Wow this new theme is amazing! I’m currently using Stockholm and have lots of portfolio items, and some custom category-aware portfolio navigation code. Would the portfolio items or code transfer over to Dessau, given you developed both themes, or would I have to start over?

Thank you for your interest in Dessau! Although we developed both themes, their framework is different, and so unfortunately your portfolio items will not transfer over to Dessau. We also added some new portfolio features to Dessau which are not currently available in Stockholm.

I installed Wordpress, the theme, and the included plugins. When I go to edit any page, I get an error on Edge “Can’t reach this page” and on Firefox “The connection was reset”. I disabled WPBakery Page Builder and could then access the “edit” page, but obviously without the ability to work within the built layout. Your help would be greatly appreciated as we are currently unable to make any changes to the demo content.

The theme itself is quite slow, the pageload I mean. Is this optimisable?

Thank you for your interest in Dessau! Yes, you can mix and combine the elements seen on our demo site. Sections on the home pages can be used for inner pages.
As for site speed, please note that we haven’t optimized our demo site speed-wise, because we wanted to show all the possible features our theme offers – so there’s a lot of content. Our support team tests the site of each user on request, and provides individual tips for improvement. Good server configuration is always necessary, plus proper image and content optimization, caching usage, etc. in order to achieve the best possible performance.

Thank you for your interest in Dessau! It has similar features to Stockholm, but they’re not identical. Dessau was created with architects and interior decorators in mind (with an emphasis on portfolio features). It uses a new, updated framework and some of the elements you see cannot be achieved with Stockholm.
