You can only choose weed pattern https://www.screencast.com/t/es6Xv9egB8RM because this is a pre-defined background style for Bolge theme. If you wish something more advanced, you should insert Slider Revolution graphics to your section.

A couple pre-purchase questions:
1. On a single type page, is it possible to have static captions (text) below images, similar to how it appears on the Standard portfolio type page?

1) Since you could make Single Portfolio pages using WPBakery page builder you are able to achieve that images+text combination.
2) Description for images in lightbox is hidden, but with minor custom css it could be shown after the arrows for navigation. Our support team will gladly help you with this part.

There seem to be some issues with the site. It is super slow or doesn’t load at all. I tested it with different Browsers (Desktop: Firefox / Chrome and Mobile: Safari). Is you click a link to a subpage the site is in endless load mode. Had this issue a few days ago and today.
Is this something that you are aware of, is it an issue with the used server? As I am very interested in the theme. Thank you.

We just tested what you said in our live demo and we experienced no issues at all. Everything loads correctly and rapidly. We even tried from Macbook device, thinking it could be due to cross-OS issue, but it’s not. From our side all child menu items, including 3rd level works very well. Perhaps your internet connection is poor, please try from a different Wi-Fi or cabled connection. Thank you.

Unfortunately its a paid subscription service and not something that I enjoy paying extra for given its pretty much a standard option on all Wordpress templates that use WP Bakery these days – odd you decided not to include it.

When it comes to Contact form, this is the default one that comes with our theme http://bolge.elated-themes.com/elements/contact-form/ of course, you may customize the appearance to your desire and insert anything you want, because Contact Form 7 allows you to.
