as per your installation instructions: Go to Extensions > Extensions, choose Modules from the Choose the extension type selector and install the Journal extension
but not show Journal in module
There could be a misconfiguration in your OC setup, or you haven’t imported a demo, works fine on our end. You should consider the support if you want our developers to take a look at your setup.

Not something theme related, something in your setup must be incorrect, not happening to anyone else. You’ll have to file a ticket with access to your store.
i try to contact support ticket but here show my support Expired . i install again new opencart in different folder through softaculous but same problem here and not show “Journal” in Module
Unfortunately support for Journal 3 is only provided on our support page. The theme is free but support is only available for 6 months.

ok but same problem appear to many other buyers, i see some buyer comments which face same problem. so i think this is theme problem
People who have isolated issues file tickets with access to their store. I assure you 99.9 don’t have this issue as you’d see only that in the comments.

As explained before the theme is free but support is not. It works fine for everyone else so not a general issue. Support is cheap now with theme on sale, in a few days or a week price will go back up, so you get 6 months of direct suppport and show your appreciation for the effort.

Hi, you shouldn’t buy 3rd party assets used in this theme expecting to use their original features because they may not be available. We only extract the core script but integrate it in our own system and adding our own options. However, in this case the external zoom is available as an option, look in Journal > Settings > Product Page > Product Image > Inner Zoom > OFF.

In places like product extras for tabs or places like layout ( especially when adding dedicated ones to categories, products, information) is it possible you guys will add a search function? If there are hundreds of items there, it would be hard to quantify and search. With a search box you could at least add some form of order to the way things are titled and then searching them via the search box would be easy.

That’s working fine as you can see in our demo, you must have a mobile menu module created and assigned in the skin. If you have trouble with this you need to file a ticket on our support page.

Probably not, your first screenshot was something entirely different, which is possible, not exactly, but in the general vicinity. We’ll have some demos with that type of header fairly soon so you might want to wait for those if you want something already made.

I don’t think the cart can be in the top bar exactly like that unfortunately, but we’ll have plenty of options to choose from.
Actually I don’t want the cart on the top bar. I want compact header with configurable top bar to add some links and info.
The Compact and Slim don’t have a top bar, they’re meant to be light and thin but we may add it in the future.

Is it safe to use rc on a live store until the final version released?
Thank you, 3.0.0 coming soon, a week or so. You can also use the theme now, even if there are some modules resets you can recreate only those modules so it’s not like the entire project will be recoded.
The default demo is being redesigned almost completely so if you want to start working with that best to wait as you’ll have to reimport and reset everything.
But if you plan to not use a demo and want to create your own styles, skin and modules you can go ahead now, those aren’t affected by the update.

^ Agreed, I know I have shackled them here in the chat with questions, and bug reports in ticket support, I already feel like I have taken more than I have paid 10 fold and still they come back professionally with resilience, always helpful.
Hands down the best framework I have ever laid my eyes on. Similar situation with the first demo, I’m waiting not to use other demos, but to see visually what is capable so I can reproduce it.

I know my opinion does not means much because I am not some professional user, but I used Journal 2 on OC2 for 4 years and now upgrading my shop to OC3 with template Journal 3 (J3) so I can write my opinion after few weeks of first J3 RC version.
I make my shop myself from beginning of my e-commerce path, and that is because I do not want to pay few 1000 euros to someone that will install Opencart, install template, make 2 changes and put in 5 products. So 5 years ago I started this project of mine without even know what is Opencart, I can say I am not sorry that I go by this path called “own way by myself”.
After start working my J3 store from first J3 outcome I can say that J3 is so powerful and perfect, that when I dream about it for a half year waiting to be released, I never dare to dream so big.
When I see first demo first time I was not very impressed, I expected something more exotic nevertheless that was only “taste it” demo, but now when I am working on J3 my own shop that will look nothing like that demo I can say it is not classical template where you need to pick one of the few demos you see, it is tool to make template you want, so only limit how good it will look is my imagination, and if I do not like anything after one year I will change it with few clicks.
It has options that offers me integration of every idea I have anywhere in shop, I made product page look exactly how I wanted it for 5 years from the time I first time installed some other template. I thought that was not even possible if I not hire some developer that will do custom work, but with J3 I can place everything anywhere I want.
So your template makes every my dream (crazy idea) just few clicks away.
It is made with a little bit different logic than J2, but when I started thinking J3 way is very logical and easy to understand.
If I add in whole package your support, I can only say respect guys.
I purchased a lot of extensions for Opencart (around 100) and there are three types of developers for Opencart extensions/templates, that vary mostly in support of product, and DA goes in no. 3 group – “RARE developers”.
1st – GREEDY developers: They charge integration of extension in your shop extra no matter it does not work out of the box on default template and on fresh OC install.
There are also developers that charge upgrades for their extensions after support time is expired, and you do not need their support, you just need update of their extension to remove some bug. Do not forget, bug = their mistake and I should pay for that. Not very good business practice.
In that category goes also that who never make any update, so if I use their extension I just hope that there is not some bug I will find it after some time.
So I rather not buy extension from this group again, because I am not reach

