Sorry, we found that it seems to be a problem in our theme. You need to switch to sidebar login form instead of dropdown in Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Header builder.

Will, our header is not using header builder, there’s no option to migrate our current settings into header builder? because if we update into 3.0, our header settings will override using the default woodmart header
Unfortunately, there is no automatic migration tool. But there is not much work there. You can create a header from our predefined templates that look the same as your old headers. And then just replace the logo and custom information if you used any.

This icon is not for contacting your website administrators. It is a part of “Share icons” and it is dedicated to allow your visitors to share your website links with their friends. You can customize the code for it in the file “inc/shortcodes/social.php”.

@lao6097 Use the header builder on 2.10 version to recreate your header. It is really very easy to do that. Follow the tutorials. Then update to version 3 and use the header from the builder. The guys did a great job in version 3. Some things had to be removed for the better. Trust me is very easy to create your header.

In this situation, you don’t need to update the theme at all and keep using 2.10 that is a stable one. Without this changes, any of our new features will not work. Our old header was deprecated for more than half a year and there was a warning message in Theme Settings too. We have cleaned a lot of JS, CSS and PHP code that is now much better for performance. And it is much easier to create custom header with header builder that do custom work in PHP and CSS.

The solution to stay with the old version is easy but as you can imagine sooner or later the theme will become useless since I will not be able to update to the latest woocommerce versions.In other words I will stuck in this situation.There must be a solution for those who don’t want to use the header builder.You shouldn’t abandon your customers. Regards
But from other side, it is not impossible to constantly improve the theme and make it compatible with all possible code customizations made by theme customers or their developers at the same time. It means that sooner or later, your customization will stop work even if we will not remove our old header code. Anyway, developers should understand that if they customize the theme code, they have to be ready that they will need to review their changes after theme update. That is what we always do when a new version of WPBakery or WooCommerce is released. We made customization to their templates so we know that we will be always have to update our customization to follow their releases. So now you need to create a new header with header builder and apply your customization from scratch. But be sure that it will make your website better. We don’t do this just for fun. We spend 4 months working on new 3.0 update to deliver best functions and performance for our customers. Also read comments from other customers like @newsprince. He works with our theme for a long time and know it best.

Since 3.0 update the website appearance has changed a lot. Now logo is missing and there is a green bar on top of the header. In Theme Settings the is no fleld for logo, so I suppose that I would have to create a header. Do you have a guide for a easy migrate from 2.1o to 3.0 ?

Our old header settings were deprecated since 2.0 version and we finally removed it to clear our theme from a lot of unnecessary code. So after the update, our header builder function is turned on so you need to configure a new header for your website. Actually, there is no much work there. As we can see, you just need to change colors, logo image, and top bar text in Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Header builder. You can find all the necessary tutorials and instructions for this in our documentation https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/header-builder/
