Thank you for bringing this subject up. As the theme is right now, you can password protect an episode post, which won’t appear in the RSS feed, thus won’t be available via podcast directories. This is standard out-of-the-box WordPress functionality, available right now.

The general problem here is premium (password protected) podcast feeds are by their nature, private. Because of this, these podcast feeds cannot be submitted to podcast directories such as iTunes, Google Play, etc.

I recommend a strategy where you provide free supplemental content to submit to podcast directories as a way to promote your premium podcast. The free podcast could be a 5-minute sample from each premium episode or simply a short format version of your premium extended format. The premium content would be managed with a specialized WordPress plugin that offers payment, subscription management (and all those details automatically via roles and capabilities, so you won’t be needing the password protection model). The premium content would then be available via your website, making it easy to manage and control. Just to give you an idea, here are some plugins that can handle this: MemberPress, S2Member, Simple Membership, Prevent Direct Access, just to name a few.

Hi, thank you for your interest. The theme uses it’s own personally developed solution for audio podcasts, so there will be no need to use an external plugin. You will be able to host your episodes and submit them to a podcasting service, among many other useful features.

Thank you for your purchase and kind words. The theme can import your episodes from an external RSS feed and the media files will remain on your original podcast provider, sure. Now, about those social icons in the header. The theme checks the URL of the custom links added in that Social Links menu location and automatically decides which social icon to display. Good news, compatibility with WooCommerce is under development and will be integrated into the next update. The Visual Composer page builder should work with any theme, especially a well-coded one like Castilo. Additionally, the theme contains early support for the new Gutenberg editor, which will replace the default WordPress editor soon. Hope this helps.

Hi, there is no option to add a sidebar to the homepage. Currently you can add a sidebar to the blog, pages with the Listing template and pages with the Sidebar template. I may be able to assist you on this, please contact me via the Support channel and I’ll do my best to help right away.

Can I Import different show podcast and not just only one. I like to have many podcast from different authors.

I’m trying to get the manual cron job to work but is not doing anything. What am I doing wrong? In the category i write the name and number ID but no results.
