1. Most of the heading and other areas are editable from contents or theme options in this product. I am not sure about your question but if it is about the top menu items then yes, those are pages and titles are easily editable.
2. You can show/hide all the sections of the home page using theme options.

I wanted family to be able to submit recipes using a simpler form, yet maintain the flexibility to collect or add the rest of the information later on my own… Are there options to “dummy down” the recipe form to just collect the basic things like ingredients and steps (without the need to write “step 1… step 2…).

- There is no option to manage or show recipe statistics for now.
- Publishing recipe will not send an alter to the author. However, you can use any related plugin to do so.
- We do not have any checkbox on registration page. We just used standard WordPress registration options. You can get your theme customized for these custom requirements.

1) What about the headlines h1 in the recipe card and in the blog articles? They must match the title of the entry. 2) The comment form takes up half the screen, it’s terrible 3) Modal login window with URL “wp-login.php”, are you sure that all your template buyers will close it through robots.txt?

1. The h1 tag issue for single templates was mentioned before and will be addressed in the coming update we are going to launch in 2 weeks.
2. The comments form is WordPress’s default form which is styled according to the design. I can provide you restyling for this area for specifically your website as we do not have any plan to change it for now.
3. Users can easily disable header login options from Theme Options. If your question is about anything else then please explain so that I can answer.
4. I am not able to understand your questions about the meta keys and saving each recipe in different meta keys as you mentioned. It is WordPress’s standard way of doing things. Please let me know what you want to ask about this area.

I checked the source and I see no schema itemprop parameters in the recipe and as to me, this would be super important amongst some other optimizations to make the search bots to love you. Since it is important to have on the recipe singular pages that is why the single template is more focused according to this topic. It would be great to add the schema.org meta to main page as well prior to the fact that a project is not only populating the recipe itself but also some collections of recipes etc. that would mainly sit on the main page. Anyway, it is a step forward.
P.S. You have 1 error for the calories, where it is not part of the Recipes but of NutritionInformation . I am sure this could be easily fixed on your side with a single change of the meta property.

The microformat rules are changing over time. The calories were added separately due to an error previously suggested by the microformat testing tool. We will fix this one in the coming update as well.

We do not have plans to add recipe related meta in main or listing pages for now. But it is a good suggestion and I will add that in our update list. I can not give you any timeline for this functionality as it will be discussed before we work on it.
We will be working on the blog posts functionality and will add schema related to posts in one of the coming updates. Again, I can not promise to do that in the coming update. But it will be added one of the coming updates for sure.

You can use this theme for a single user who can upload his/her recipes. The front end functionality is available only for the existing users so If you do not have any external users then it is good to go. You can also hide the front end recipe related form from the menus.
We are continuously updating this theme and next update will be in coming month maximum. We are keeping our products up to date according to the industry needs.

You can enable or disable the registration on your website. You also receive an email when a new user is registered on your website. It is WordPress’s default functionality.
There is a setting available for a submitted recipe if you want it to be saved as a draft or posted right away. The default setting is to be saved as a draft.
The user does not receive an email when his/her recipe is posted. There is no setting available for now.
Admin will receive an email when a new recipe is submitted.

1. Every recipe has its own single page. I am not sure why you need a separate shortcode for each recipe.
2. You can make as many pages as you want in WordPress default environment. We use shortcodes where we need contents which have limitations from default functionalities.
