Can’t find where to add the contact info on the header bar. It should be a super easy update, I just can’t find where to input the info!
It’s in the header top bar menu, you can add/edit it in Appearance -> Menus. Select the Header Top Bar menu to edit. If it doesn’t exist, create a new menu, then set the Menu Location to “Top Bar Navigation”.
To add an email, select the Custom Links tab from the left hand side, set the URL and Link Text as below:

Hi, when the screen width is < 991px the Google Map element vanishes—leaving only the white background colour. I cannot determine why this is the case. It works perfectly on screen widths >= 991px. I’ve tried disabling plugins, etc.. to no avail. Thanks!
Hi, you may need to check the column settings and make sure you’ve enabled it on any screens and devices.
Edit the settings of the column container of that Google Maps element, select in Responsive Options tab, and then uncheck all boxes in “Hide on device?” to show it on any devices.
Hi, thanks for getting back to me on this. I’ve checked these settings and they’re correctly configured. I’ve narrowed it down to the column with the following classes: ‘vc_col-md-12 column wpb_column no-padding’.
I’ve added a custom class to this column, and given it the following CSS properties to fix it: .gmap-col.no-padding { height: 100%; width: 100%; padding-top: 0 !important; padding-bottom: 0 !important } @media (max-width: 767px) { .gmap-col.no-padding { padding-left: 0 !important; padding-right: 0 !important; } } I do not know why, but the width is reduced to 0px on the 991px screen break-point. Another thing I’ve noticed is that, with AJAX page loading enabled, the Google Map doesn’t load in correctly. Again there is a white blank space where the map should be. A hard page reload brings the Google Map into the page content, but the AJAX load does not. Thanks

I just tried that YouTube link, it seems to work on our site. I have no idea why it doesn’t work on yours.
Try to update your WordPress site and the Vela theme including all plugins to see if it works.
If it still does’t work, it might be a plugin related issue, try to deactivate other plugins to see if it works.
Good Afternoon, I have a problem using the Vela’s portfolio. I prepared a page and added the Vela:Portfolio module. After that, I created some portfolio items that I want to see in it.
My problem is: everything is displayed in the page (image, categories, name of the portfolio item, etc), but when clicking the image, a 404 page displays. I cannot find how to have the page to display correctly.
It is probably a simple & stupid trick, but I’m getting crazy with this one… Any help would be great! Thank you for you answer & best regards

Anyway, this is a permalink settings caching issue. If it happens again, you can easily fix it by visiting the Permalinks Settings page in Settings -> Permalinks on your WordPress admin.

I noticed a bug with tabs. I created tabs with the Page Builder.
There are 2 tabs : “Offres d’emplois” and “Stages”. If I click on “Stages”, only one blog news is displayed. But all news appear if I just resize (even a little) the window browser. Same bug if I click then on the first tab “Offres d’emplois”.
It’s the same on any browser.

There is a script error on your site. You have a plugin called Advanced Ajax Page Loader that includes its own jQuery library but it is out of date for the new version of WordPress. This causes your site couldn’t work correctly. This issue was reported in the plugin support page over a year ago but there is no response from the plugin author as you can see below:

After checking the plugin details, it was updated over 2 years ago and the latest compatible version of WordPress is 4.5.x as you can see in the right sidebar on the plugin page below:

This is a caching issue. After inspecting your site with Safari on iPhone, it is still loading script files from the AJAX Page Loader plugin.
If you have any cache plugin on your site, try to deactivate it to see if it works.

Hi – we saw that same response online however when you click theme options that is no button that says google maps…how do we find this section where we can enter the API key?
Also, how are we able to generate an API key? Where would this be written?
Our goal here is not to have google maps on the website we want to disable this functionality from the theme.
Can you please provide detailed step by step how we can do this in the theme.
Initially – we waited several days to get a response and we have paid for the support however do not see that we are getting responses any faster.

I’m sorry for the late reply! Actually, the response time should be within 24 hours. However, I was on holiday a couple of days ago and there were several questions in the past few days so it took a long time.
The Google Maps API Key has been added to the Theme Options since Vela 1.8.7 (July, 2016). Please ensure that you are using that version or greater. You will find the link to generate a Google Maps API key in the Google Maps section on the Theme Options panel, or check out the link below: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key#key
If you wouldn’t like to have Google Maps on your site, you don’t need to setup the API key and will need to disable the AJAX Page Transitions in Theme Options -> Page -> AJAX Options to disable the Google Maps API.

Sure, you can add a Product element from the page builder to any page. However, it will show only product image and price, other description won’t show up.
If you’d like to show the product description, you will need to add a Product Page element so it will show all details exactly the same as the single product page (details page).

The slider plugin was included in the Vela theme that we bought and it should update through it but it doesn’t anymore. When you open the website you can see at the top where the 2 images are that the buttons get started are without text and only color and on the page “About us” the whole text now as a link to the web site of our partners. Maybe you can help us to fix it or you can tell us how to update the slider?

Your site is using the latest compatible version so you don’t need to update it.
Also, that issue is not a bug of the plugin, you will need to change the text color of the button to different from the background color, you can find more on how to change the text color and background color of the button in the slider here: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/layer-styles-positioning/#background-advanced
Regarding the About Us page issue, it seems like you have set the link for the whole text in the first section of that page. You will need to edit the Custom Heading element to remove the link from the URL option.
Hi Vela! I’m hoping you can help. Love the theme, and recently we’ve taken new photos of our team members. In our team members slider, however, after selecting the new image we’d like to display>the image reloads correctly on the backend, we go to update the team member and it reverts to the old selected image. How do I add a recaptcha to the comments form? I tried a few google recaptcha plugins but none seem to work. At present my blog says “Your captcha here”.
I just tried the plugin below and it seems to work fine: https://wordpress.org/plugins/recaptcha-in-wp-comments-form/
However, the reCAPTCHA plugin will work with guest users without logging in (because spam or bot will access your site without logging in). If you’re logged in, you won’t see it.
Regarding the text “YOUR CAPTCHA HERE”, this is a bug of the theme, it will be removed in the next update. Thank you for reporting this issue.
