so I understand how to increase logo size. But how do you also increase the header space for the logo? so I can see all of my logo… the section shown in black here: http://prntscr.com/laozis

Sorry about that. If you allow a greater width for the logo image using CSS, the height of the image will force the bar to grow. Look in the CSS for the .logo class and set a larger max-width value. Also make sure you have the logo in a wide enough column.

Hello, I am not able to edit or insert links anymore. You answered me in my ticket that this was not possible in Variant. But in your help doc it says right click on the link and choose edit. But the “choose edit” thing does not show up, instead, when I right click on a link or a chunk of words, or just one word, it lets me either “expand or shrink column, clone or remove”. That’s not what I want. I need to apply in-page navigation links, and external links to phrases. I can’t apply text decoration either (bold, underscore, italic) other than with keyboard combinations like ctrl+b.

When you highlight a word with your mouse, you should have the format editor appearing. There you can edit links and choose Bold, Italic and Underline etc.
Let me know if you are not seeing any menu appear above your selection when you highlight the word.

Well no, it doesn’t appear. Even after I reset Variant, reloaded my pages, tried in incognito mode. Nothing helps.

Hello, I just downloaded this and tried to upload the theme.

It appears you have purchased the HTML version of Stack and you are attempting to install in WordPress. For WordPress you will need the Stack WordPress theme.

Yes, you can test this by either using the responsive simulator in your desktop browser, or by squeezing your desktop browser window’s width down to tablet or phone width. Most responsive design is based on the viewport width nowadays.

Sorry but there is not currently an Undo function for Variant’s actions. You can use undo for may typing actions by using ctrl+z or if you are on a mac, use command+z.
If you delete something it is still kept in the page and you can recover the deleted item by using the “Show trash” button.
Then click the faded item you wish to recover, then click the hide trash button to hide all the deleted items.

URGENT PLEASE *I am not able to save anything.*** In order to solve the problem with the image library being empty, I opened the Builder in an incognito tab in Chrome, and the builder was just totally empty!!!! Nothing saved at all! Please help, I don’t want to lose all my work. I tried to export my page in .variant and .html and it just produced a 7ko zipfile… That can’t be the complete page. I unziped this file and opened my index page, and indeed everything is missing. Only the text was saved!! Can anyone help please? Going nuts!

Responded to your ticket. Opening Variant in Incognito is not recommended as your pages will not be saved. Variant pages are stored in the browser storage, and nothing is saved by the browser in incognito mode.

Oh thanks, I opened variant in incognito bc I saw another post here talking about this. And indeed in incognito mode it works much better, bc the library shows up (still without my images).
Library images need to be copied to the img folder and imported within variant. Did you see if your images are located at the end of the library?

I solved it after I found out what to look for. I didn’t know there was this “import image” link at the bottom of the library bc it was hidden. Thanks for your support

Is there a way to join the author by email???? I am stuck, impossible to edit images. Now it looks like the whole image library is empty (when I click on edit image, it opens a blue empty space) although the img folder is still there with everything inside. It looks like this will never work… Anyone knows another way to replace images in the blocks? Please? Thanks

Responded to your ticket on this issue. You can reset the image gallery by clicking the cog (bottom left corner) and clicking “Reset Image Gallery”. Then reload and import your images again. Just make sure they are in the img folder, not the /variant/img folder.

I reset the image gallery like you said, but that did not change anything. My images are still missing. I don’t know how to import images (other then adding them manually into the img folder), there is no such fonction. Thanks for the support

The image must be added to the img folder and also you must use the Variant “import” function to make variant aware that the images are now located in your img folder. That will make it appear in your gallery. Also be aware that the image may appear at the bottom of the gallery.

The thing is, this “import image” never appeared. I finally reduced my browser to 80% and than it showed up. But it was struggling to look for something when you don’t know where to look 
All good now.

You need to have a pre-filled filters div on the page, sorted in your own order then the scripts will not automatically fill it out in alphabetical order.

Maybe I’m missing something dead simple. But I cant find “Landing Page 4” in the variant builder. In Fact a lot of the live preview ones are not there.. Am I missing something?

Due to the limitations of the builder, you can only build with the blocks you see in the sidebar here: http://trystack.mediumra.re/variant/builder.html
Some of the other block’s functionality needs to be added once you export your page to HTML.

Can you provide a list of things/steps that is still required after I have created exported pages from the website?
E.g. Like the first step is to FTP transfer the pages to the web server, and do I then have to get some to develop the functionalities for the contact form etc?
Hi there,
Once you’ve exported your pages from the builder, upload the pages along with all other template files (CSS folder, IMG folder, JS folder etc.) to your web server via FTP. Be sure to have a page named index.html for your home page.
As for the contact form functionality, this requires a PHP setup and the instructions for doing so can be found in the template documentation here: http://trystack.mediumra.re/docs/stack_docs/index.html

Is the demo website builder the actual builder /full experience? or there are still hidden features in the purchased one?

Yes, the demo you see of the builder is a full experience. All backend features need to be created by yourself if you would like to make login, comments etc.
There is a Joomla Stack theme available here on Themeforest and also a WordPress theme which supports the Variant page builder.
