in joural 2, I can add icon with image file, but there is no option to do that on journal 3.

Hi, do you have any screenshots on any new header designs you will be adding to your new demos? Did you fix the checkout page issue for digital downloads? Specifically, for digital products, with flat rate disabled and no shipping ( cloned the settings from my live 2.3.0.2) It still wouldn’t let me proceed to buy and confirm. My ticket was closed so never really knew. Thank you.
Hi, 90% of all future demos headers are already in the theme, they will be made with those 3 header modules. What people don’t understand is that those are modules, not single headers. This means you can create 1000 different “Classic” or “Compact” headers via the + button http://take.ms/lqR4R There are more header modules coming out with different structures like search and cart in the main menu bar, etc. but we don’t have screens yet – however the new demos are imminent, we just completed the default one 100%.
As for you issue please consult with our developers. Tickets get closed after 7 days of inactivity but you can always file a new one. Some issues can take longer to resolve so thank you for you patience!

would be nice if you guys start working on better looking templates also. I’m tempted to buy another template because your layouts are boring and ugly. The only decent one is number 13.
Well now, I admin J2 demos are quite old (they’re designs from 4 years ago) but not necessarily boring and ugly – that’s pretty low class.
Moreover, your taste is very questionable if 13 is your only pick, but everyone likes different stuff and speaks from personal opinion.
With that said, all of our efforts have been poured into the new Journal 3 engine for the last 2.5 years, which will create lots of new and modern demos in the very near future.

it`s not about the taste. it`s more about what i can do with the engine and how i can understand it. If my skill and capacity to remember all the functions you put in there is not as big as yours, doesn’t mean you have to make it personal and say i have questionable tastes .. think about it .. i bought this as part of my tastes .. maybe i was wrong?
without any more polemics, if i offended your work and effort by saying it looks ugly and boring , i apologize. (although 4 years without a visual update it’s a pretty long period. look at other themes.)
It’s not about that, it’s about judging a book by its cover. Journal goes much deeper than that, it’s a powerful tool for designers who like to create custom stores for themselves or their customers. It was and will be the most customizable for Opencart. That said, demos are very important and we’re working on many new ones but currently we made sure the new J3 core engine is completed and only now are beginning to focus on more demos.

I found out that SEO pretty URL’s doesn’t work in categories, they works fine with products. If i type them manually in the address bar, they works – is this because of megamenu? Would you fix this any time soon please?

Hi, you can install any language and Journal will provide additional input fields in the admin, however these only apply to the storefront, the custom admin Journal module is only available in English.

Hello, I have installed Nitro Pack Plugin in Opencart and Journal theme is running. Often it happens that entire css gets invisble on front end and site looks entirely white. This happens all the time. Please let me know whats the issue.

Hi, I’d like to install journal3 on to opencart version 2.1.0.2…. is it possible? Hi, the oldest Opencart version supported is 2.3.0.2 so we can’t guarantee or provide support for version older than that. Admin is in English but you can have any other language installed, just the Journal admin panel will always be in English.

Hi! Since I decided to upgrade opencart to 3.0.2.0. I have choosen to install the RC3 version of Journal. Our shop is still in maintanence mode. After updating to the last RC version and tried to import the demo data I can’t see the settings for Journal theme properly any more. They are shown just as a text string. The issue is not shown when using English as admin language, but if I change to Swedish the issue appears. Could you please give me a hint how to solve the issue?
Hi, you need to have English installed as the Journal admin needs that, can only work in English. The storefront supports any language but the admin is only English.

Ok, with Journal2 the issue didn’t appear. When I used Swedish as language for admin, Journal2 showed English. Seems strange to change language just to edit the Journal theme. Is it not possible to make it work like Journal 2?
J3 is exactly like J2 in that regard so not sure what you’re referring to. It works the same, displays in English, could be some other misconfiguration at fault in this case. We’d need more details and access to your store so please file a ticket with temporary access.

Unfortunately I dont have support for my Journal theme any more…
We can’t say what that might be since it works fine in all other cases and haven’t heard other similar reports.
But now’s the time to renew support as the theme is on sale for a few more days. Not only you show your appreciation for J3 but you get actual support for 6 months. We won’t be able to provide it without valid support unfortunately.

I saw a post saying that Journal 2 will no longer be distributed beyond August 2018 so you may not be interested in J2 bugs anymore, however, there is a consistent bug with the Custom Section.
Create a custom section with a few sections, for example, one Most Viewed, one Specials, one Custom and add some products and set the sort order as you wish.
If any Specials product happens to be in the Most Viewed or Custom sections then their sort orders get messed up.
