After testing thoroughly it appears that there’s a conflict with the theme and the Woocommerce checkout process.
When attempting to checkout and finalize the order, the page won’t recognize the select field value for billing state and stops the checkout process. It simply isn’t allowing the value.
Only the Iron Band theme is affected by this. All other themes allow for the order to go through without any issues.
All plugins have been tested for the issue and are up-to-date.
Any ideas as to what might be the conflict/Issue?
I’m preparing to launch and need this resolved ASAP.

I already opened a ticket.
The problem is specifically attached to any select menu on the chekout page.
It either:
• Gives it the last previous value used (Persistent Session Cookie?)
or
• If the browser cache/cookies are deleted, the field shows no value on submit and won’t take another value (and won’t checkout) unless I switch themes and then the checkout process is perfect.
Enabling/Disabling caching has no effect.
The cookies (billing_country, billing_state) seem to be reset upon submitting the form and thus the form won’t submit. Again, it’s only the select menus.

Hi. I’d like to change the “gig” url to “events”. I see your step-by-step instructions here from 5 years ago. But it says to go to Pages and select the Gigs page to edit the URL. But I don’t see a Gigs page. I only the Gigs category in the left side menu. I have version 2.1.1. Please advise. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I realize how to change the URL but what I was saying is that I don’t see a “Gigs” page at all in my Pages. So I can’t change the URL of a page that doesn’t exist: https://d.pr/free/i/Y99osB
I have an Events page with the URL of “events” that uses the Gigs template. But when I view an event on the website, the url still says “sitename.com/gig/event-name”
I cant tell why you dont have a the Gig page, but your event page it used the same template. https://d.pr/free/i/GKTPMW In fact, you can change the gig archive permalink, but you cant change the “gig” slug name for all single event post. All the single gig page use the “gig” slug in the permalink. If you want to change this, you have to use a third part plugin, but this is beyond the scope of our support. sorry.

Installed on a blank Wordpress 5 site, tried to publish a sample post, get the publishing error. It must be a wordpress 5 thing, what on earth were they thinking?

The slider is only available in the homepage. But it is not so hard to customize your theme with a child-theme and create a new page template with the slider. You have to call the slider with the php function
echo iron_get_home_slider();
Of course if you dont have any php knowledge, some help will be required. Core customization is beyond the scope of our support.

Thanks, Mate. I solved it with a different Twitter Plug (mainly a formatting issue it seems). I’m now working on sorting out how to fix main menu links. The pages and links have different urls. I’ll work on it a bit and reach out to you about this issue if I can’t solve it. Thanks.

you have to add a twiter widget (wp-admin>appearance>widget). Fill the screen name field.
And go to wp-admin>ironband>soical media>twiter feed And add Twitter Apis and tokens.

WooCommerce template issues + load time overall
I was wondering if the next update for Ironband Wordpress will have the CSS files grouped into fewer stylesheets and if the compatibility with WooCommerce will get faster.
Whenever I add the plugin I get template errors in connection with the Ironband theme there are also several site loading elements relating to the .js and .css that is slowing down my load time.
I love the theme. Do not see changing it for a while, if I do I may go with SoundRise but I just want to know if these issues will be updated.

For the CSS/JS combined, did you try to use a cache plugin (such as W3 Total Cache) as the plugin could minify/combine these files to reduce the number of requests ?

Hi Thanks so much for your prompt response, which is why I pretty much am sold on Iron Templates 
I did try Super Cache and WP Minify. I went through and did a load test on GT Metrix and YP Slow and most of it was the jquery and javascript codes. I’m also creating an external style sheet for the amazon and mailchimp codes to link to instead of putting the code in the header. I plan on launching a course next year and other products and just need the WooCommerce to load faster as well as my overall website. When does the next Ironband Wordpress update come out?
Also, is the WP Total Cache better than WP Super Cache? Does the Total Cache minimize Js and CSS so I don’t need to use the Minify plugin? Trying to decrease how many plugins I use so that’s why I tend to go for writing custom code over plugins if possible.

Have you tried WP-Rocket ? its pretty solid (but its a paid plugin).
for the next update, unfortunately I don’t have ETA yet.
And for the cache plugin, I can’t say which is the best because i never tried Super Cache. Perhaps you should check on the author of the cache plugins to learn more about how they minify/combines files. Im not quiet expert on these cache plugins and i dont want to missguide you.