2nd are FRAUDSTER developers: This are ones that sell you something that never actually work, they give you support and say that everything is working perfectly even if not, and mistake is all yours because you are too big and their extension works only for people that does not have more than 155 cm if you understand what I mean with that
.
3rd I will call “RARE” developers (the ones that make using OC joy.) I can count with fingers of one hand authors which stands after they work and I purchased their extensions/template. If I like anything from them today I do not think twice before purchase. I know there will be no problems or if there will be any problem it will be solved today or after 5 years using their product. And DA is definitely one of 5 in that group, their support response is from few minutes to 24 hours, from Monday to Sunday. I used support only once in J2, but with J3 I contact them few times to report some bugs and if I did not find something, everything was solved with next update or with that response message. They are the best, give me feeling that they take time to respond on my question NOT just send some auto generated message not even related to my question and forget about me.
Today it is very hard to find people that stands after their work, but DA is 100% one that stands after their template. For J2 I was able to download every update for free without any valid support, and it does not matter if my support was expired 3,5 years ago. Because they understand that a lot of people does not need support, they just need update for newer version or to remove some bug. So all new futures were there to download every time, if I would update OC from OC2 to OC3, their template would be there for free.
That I will not be too long, I like to thank you once again for everything, if I will need any template for anything, I will 100% buy your work (licence) again, or if I know anyone looking for template will recommend your template.

Journal is so much more than what you see on the surface in the demos, but we realize that demos are what most people measure a theme’s worth by. So, with some unfortunate delays, we’re finally getting to that point where we can focus on design and you can expect some really creative stuff coming out in August and beyond.
We built this framework with a long term strategy in mind and hope to see it grow to new heights, alongside Opencart as a platform.

My question is: any advices on how to remove the div with class extended-container from homepage? It has some swiper elements (slideshow) but they’re empty. I didn’t dig a lot in the options of the theme, I hope it’s an easy and fast explanation.

Thank you, I found it by myself. I was just too lazy to search and decided to write here. It was from OC’s design menus – the builtin layout options from OpenCart.

Would it be possible to upgrade from Journal 2.15.5 to Journal 3 when version 3 came official and stable without any additional modifications in Opencart (currently my OC version is 3.0.2.0)?
Hi, Journal 3 is a new theme, separate installation, so not an update to Journal 2. Opencart version is fine, 2.3.0.2 is earliest supported.

Hi, it will only load a single module based on device, that’s the entire idea of the advanced status mechanism, it’s different than Visibility, the module is not rendered at all, except on in indicated devices.

I have purchased this theme this morning from theme forest. After payment was done no link was received. I then check and see that there is a confirmation to be done ….to Confirm your email address to complete your order. We previously sent an email to name@domain.com with a confirmation link. Can’t find the email? Resend,, This has been going on for the last 12 hour. During which i have tried to get support from “support@digital-atelier.com” it bounced back..I spent 3 hours trying to find a way to send an email to any email address..they really don’t want to be found easily, i tell you..nevertheless, i finally send an email to help@market.envato.com and got a response after 3 hours..being told i need to confirm my email to complete my order, and check junk and spam folders..i responded saying this was done..but not heard back from them….I then contacted my email service provider..and heres what i got back : :”It would seem they use Mandrill App to send those emails; that company is listed on multiple public blacklists that most (a small percent doesn’t) paid email providers use. You’ll have a tough time receiving that email unless you use a free service like Gmail or Yahoo. This would be affecting multiple of their customers; Themeforest.net would need to contact MandrillApp to notify them that their services are listed on multiple blacklists so that MandrillApp can research and resolve their issue. After that they will be able to send to most providers again as they would no longer be on the black lists….CAN I GET A LINK TO THE THEME I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR…

You buy the theme from Envato and it must be downloaded from your Themeforest download page, where the license code is also found. We cannot send you the theme directly, has to be downloaded from your account.
