an inline style to display it.
I did disable Houzez. And activated Twenty Fourteen and the popups work, so I don’t think it is a plugin conflict.
Has Houzez changed anything in the last 2 versions that may have change/conflict with this. Thanks.
Actually, this is something that could have been happening much longer. It seems the popups work in Firefox, but not in Chrome.
I think I tracked down what is happening. Both iHomefinder and Houzez are using Bootstrap 3.XX. Somehow Houzez is conflicting with the implementation of BS Modals. I actually tested this by adding the plugin: Bootstrap Modals . And it began working again. A hack. Be great if you could give any clarification on this. Thanks.
Ok. Just to try and be helpful to those that may have this conflict with iHomeFinder. What I did is push the themes Bootstrap JS to the header by setting: wp_enqueue_script(‘bootstrap.min’, get_template_directory_uri() . ’/js/bootstrap.min.js’, array(‘jquery’), ‘3.3.5’, true);
To false. Seems to be working now. Not sure if this the best way.
That’s what I originally had implemented. However, the way they tell you to inject it into the header, does not work in Chrome (only in Firefox). I did get it to work by putting it into the Footer section of the custom code section of Houezz. Just in case some people are wondering. In the end, if you want to to use iHomeFinder you will be pulling in 3 versions of bootstrap, which is unfortunate. Possibly still the cleanest way would be just to use the modal plugin listed above.

Before I purchase this theme I have a few questions: 1. Does this theme work globally i.e. all the mapping and positioning functions? 2. Does the theme support ecommerce such as Woocommerce? 3. As I am based in South Africa I need a payment system like PayFast – am I able to integrate this into the theme? 4. Are customers able to register their own properties on the website is this done through an admin page by the site owner? 5. Are the new customer registration fields totally customisable?
