I just checked the document. It will be required to import the Home page of live demo and also import settings as available inside your main download/dummy_data/default/settings.txt. Yes – followed each step in your index instruction. I installed the theme in another blog which worked fine here www.myfatcloud.com/home1; for the main root – the posts are overlapping, same procedure performed in for the installation.
User for root domain sent to your email.
I reset all settings to default and it resolved the single posts and sidebar overlapping. If I add your settings.txt to the site, it messes it up.

Thank you for purchasing the theme. That text can be edited inside WordPress admin’s Appearance > Theme Options > Header > Top left Callout Text. If you want to change the text in footer, kindly edit it inside the “Footer” tab of theme options.

Hi, My site is up and running again. Thank you! My featured images no longer show up in the blog post though. How do I make them appear at the top while you are reading the post? In the example below there should be a photo at the top

The featured image is available in post, but might be set to hide in theme options. You can check this inside WordPress admin’s Appearance > Theme Options > Single > Single post image. Uncheck this option and Save settings. This will insert featured images in single posts.
I also notice that your site has no gap between content and the sidebar. Kindly set this inside Appearance > Theme Options > General > Gutter width. Provide a gutter width like 24 or 28 and save settings.

Thanks for the gutter width advice. Worked great. The featured image still doesn’t show up though. It only shows the name of the photo it still doesn’t display the photo when you click on the post.

If you are using Jetpack’s image resize module, or any other image resizing plugin, kindly disable it. I see that there is an extra parameter “fit=xx” appended at the end of image URL which is not working with the theme’s BFI image resize. Possible added via JetPack.

The theme is fully compatible with WordPress 5.0.x The function named tribe_is_map is not a NewsPlus theme function. If it was added by you during any customization, I would suggest updating the theme with latest one. That shall fix the issue.

The theme is fully compatible with WordPress 5.0. However, the King Composer plugin is not yet compatible with this release. The theme uses King Composer for displaying Home pages and post modules. In order to continue using King Composer in classic mode, you will need to install official Classic Editor plugin. We can only wait if the King Composer plugin releases any update for compatibility with Gutenberg editor.

The auto ad insertion after certain number of paragraphs is not built-in currently. But it supports the Ad Inserter plugin with all such features.

I have just updated my WordPress site to the latest version of your theme and now I am experiencing several bugs. First the theme options page is extremely slow and will not save any changes to the options. In the console I am receiving a type error, which is: “TypeError: $(...).wpColorPicker is not a function” this error is coming from /themes/newsplus/js/admin.js:183:27. I have installed all recommended and required plugins for your theme and deactivated all other plugins and am still receiving the type error. I need to get this site configured with the current version of the theme, so I appreciate any help you have. Thank you.

I just re-checked the latest theme version with latest WordPress and other known plugins installed. I do not see any error in console. The wpColorPicker function uses the following core file of WordPress:
wp-admin/js/color-picker.js
So make sure this file is available on server and is loaded in admin area. You can confirm this by viewing the source code of admin area in browser and then search for the color-picker.js file. If it is presennt, click on the file address to see if it is not empty. If there is no such file, you may need to upload it manually or update the WordPress installation with fresh new files.

Bug? The dialog of the plugin YOAST SEO Version 9.02 is not displayed correctly in the dashboard under the post! The input fields of YOAST SEO are missing. In other themes YOAST SEO 9.02 works correctly!

As in the error message, the problem is with the analysis-902.min.js file. This file might be part of some plugin. It is not in the theme. Kindly send me the site URL. I will check the source code and will let you know which plugin or source this file is coming from.

The problem was obviously with YOAST SEO version 9.02 itself. Meanwhile, there is YOAST SEO 9.03, everything works again!

Just to add one more thing: I dont think that King Composer is working properly, and i cant download any pre build homepage. I tried upload imported settings on Theme options, but i got “Unable to import settings. Either import field is empty or the data is invalid.”. Again, thanks a lot for the support.

Hello – Today I downloaded the most recent update to NewsPlus to update my client’s older version of this theme on their website. I installed all necessary plugins. The King Composer seems not to work. I still only see WordPress version of the page editor. When I click this, nothing happens, and I am unable to use King Composer page editor. Before updating the latest version of NewsPlus, we downloaded the latest version in July and we built a test site to ensure proper functionality. Today, we downloaded the most current version, which is compatible with the most recent version of WordPress, and King Composer does not work at all for us. Please assist.

King Composer is enabled for posts and pages by default. It might happen that you will not see it in Custom Post types unless enabled. But if it is the case with normal posts and pages, do you see the “Edit with King Composer” blue button? If not, I will need to log in and check the issue. Can you give a little screenshot with query monitor about how much queries (SQL) this theme load on the demo page for example. Actually i have a good theme but load (400Q) with 230 only for home page which is terrible because of some restrictions i are not able to use a cache plugin. Number of queries on Home page are controllable, and will highly depend on how many post modules you use on Home page. For example, the Home 1 of live demo has 111 Queries whereas another page as 280 queries as it uses more posts.
Queries can be controlled by using less number of post modules in Home page and getting most our of same query. For example, in some demos I use multiple WP Query to show 1 post in another style and rest of the 5 posts in different styles. So it will depend upon kind of style you want and number of module instances.
