1) It’s not possible to have “purchase and read”. On purchasing, the book becomes downloadable.

2) There are no limits to the number of books.

3) There is a simple CSS code that we can provide you with. It will make the text unselectable.

It is not possible because, as you can see, when the menu is shown, it overflows part of the site content. That’s why it’s best to be left toggleable.

The theme implements the Easy Digital Downloads plugin – with it you can sell your book and in your case the epub format does a good job. Once the plugin is installed and activated, a Downloads menu will be shown on the let of the Admin Dashboard – there you can Add New book, which is your book.

From Book Chapters, again on the left sidebar of the Admin Dashboard you can add chapters for that book. There you can add chapters similarly to how you add a blog post in WordPress – Add the chapter title and add the text in the content. Most importantly for each chapter you need to adjust on the right side (under the Post/Update button when you edit the chapter) the Chapter Belongs To field and select the book you have added on before that.

You can also find in the documentation on how to create and add such buttons like Read The Book button.

After much trial and tribulation I was finally able to understand how to activate “Read-the-book” —-BUT now the MENU icon does not show up on the segment where the book pages are shown in “read the book.” How can I restore the menu icon (the three stripes)?

Could you deactivate any 3rd party plugins, as there could be a faulty one that results in the menu icon not showing? If the problem persists, please send us a link to the page with the problem.

As WordPress always creates a Single Page for every Page, Post or in this case Book Chaper, you can “access” the chapter this way – with a direct link to it. But the default way the theme shows it is when the “Read The Book” is clicked. There the chapter will be visible like in the demo of the theme.

Hi there, as you can see each page is a chapter. When flipping to the next page, a new chapter is shown. There is a scrollbar that appears when the current chapter is longer.

After you install and activate the Easy Digital Downloads plugin, you can add multiple books form the Downloads tab on the left sidebar of the Admin Dashboard. From the Book Chapters tab on the left, you can attach the different chapters to the different books
